Welcome to Solitude! A cabin in the woods that was designed to bring the natural world into the comfort of the interior. Located on 3 wooded acres, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Solitude embodies the essence of simple living.

Thanksgiving Get Away

We've been using VRBO for years and this property was HANDS DOWN the nicest we've ever stayed at. It was true to the pics. It was extremely clean and well appointed. The hot tub and fire pit were terrific. The winter mountain view thru the trees was breathtaking. It is the perfect spot for a romantic mountain getaway.

Quick Get Away

We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of our short but relaxing getaway. Everything was as described in the listing, and location was a short drive to hiking, breweries and shops. Would definitely recommend!

True solitude yet close to town!

This is the perfect place if you want true solitude in the mountains yet you'd like to run out for lunch or dinner without driving an hour! Such a peaceful location with mountain views--and going into Luray was a breeze (we highly recommend West Main Deli & Beer Garden . . . the food, drinks & atmosphere were wonderful!). We got into the habit of bringing everything we could think of to VRBOs, and then lost the habit once we realized that so many places were stocked full of needed items (soap, shampoos, condiments, spices for cooking, etc.). For this place, DO bring whatever you think you'll need: soap, shampoo, condiments, cooking spices, etc. Also, bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid if you want to grill. Once you have everything, you might not want to leave!

Nice place to get away!

The property was exactly as described. The place was clean and well maintained. I had a small hag up witht the detectors going off. It was resolved quickly. This was my 1st stay with a vrbo. I was super happy. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Very peaceful and relaxing really enjoyed fires around the fire pit very clean and organized and I have never had a check in so easy everything was so easy never had to contact property manager

Great getaway

Everything about the cabin was great. Cabin was spotless, kitchen was well stocked, nice quiet peaceful location. And lots to do conveniently located in the area. Had a wonderful stay. Will definitely stay here again if we're back in the area.

Cozy and comfortable

This place was perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. We loved the fire pit and hot tub. The kitchen and bathroom appeared recently renovated as well. I would definitely stay there again

Woodside Cabins is family owned and operated. Olga and I have been in the vacation cabin business for 20 years and take great pride in our properties. I grew up in the area and we both have a deep love and appreciation for the Blue Ridge Mountains and our beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
