Magnificent Sound and Ocean View/Sound Access and POOL!

Our Condo is located on Spencer Creek and Pamlico Sound, it has the most breath taking views of the Sound from the balcony and master bedroom. This cozy condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the third floor overlooking Pamlico sound. Ocean views and beautiful sunrise from front deck. The sunsets at night are magnificent from the back balcony. Watch the wind surfing and kite boarding on the sound from balcony.
There is a TV in both bedrooms. The living room has TV, DVD and stereo. Cable and Wireless internet 'WIFI' is also provided. Books, games and movie collection for family fun. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, small appliances. There is a new range and new dishwasher for 2018 season. Relax or swim at private pool. Rent or bring your own kayak. Ocean Air water sports is just next door and rents jet ski, kayak, paddle boards and other water sport items. Early morning walk on beach or Early Ocean swim! Just step across street to the beautiful Avon beach. Our pier on Spencer Creek is perfect for fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking. 4- wheel drive beach access is just up the road. Side walks are a new addition to this area. Great for daily walks or a day of shopping in gift shops and beach shops. Enjoy a morning bike ride. Bring your bike or rent a bike and store in ground floor storage closet. Several beach rental stores are close for bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, and surf boards. Items can be delivered to condo. Fish cleaning table and laundry room on site. Outdoor shower located next to pool. On site Grill and picnic area. Grocery shopping at Food Lion just 5 min. up the road. 3 blocks away is DQ for the evening Ice Cream trip. Great Restaurants along Hwy 12. Ketch 55, Bros Sandwiches, Oceanea, Mad Crabber and many more. Coffee shops, Ice cream stores, Kitty Hawk Kites, Life is good and other gift stores all in walking distance.

This Condo is serviced by Hatteras Helping Hands as the cleaning service and repair service. Bed linens will be supplied. This will be included in quoted rental fee. Hatteras Helping Hands can also supply towels, concierge service , grocery shopping and delivery services for a reasonable fee. Information is on Hatteras Helping Hands web site.

Note: For pier fishing on property, temporary inexpensive fishing licenses are required by NC Fish and Game . Licenses are available in many local stores.

This was the perfect beach condo for my family. It fit me, my husband and our 3 kids perfectly and had a great view of the sound. We really enjoyed using the dock and having the choice to walk to the ocean or drive. We chose to drive out on the beach most days but did walk a couple of times. The condo was clean and has everything we needed to cook dinners and dishwasher. The condo is on the 3rd floor so it’s a little of a hike at first but gets better. The laundry room was also nice and reasonable to wash clothes. Thank you for sharing your home with us for the week!

My husband and I enjoyed two wonderful weeks at this condo. The location was perfect, with views of the bay and dock and beautiful sunsets from the balcony. The balconies in the building are set back from each other (not adjacent) so very private, and the high top table with chairs allowed for even better views. We were on the top floor, so had the best. Thankfully my husband and I are physically fit, although we're in our 70s, so had little difficulty going up and down the four flights of stairs. The condo was very clean, and decor lovely. Access to the laundry room required walking down the stairs and around to the side of the building with another short flight of stairs, but we dried clothes on the balcony on the drying rack . Restaurants, shopping and beach access across the street are within easy walking distance. My husband enjoyed fishing off the Avon pier and thedock outside the condo. Restaurant recommendations are Pangea, Cafe Palmico (great views of their dock), Oceanas Bistro, Ketch 55 and Rugs across the field in Avon and Diamond Shoals in Buxton. We tried getting to Ocrakoke but discovered when we got to the ferry terminal that only the vehicle ferry was running due to mechanical problems with the passenger ferry which would not be running again the following day (our last day). Since the vehicle ferry can apparently only transport 25 cars at a time and there were well over a hundred cars lined up, we left. Call ahead for ferry status and arrive early.

Family vacation 2024

Very nice place. Place was clean and convenient to everything we needed. Beautiful sunsets off the back deck. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location with sound and ocean access! Everything we needed in our rental was available. Great pool. Lots of wildlife to enjoy! Three precious otters in the canal, baby rabbits in the backyard and a very light colored raccoon. Convenient to everything!…groceries, water sports, ferry, great food. Best vacation in years.

What a great location and cute condo with lots of characther! So great to be able to walk to the beach and the sound and enjoy sinrise from the front deck and sunset from the back deck! Excellent hosts!

Wonderful Week

My family and I had a wonderful time on our week long visit. This was the same property we used last year and loved it so much that it was a must for our annual beach trip in 2023. Wonderful Condo in Avon

My husband and I very much enjoyed our long weekend in Avon overlooking the Sound and the Ocean very close by. The condo was decorated in wonderful nautical style which we really enjoyed. The kitchen was fully equipped. Avon is the perfect spot on the Outer Banks because it is perfectly located to visit Hatteras as well as Nags Head. I highly recommend this condo.

Perfect week at the beach.

My family and I had a perfect week staying in this condo. It had everything we needed (except towels of any kind, make sure you pack them) and had easy access to the beach. We loved enjoying the pool and even had it to ourselves frequently. The stairs did get to be a bit tiresome after long days and walks on the beach, so if you have issues with stairs I would keep that in mind. The view from the balcony was perfect and I enjoyed it most mornings and nights. Overall I saved the property and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good place with all the amenities one could need for a week away from home.

This condo is in a great location with amazing views. There are a decent amount of steps to get to the third floor but it is well worth it. Great communication with the owners. I would say the cleaning service could do a better job. Upon arrival, there were clumps of hair on the floor in the bathrooms, a fake eyelash on the floor, a hair bonnet that was left, and goldfish all over the back deck. We also cleaned the kitchen/dinning room floor because of how sticky it was. We don't blame the owners for the cleanliness and would still recommend staying at their property!

Our New Favorite Beach Place

First time to OBX and we are so glad that we chose Dave and Jeanne Dugan's condo to stay at. Truly beautiful views morning and night! Contacted Jeanne and she was really responsive! We realy appreciated that! Condo was really nice! Quiet and so relaxing! Just what we needed! We did not want to leave! Avon was a great town to stay in! Quiet, food was great and really just a small drive away from many attractions. We walked right up street for breakfast many mornings. Kitty Hawk Kites and ocean rental place right next door. Already checked to see if they had any other weeks available this summer!

Enjoyable vacation

Check in/check out was easy. Communication was good. Condo location was quiet but convenient. Pool area was nice and we had it to ourselves occasionally. We brought kayaks and enjoyed using them in the sound. We used the 4x4 beaches and there were multiple ramps close by. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes from condo to sand. The condo is on the 3rd floor and there’s no type of lift, which was manageable for us. Thank you for sharing your condo and all the available conveniences (dishes, beach toys etc). It was our first time staying in this area and we will definitely be coming back. :)

Good week at the beach

Overall, we had a good week and had all the basic necessities. We had an issue getting into the laundry room which was frustrating for a couple hours but we did get in eventually. I was surprised that we were told to brong our own towels a few days before we checked in, I wasn't expecting that and they should have been more clear that they weren't providing anything besides bedding. There were no bath mats, hand towels, nothing cloth other than bedding. You also can't adjust the thermostat and it gets warm in the afternoon. Overall though, we liked the pool, easy walk to the beach and to get ice cream. The deck overlooking the sound was nice and we brought our own paddle boards so having an easy place to launch was great and my daighter fished right off the dock a few nights. We even used the grills one night to cook dinner which was nice to have available.

Needs some work

I was a bit shocked we couldn't turn the air up. In the evenings it got up to almost 80 throughout the apartment. This made sleeping very uncomfortable. Also, the gate to the pool is dangerous. It should never swing out over the stairs. I fell down the stairs from the top and landed on my back at the bottom. Surprisingly, I did not hurt myself more than I did. Thank goodness I didn't have my 1 year old grandson in my arms when it happened. Other than that, we did make some really good memories.

I wish you would have contacted me about the air. It has never been a problem. Sorry that you lost your balance at the pool. For safety per county inspection, the gate must open out. Our pool was just resurfaced this year and passed county inspections. I've always had great reviews and repect for my cozy condo.

Sunset beauty

Our family of four enjoyed our stay in this unit! The location was perfect for beautiful sunset views of the sound. We loved the dock on the sound for evening fishing and crabbing! DQ was only a few blocks away, making for fun memories made walking for blizzards and cones. The town of Avon itself was perfect for our laid back vacation! Our only mentionable dislike of the property was the lack of bath towels and limited bed linens. The towels are mentioned in the listing, we just failed to notice as we aren't used to rocodong our own towels for a condo. The bed linens were limited to 2 sets of sheets, despite 4 beds. However, we made do and did not contact the owners. I'm sure they would have made accomodations. Overall, we loved this unit and this area of OBX!!!

Glad your family enjoyed Avon and the sunsets from my deck. All beds are supplied sheets. If any were missing , I wish you would have notified me. Also, the 3rd paragraph of condo instructions states that you need to bring your own towels. If that was a need, I would have given you the contact to rent towels. Hope you'll consider renting again. Great location

The first words my wife said as we entered the condo was "this is nicer than the pictures." The condo was clean and neat, the rooms are just the right size (we are a family of four), and the location is excellent. The back deck provided an fantastic view of the Sound with seating for all four of us -- and the Sound is so large it feels like the Condo is Ocean-front. A gas station is less than a mile away, and a Food Lion is a bit over two miles away. Restaurants abound nearby, and major attractions like the Hatteras lighthouse, The Lost Colony show, and the Wright Brother memorial are within 20 minutes to an hour away. Despite the closeness of these things, Avon is not highly commercialized. The pool was clean, and we had it to ourselves for the three days we were there. The beach is a short walk away (although walking over those dunes in soft sand is a workout). :-) The lockable storage area contains beach chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella -- and it's large enough to store a couple of bicycles as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

This property is situated with a BEAUTIFUL view of the sound, with easy beach access right across the street. Avon was a perfect location for a 2 week vacation, with plenty to do and see, the beach is gorgeous and we spent hours on that back porch overlooking the sound and catching amazing sunsets. A wonderful master bedroom, along with a fantastic room for the kids, we had plenty of sleeping space. I've always loved the OBX, but now after staying further south away from the noise, I have a deep appreciation for Avon. What a perfect beach trip.

Great place, great view, great location

the condo was perfect for me, my husband, and 2 of our adult children. the condo was well decorated, with comfortable beds, an amazing view of the sound, and very clean! would definitely stay there again!

Gorgeous view and very well kept condo

This was the first time to the outer banks and I must say we will never go to Myrtle again for our yearly vacation. The drive was a little longer to the outer banks but absolutely worth it! The condo was clean and stocked with almost everything you could think of. The owners of the property couldn’t have made it an easier stay at their property!
