A vacation home just on the edge of the town of Watkins Glen. Relax on the front porch and enjoy the views of Seneca Lake and the harbor. The home has 3 bedrooms with beds for 6 persons and 1 full bath. The first floor has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with a double sized bed. The second floor has 2 separate areas, one with a queen sized bed and one with a double sized bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster. If you prefer to eat out it is a short walk to town to restaurants and bars. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player, and wireless WIFI.

Highlights of the area include the many wineries around Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen International race track, and many festivals and events that take place throughout the year.

Excellent location so close to all that Watkins Glen has to offer. Sitting on the porch was a highlight- but it can be noisy with the busy road in front. The home had everything we needed. It is like going to your grandma’s house- comfortable but a bit old fashioned.

The house was perfect for our family. The front porch view of the lake was great. We could walk to all the stores and restaurants and of course the harbor. And only a short drive to the wineries. Our second time in Watkins Glen for the Grand Prix festival and it was so fun! We would definitely stay at this house again!!

Great location! Comfy, charming house.

Nice place, lots of original charm. Beds were comfortable, it had everything we needed. Upstairs was very dark and isolated from the rest of the house. Parking was tricky, had to make an awkward u-turn to park out front, but we got the hang of it. Location was great! Could walk to town and wineries close by. We enjoyed it!

Lovely Vacation Home

Our stay was fantastic and Dawn was a fabulous host. She thought of so many little details: cushions for the dining room chairs, throw blankets in the living room, different colored towels for each bedroom. It elevated it from a vacation experience to a home away from home. The view of Seneca Lake from the house was gorgeous and the location. Just out of town was perfect. We didn’t have to go farther than 10 minutes for the race track, state park, food or shopping. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to the Watkins Glen area!

Great location, easy walk to all the shopping, restaurants and boat tours/harbor area of Watkins Glen.One great note: there is W/D in the house which is great but we had not seen that detail ahead of time. So it was a surprise bonus!Minor glitch was that we could not get the Roku stick to work.

We had a great time and my kids are already asking to go back. We loved walking down to the harbor and seeing boats from the front porch. A big memory was watching the 4th of July Fireworks from the backyard! Very cool!

We had a great couple of days. The house is well equipped with everything you need and 100% as described. Beautiful view in Seneca Lake and just a view steps from the harbour and a choice Communication with Dawn was very good at all times.

Lovely views and convient location

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Watkins Glenn. A lovely home with all the amenities. An easy walk to downtown with shops and restraunts. Views of the lake. My favorite was sitting on the porch watching the water. If you like wine, there are many wineries located around the lake. I highly recommend visiting Watkins Glenn and staying at this property.

What a Location

This is our second stay at this location. What a perfect location. Watkins Glen’s downtown is a walk away. Watkin’s Glen State park is blocks away, with its beautiful gorge trail and 19 waterfalls. Wineries are a short drive away around several Finger Lakes, especially Seneca. The house provides every essential. We’d definitely stay again as the area offers so much to see, with its many parks and waterfalls. We really enjoyed the Cardboard boat Regatta in Watkins Glen.

Clean and convenient. Timely and appropriate communication from host. Only reason not 5 stars was morning road noise from traffic and the upstairs bedrooms. We didn't need them, but if we had, I would have been disappointed. They are more an attic with beds than bedrooms. I didn't think that was clearly conveyed in the listing.

Ladies weekend

We loved staying at Dawn’s house. We were a group of 4 adults and each had our own comfortable and private space. We loved having coffee on the porch overlooking the lake, walking to the main street with all its shops and restaurants, and walking to Watkins Glen park. Location is superb, though there is a road between the house and the lake. The gas fireplace was lovely to sit around and couches cozy.

Balloon Fest

We had a great weekend despite it raining on Saturday for the Balloon Fest. Conveniently located close to downtown, easily walkable.. Love all the indoor & outdoor games supplied even though we weren’t able to use cornhole due to the weather. Would absolutely recommend.borecommend

A little piece and tranquility

Dawn is a great host. Her home is immaculate and comes with everything you need to feel at home. Nice quite neighborhood with wonderful view of the lake. We stayed for Nascar at the Glen and couldn't of made a better choice. Looking forward to a return stay someday! - Hurleys

Great short get away

The location of the home was perfect for walking around town and to Watkins Glen State Park! Th drive around the lake was beautiful as was the view from the front porch! The house itself was clean and comfortable and we are definitely thinking about going back next year!

When I was growing up my parents took us to Watkins Glen and we hiked through the gorge. I really enjoyed the waterfalls. Many years later my husband and I came back to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We walked through the gorge and it was as beautiful as I remembered it. After the gorge we stopped at Lakewood Vineyards and had our first ever wine tasting. That was about 15 years ago and we have been coming back ever since. We are always finding something new to do in the area. There are so many festivals and events that there are some we are still trying to find the time to attend.

What we enjoy about the property we have is the location. We are not in the center of town but rather just on the edge of town. We have a lake and harbor view, and are close enough to town to walk to restaurants and town events.
