Book your perfect fall getaway at the Cannery's Marina-side condo Stern unit!

This marina-side condo offers great access to views of all the comings and goings of an authentic working harbor. We cater to folks from all over, the local lobster fishermen to very upscale luxury yacht's. The views are spectacular and include the occasional Bald Eagle or Peregrin Falcon sightings.

We feature full size kitchen appliances and a lovely seating area and gas grill for those evenings outside. There's two bedrooms, the Master has a king size bed with an attached bathroom. The nautical themed spare bedroom has a double bed with the bathroom across the hall. Both bathrooms feature double size walk-in showers, adaptive bathroom accessories are available. And a fold out couch in case you need more room. These adorable units are within walking distance to all area shops and the fabulous restaurants here in SWH. We are in the heart of Acadia National Park. Features of the park such as Bass Harbor Head Light and Echo lake are just minutes away. Take a hike up Beech Cliffs or St. Saviour for panoramic views of the island. Spend an evening exploring Bar Harbor and all of its shops and hustle and bustle. Make sure to try a whale watch tour or take a sunset cruise upon a Friendship sloop right from your doorstep!

This little slice of heaven has something for everyone!

Great place! We rented both units for a family vacation. There was even supplies for a lobster boil where we purchased fresh from the boats!

Christy is an amazing hostess, and the place is really unique. Laura was great as well, and the guys out on the docks are amazing. Very nautical experience in every way, and cannot wait to get back.Thanks so much Christy for making this one of our coolest vacays yet!!

Nice apartment for 2 to 4 people. Positioned near the end of a harbor. Great harbor views. The only thing to note is that it is on a working harbor, so although the accommodations were very nice, there is quite a bit of foot traffic during the summer season. I would definitely come here again on a future visit.

Folks definitely flock to open oceanfront access and are quite curious to see all the goings on at our marina especially those admiring the fancy yachts! This summer they've been quite spectacular! The Stern unit was an amazing place to stay and has recently been completely renovated. We enjoyed being on the “quieter” side of MDI. The Host was very welcoming and communicated very nicely with all of the check-in details. Would highly recommend!

This was our second visit to this property and all of our expectations were met or exceeded. The property is beautiful and perfectly located for excursions to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and other points of interest. Christie is an excellent and caring host ensuring all our needs were met. We are planning to visit again next year.

We loved the location, and the place had everything we needed. We loved being on the quieter side of the island, but still able to access Acadia, Bar Harbor, and other sights on MDI. It had been 18 years since we'd been to SW Harbor and this was the perfect place to restart our Maine traditions.

We had a wonderful few days. Southwest Harbor is beautiful and quiet. Gorgeous sunrise each day. Delicious food in both Southwest Harbor and Bar Harbor. Everything and anything you want to do is nearby and easy to get to. Host was lovely and left us a nice note. Easy to communicate with. Well kept and clean unit. Slept well. Comfortable living area. Plenty of space. Would stay again!

Loved Southwest Harbor

The condo was adorable and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. It was not too far of a drive visiting different areas in Acadia National Park. We loved walking through the marina and seeing all the boats. Check in was very easy. Will definitely come back.

Maine vacay

The property was great. It was clean and spacious for 4 adults. The area is so nice and quiet and has easy access to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Loved watching the boats go in and out each day. The view was incredible at sunrise. Would highly recommend this place for adults only not anything for children to do.

Perfect for us

My husband uses a walker and sometimes needs a wheelchair which makes vacation travel challenging. Christie was so accommodating, the Stern unit was sparking clean, spacious enough to maneuver a wheelchair, and additional adaptive devices provided by Christie made our stay wonderful. The close to town location was fun as well. We hope to return and stay longer next time.

Biking Acadia

The Stern unit was a perfect home base for my husband and a friend from Idaho . . . we loved staying away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, as we explored both sides of MDI on ebikes. Having a bike rack on our vehicle made it easy to carry the bikes to an Acadia carriage road trailhead, but to explore the SW Harbor area, we just needed to jump on the bikes. Thanks for the hospitality, Christie!

Comfortable spacious condo next to working marina

"Stern" condo offered everything we needed for our stay in MDI. The main living space was very spacious, well furnished and comfortable. Kitchen had lots of spices and pantry staples beyond the usual salt/pepper/coffee/tea more commonly provided. 2 big bathrooms were cut above too. The unit is on the ground floor, next to the marina driveway (lightly travelled but some very early morning, but windows & walls kept out most noise. (We slept fine.) We enjoyed sitting at the patio table out front of the unit - deck above provided welcome shade and cooling during hot July weather. Views straight out are of parking lot, but lovely water views from the patio to both sides. Great place to come back to after mountain hikes and exploring! Or to sit out with breakfast coffee and watch the mist rise over the harbor.

A comfortable stay in a great location

The quirky location of this condo really appealed to us when we booked, and it didn't disappoint when we saw it in person. Not only is the marina location interesting, but being on the "quiet side" of the park was very pleasant. We had been a little worried that being on a working marina might have been noisy, but we didn't have any trouble at all with noise during our stay. The only thing that would make this condo even better would be blackout curtains in the bedrooms. There are security lights right outside the bedroom windows that light up the room as though it's dusk all night long. We appreciate the security of having the lights there, especially on the ground floor, but it would have been nice to have been able to make the room a little darker. Other than that, this is a lovely, well-appointed place in a great location. Should we find ourselves in the area in the future, we'd definitely try to stay here again.

Great location right by the marina. The rental was spotless and looked to be newly renovated. It was very comfortable and well-appointed with just a short 5-10 minute walk to downtown SW Harbor. Christie was great to work with and very responsive to any additional requests. Highly recommend-would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect! We had a great time exploring the Mount Desert Island area and happy to come back to the condo at the end of the day for shower, tv shows, and rest! The condo was very spacious.

Nice location on the working dock / marina. Partial views of the marina from the unit, although some of the view was obstructed by fuel tanks right in front. Walkable to town of Southwest Harbor and convenient to Acadia trails. 30 minute drive to Bar Harbor.

Southwest Harbor Getaway

What an incredible time in SWH. The Stern condominium was all that was promised. Beautifully appointed and equipped and crystal clean. Christie was a fantastic host and the location was perfect for exploring The national park or grabbing a bite in Bar Harbor. SWH had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We will be back! Maine Retreat

The Stern unit was perfect for us! It offered the comfort and room we wanted as well as entertainment watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The location was very convenient being able to walk into town and catch the shuttle to go everywhere. Acadia is AWESOME! We plan to definitely come back. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you Christie!
