UPDATED KITCHEN CABINETS AND COUNTERTOPS as of May 2022! Just a short walk to the beach (nearest beach access is across Palm Blvd between 55th and 54th Avenue), this three bedroom and two bath cottage is a perfect setting for your vacation. While located within the gated community of Wild Dunes, 13 Sandcrab Court offers comfortable and updated accommodations at a reasonable price for a small group or family. No smoking, no pets. WIFI & Linens included. Cable Streaming available through YouTube TV package.

Centrally located within the community, permitting easy access inside and outside the gates of Wild Dunes.

*Renters do not have access to Resort pools or fitness center per Wild Dunes regulations. **Wild Dunes Resort Dining, Golf, Pickleball and Tennis are available to the public for applicable fees. *

A Home away from home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I loved our two-week stay here, away from the flooding in WNC.We spent lot of time in the bright and comfy sunroom. The master bed is ultra comfortable. We did not try the others.The updated kitchen is sunny and really well done. The home's AC and heat work beautifully.The home is a short walk to the beach. The path is next to large beautiful homes with pretty vegetation that gives them some privacy from the beach goers.THe living room in the photo is not quite as bright as it looks in the photo, but it is perfect and really comfortable for night time use.The home's decoration style is an interesting mix of updated/contemporary and slightly dated. It is obvious the owners love it and take good care of it.

Great Rental House and Location in Wild Dunes

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Comfortable house in Wild Dunes. Short walking distance to the beach, the Pavilion and the dock on the lagoon. Book thru Island Realty, not VRBO! VRBO charges a fee and then Island Realty charges a fee. Paid a lot extra for nothing! Save the money and visit Island Realty's site! Supplies were a bit low. We had to conserve on towels and toilet paper. There was no hand soap. There were lots of beds so it was nice to have flexible sleeping arrangements. Neat house!

Warm and welcoming home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved everything about this home, from its proximity to the resort and easy beach access. The home is well-stocked with everything you need for a fun family gathering. We especially enjoyed all of the comfortable seating and beds. Kitchen is great - would suggest having coffee filters on hand for guests’ first mornings at least since we can’t pre buy those, not knowing the type we’ll need. Other than that we loved everything and will choose this home again. Thanks!

A king size bed would be nice in the master bedroom. Location was very convenient inside the property. The only main issue was a sewer smell coming from the laundry room.

Had it been a little more equipped, it would have been an even better experience. For example, there were just 8 bath towels (one per guest), one kitchen towel, barely enough toilet paper, and only one roll of paper towels. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

Nice place - but my credit card was hacked.

Not sure if my credit card hack was due to Island Reality, but only used for a few transactions in past 2 months. The place was very nice and clean - would recommend

The location of the property was very convenient to the beach access. The house was very comfortable. The only drawback with the house was the common areas did not have blinds or curtains. It was a little more open than we like, especially in the evenings. We had a very good experience with this rental property and look forward to returning in the future.

Great 4 day vacation!

This property was very nice and everything is accurate as the photos show. A few things to take into account with this property is that the beach is probably 1/4 mile away but a very easy walk through the woods to get there but it's not handicap accessible. During the weekdays there were very few people on the beach but it was more crowded on the weekend which is to be expected. The other thing to keep in mind is that you are a good 25 to 30 mits depending on traffic to get into Charleston itself. This was a very secure home as you have to obtain a gate pass just to enter the property and there is a very nice golf course on the backside of the home. We saw deer here everyday from the golf course to the beach! I would recommend this property for a family vacation.

Sandcrab Court

The house was perfect for our family. Very close to beach access, so easy for the three year olds to make the walk. Very clean with lots of room for everyone. The new kitchen renovation looked really nice. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Location, One (pretty big) Issue

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We're very familiar with Wild Dunes, having both owned and rented in the resort. This location for a 3 br/2ba house is amazing. Walk across the backyard to Palm Blvd and about 1/2 block to the beach access path which is a very easy stroll through the dunes to the beach. The house has a lovely florida room which we used to the exclusion of the living room. Beds were comfortable and both linens and kitchen utensils plentiful. Informed housekeeping that the pans had been put away without washing by previous occupants and never noticed by housekeeper. Kitchen and baths seem to be pretty original but clean and in good condition. Our issue presented as we opened the house and were met with a terrible mildew/wet/mold(?) smell. After opening everything up and exploring a bit, we decided the spongy floor in the utility closet must be the culprit and kept that door closed the rest of the stay. This assessment was born out by the spongy bottom in the master bath tub which butts up against the utility area. There must be or, have been in the past, a leak. We definitely hope whatever the issue is, it is resolved as we'd consider this rental for the future if we didn't have to put up with strong odor.
