Remodeled Unit near pool and Jacuzzi at Watercrest Cottages, Wells Maine

Welcome to Watercrest.... Uniy #126 has a newly remodeled bathroom (2024) with new tub surround and decorative ceramic tile. Bathroom is neat and clean. Unit #126 is located directly across from the pool and jacuzzi. Sit on our enclosed porch with all natural woodwork and slider windows for dinner (table for two) or a cold drink while enjoying a view of the pool and jacuzzi. Our one bedroom/one bath cottage sleeps 4 people. There are two Newer double beds for your comfort. We have a dresser and a closet area for hanging your clothes. The living room offers a full sleeper sofa, two Lazy -boy style recliner chairs and a New Larger flat screen television with DVD/ VCR for your enjoyment. There is a heat & a/c unit for climate control and recessed lighting throughout the unit. The oak kitchen has a table and chairs for 4 people along with a gas stove, refrigerator and microwave oven. The kitchen is Fully stocked with pots, pans, baking ware, glasses, cups, silverware and all the kitchen utensils needed to cook and enjoy great meal. A coffee maker, and New toaster are also in the kitchen area. And YES we have a Lobsta pot. Outside we have gas grill for your outdoor barbecue cooking. A well kept cottage Located in the highly desirable "horseshoe area of Watercrest." Only minutes to Wells Beach Enjoy all that Maine has to offer...."Maine, The Way Life Should Be...."

**Unit #126 IS NON SMOKING AND NO PETS ARE ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS.**

**PLEASE BE ADVISED: YOU MAY BRING YOUR OWN LINENS AND TOWELS (FREE) OR YOU MAY RENT THEM THRU THE ASSOCIATION FOR A FEE.**

**It is also suggested you bring your own blankets as needed for comfort.**

Very charming and convenient cottage!

Great location and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Comfy beds too! We will stay here again

Communication with host was excellent. Linens was an extra fee which should not be. The nightly charge seemed high for the quality of provisions.

hello we are sorry your vacation didn’t live up to your expectations we have had continuous 5 star ratings for years For those who stay in a cottage setting in Maine it is known common practice that you bring your own linens or rent them the unit is neat and clean As for the rates charged it is the high season in Maine Guests are provided with a full kitchen which allows guests to make their own food and also cookout Please feel free to stay elsewhere cheaper that provides no amenities good luck

We were very satisfied and comfortable. It's quaint but offered plenty of space for our family of three. The kitchen was very well stocked.Being very close to the pool we worried about the noise level but this was not a concern during our stay.Thank you for the lovely stay.

Nice Stay

Had an excellent time with my family (weather wasn’t good though. Place was clean and well stocked. Pool was refreshing. Only issue was that online, check out time was 11am. When we checked in, was told check out time was 10am. Just need to update that. Would definitely come back.

Thank you for the kind comments and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We reviewed our checkout times onsite and it states 1000 am checkout? 4 pm check in. This helps to facilitate guest changeovers so everyone could have a good time. Thanks again Dan

Maine Visit

Overall the property was great! We were in a great spot right next to the pool which made it great with kids! It was also nice and quiet! Our only complaints were the shower was either SCOLDING hot or off/freezing, even with the AC going and a fan we couldn’t get the bedroom cool and the storage for food was MINIMAL (like top of fridge minimal)! It was very clean and comfy though! We would definitely book back here if food storage was improved!

Hello, We are glad you had a nice stay in our cottage. Most of our renters ( who are repeat guests) give us 5 stars for their stay for many years. We would like to address a few of the issues you stated you had during your stay. First, Not sure why you felt you had limited "food storage" as there is a full countertop, top of refrigerator, full kitchen table and a side cart for storing your supplies. Paper supplies could have been left on enclosed porch if necessary for a minimum 3 day stay?????? Second, we experienced a very hot Summer this year especially August. You stated you couldn't get the bedroom cool? The bedroom has a large, 3 speed ceiling fan, along with a ceiling fan in the kitchen running and the strong air conditioner running it should have been cool....... Last the shower control is a modern hand turn version found in most lodging facilities. The control takes some adjusting to get the water the way you want it. Good luck in future travels. Dan, Owner

Perfect getaway

This was a perfect getaway, close to everything, the hot tub and pool were a perfect way to end the day. The cabin was clean and it had everything we needed. I can't wait to stay here again!!

Wonderful long weekend

Watercrest is a great place to stay. I have stayed here in past and I would highly recommend. However after a late arrival there were no bed sheets, blankets or towels - we had called the owner and he called right back. To our surprise these things were not provided and we had to rent them but by the time we got up there the front office was closed and we had to sleep on the chairs our first night (not a great experience)s He had said it was stated in the listing however we went back to Vrbo and couldn’t find that information anywhere. We then went on to the watercrest website where it was stated (maybe he was confused thinking it was there?) Then after another email to him we never got a response - thankfully the people in the front office were beyond helpful. There was no communication leading up to our stay either. We loved our stay however in the future we will be going through watercrest itself.
