This 2BR/2.5BA unit is very spacious and roomy. It has been updated and has a fully furnished kitchen and wet bar area. Each of the roomy bedrooms have walk-in closets and their own private decks. Gulf Winds East 51 sleeps 6. 1 King size bed, 1 Queen size bed, and a sleeper sofa. Sunday to Sunday rental during the peak season. Only one parking spot available per condo. Canopies or tents are not allowed on this beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available to rent.

Destin, Florida is known as "the worlds luckiest fishing village", but we do not stop there! The whitest beaches of Florida and the Emerald Green waters are unmatched. Shop in an outlet mall, an upscale outdoor mall, or one of many boutique stores. When you are through shopping, there are endless places to enjoy the local fare or just get a quick bite. Don't forget about our water park, amusement parks, and our dozens of golf courses.

Gulf Winds East

I was excited to stay at gulf winds because of its location and access to the beach across the street. Things were going well with the amenities until the internet would just go out. I reboot the device and it would work for a day and go out. I reported to the onsite maintenance, they came and did what I did to resolve and said this looks like a personal modem that they would have to notify the owner to resolve fully. I had to continue to reset the device daily for the wifi to work. I accepted this issue. But then one night the family and I returned home later in the evening and there was not any hot water for us to shower and get clean. I called onsite maintenance and was given a reply that I would have to wait until the next morning around 9 AM for someone to look at the hot water issue. This was not reasonable as I was not clean and had an early morning appointment at 7AM to attend. I reported this and called Vrbo and then tried to reach out to onsite maintenance and was ignored. This was not resolved to my satisfaction. No attempt to compensate me for the inconvenience occured. The hot water was corrected while I was out. I was able to shower and then the following morning the hot water was out again. It was time for me to check out so I didnt bother calling again since I felt I was not a valued guest. I contacted Vrbo again to see if the host or maintenance had responded to my complaint and they informed me they had not and to go ahead and leave this info

Don't expect to much

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Booked for 7 days ,paid. Had to leave after 2 due to a family matter. I didn't ask for a refund just credit for maybe 4 days. I was refused. I'm not rich and had saved for this vacation. I am sick and knew this was going to be my last one. Company had no sympathy at all. I should have gone with a more high end property. They ask did I have the insurance, it was never offered to me. But then said ,it may not have mattered.

Amazing as always!

We loved the new refrigerator and all new sliding doors to the decks and other areas. This unit is so close to the beach. It’s so easy to walk back and forth throughout day when needed. The beds are comfortable! And having a washer and a dryer in the unit is always so nice!!! Anytime we have question, Harmony responds extremely quickly! We can’t wait for next year!

Last minute getaway….

We loved our stay! Excellent location! Steps from the pool, restaurants and the beach. The condo was updated and worked out well for our family in regards to beds and space. Would love to stay here again!

Every day of the stay there was something different whether it was a sewer smell coming from bathroom, mold in shower or water leaking.

Great Time At The Beach

It was a great choice. Our only regrets? Not booking for the entire week and only staying 5 nights.

Renting 5 or 6 units to 1 unit, we have tried other places but I keep coming back to Gulf winds for convenience to the beach. Always love renting from this company!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been staying in their rentals since 2018! We have stayed in many different ones in this complex. The kids love the heated pool and it’s always a nice back up for windy days or beach closure days. It’s a quite place a night to stay at. This complex is overrun by an HOA which is currently upgrading the units as well. We stayed while the workers were there and they did not bother us or get in our way at all. I will always come back to stay here at one of their places.

Every blade on the ceiling fan in the front bedroom was loose, so it rattled constantly and was loud. It couldn’t be used and try to sleep at the same time.

Comfortable Condo with Beach Access

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! We walked to the beach multiple times through the day and even caught crabs at sunset. The washer and dryer were perfect for our extended trip and the shower outside the pool house was a must after a day at the beach. The pool was clean and comfortable and we all felt welcome and safe. Everyone was friendly and the property was quiet. Will definitely stay again.

Updated bedrooms, kitchen pans needs edit & update

We eat-in for the whole week and for the family chefs the kitchen was lacking good pans, knives, and utensils. A nice edit of the pots & pans would be nice to get rid of the clutter.
