Unique Marina Side Condo With Great Views And Fun Atmosphere!
This nautically inspired 2-Br. Condo sleeps 4 and is on the dock level. The Bow unit offers a king-sized bed in the master and 2-twin beds in the spare room. It features full size kitchen appliances and a lovely seating area and gas grill for those evenings outside. There are 2 Full bathrooms with double size walk-in showers. And a pull out couch in case you need more room. This adorable unit is within walking distance to all area shops and the fabulous restaurants here in SWH, a coffee shop and a full restaurant/bar right here on site. We are in the heart of Acadia National Park. Features of the park such as Bass Harbor Head Light and Echo lake are just minutes away. Take a hike up Beech Cliffs or Acadia Mnt. for panoramic views of the island. Spend an evening exploring Bar Harbor and all of its shops and hustle and bustle. Make sure to try a whale watch tour out of Bar Harbor or take a sunset cruise upon a Friendship sloop right from your doorstep!
This little slice of heaven has something for everyone! This unit is one of two available at this location, should you need more space for family or friends please inquire as to availability. Both are similarly appointed and have been enjoyed by many extended family or friends groups!
We are a working waterfront here so expect early mornings, we not only see the sun first here on the Northeast coast, but the lobstermen and the salmon farmers head out super early! Most guest find the hubbub exciting and super interesting but it may not suit everyone's vision of vacation time.
We also offer a bit of adaptive gear should those considerations be of interest to our guests. Please send any questions along, always happy to accommodate any guest needs that we can.

Staying in this lovely condo on a working marina is unique VRBO experience we won’t forget! The condo was recently redone and very clean and comfortable for four adults. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck, enjoying the cool breezes of the harbor and watching the boats. The condo is walking distance from the town, a number of shops and restaurants, and the bus stop for the free Island Explorer bus to Acadia. Our host was welcoming and very responsive. I’d highly recommend this condo!

The property was great and the host was wonderful. I found it extremely convenient for going to Acadia National Park. Our trip was cut short or rather started late due to airline issues but the time there was great. Our only complaint was early morning sounds from upstairs—sounded like stomping around which can happen with any first floor unit. I would choose this property again however.

Awesome place!
Awesome place, right on the marina! You can walk to restaurants and their little downtown area, about 1/4 mile walk. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! Great place to stay, since it was only about 20 min. from Bar Harbor. Will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

We were extremely pleased with this property! The condo was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the peaceful location and the beautiful views—it was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Acadia. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were large. The photos listed on VRBO do not do this condo justice, it’s so much better than the pictures. Vacationland Coffee is a charming cafe located in the parking lot which we visited every morning. We loved ending the day at the nearby Seawall to watch the waves and enjoy the scenery. There is a small downtown area we walked to everyday for lunch or dinner, Clark Point Cafe was our favorite breakfast. Our family appreciated the selection of board and card games, which we enjoyed playing on the comfortable covered porch. My husband and I also loved the collection of books available during our stay.Bar Harbor was only about a 20-minute drive away, but we were so glad we chose to stay in Southwest Harbor instead. It was quieter, more relaxing, and much less crowded while still providing easy access to everything we wanted to do.The owner was wonderful to work with—friendly, responsive, and quick to answer any questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Acadia.

Overall, this is a lovely property with comfortable, stylish furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen, two spacious bathrooms, and two comfortable bedrooms. I have two criticisms, however. (1) On the day we checked in, I could not find a number identifying the building in which the condo is located and, because of my poor eyesight, I could not see the condo unit's name (Bow) on the door. I called the host and my call went straight to voicemail but I couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full. Very frustrating. (2) The bedroom windows face the Southwest Harbor Wastewater Treatment plant that's right next to the condo building. The plant does not smell at all, but the machinery inside the building runs twenty-four hours a day, every day, creating a loud, deep, cycling hum that means sleepless nights for light sleepers like me. Caveat emptor.

Anne, thank you for your candid review. We are not a perfect fit for everyone. We do however try to please everyone who's interested in communicating with us. We do live on an island with kinda wonky cell phone service, communication through the VRBO platform is always preferred and encouraged. Our street is undergoing a renumbering as mentioned via the VRBO portal and as you mentioned, the name of the unit is posted boldly on the door. Unfortunately we are where we are. Our harbor is small and we're all close neighbors. I'm sorry this influenced your time here. Communication is always best, we do have multiple properties and had you reached out we may have been able to make you more comfortable during your stay. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Just Wonderful
Everything u could want is here and the host even texted to let us get in early. Very comfortable beds and the walk around the marina is breathtaking. Also feels larger than its size.

Southwest Bar Harbor
Convenient location. Nice property with everything you need. It seems possible to walk to town however we did not due to sidewalk repairs.

Southwest Harbor Stay
We had a great time staying in the Marina side Bow condo. It had plenty of space for three adults. My father, who is 87, appreciated the peacefulness of the location. He could sit outside and watch the workings of the marina. It was relatively close to Bar Harbor and Acadia where we spent most of our time. Christie made a book that gave many recommendations which was very helpful. When I reached out to her, she was super responsive as well. I would highly recommend this condo if you want to be close to Bar Harbor but want a peaceful place to relax at night. We loved it!

A quiet stay by the water
This apartment at the marina was better than I expected! The pictures don’t do it justice! This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the showers never ran out of hot water, and the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with necessities. The views of the harbor right out the windows were beautiful. The area was quiet and relaxing. This was a perfect stay away from the busy tourist area of Bar Harbor, but within quick driving distance to everything on Mount Desert Island. The owner was friendly and responsive to our needs. I highly recommend!

Great location! Walking distance to SWH and close to trails, Bass Harbor and Bar Harbor. The Bow unit was spotless and a great place to end our long days. Christie, our host, was super responsive and our place was ready when we arrived. We would definitely chose this place again.

The apartment exceeded expectations. The harbor setting was charming and peaceful. We liked the location for accessing Acadia National Park- not too far, yet far enough from the hectic Bar Harbor. The apt was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable .

More than we expected.
We stayed in the “bow” unit and could not have been happier w/ our accommodations. Beautiful views of the inlet and sunrises. The condo is comfy cozy and well appointed. I lost count of the number of times that one of us commented on how pleased they were w/ the property and the close proximity to town, as in WALKING distance. Kudos to Christie, the owner.

Special Place
We’re so glad we stayed at your condo. It was so peaceful and comfortable. It was very convenient to Acadia National Park and much more quiet than the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, which was not far but more touristy.
