Come stay in our Charming McKay Park Retreat and experience all Bend has to offer!

Bend and Mount Bachelor are enjoying an amazing winter season with fantastic skiing just minutes away.

McKay Park Retreat is a bright and cheerful 2 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bathroom townhome just steps from the Deschutes River and McKay Park. It is also a short drive or walk to the Mount Bachelor Park and Ride Shuttle service where you can ride worry free up to the mountain and enjoy the slopes. ( Go to Mount Bachelor Shuttle or cadeseasttransit.com for more information on departure times and cost).

This well cared for townhome sleeps 4 comfortably on 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. We offer a fold-out futon and sleeper sofa for families of 5. Both bedrooms are upstairs. For those traveling with a baby, let us know and we will provide a highchair and Pack'n Play

The location of this Townhome is ideal for those wanting to be able to ski, ice skate, enjoy the river, walk or bike ride to the Old Mill for shopping, dining, a movie, or a concert at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater. We supply 4 beach chairs and towels for your ease and enjoyment.

In the summer you can access the river from McKay Park, just steps out the door, where you can put in your flotilla and float the river to Drake Park or stand up paddle board. There is a Shuttle that picks up throughout the day to give you a Ride back home. For those of you skilled in kayaking and surfing you can also access the wave park from this Park as well. Please educate yourself about the waves through Bend Park and Recreation before use.
You can also walk about 5 minutes up the street to the "Pavilion" where you can find ice skating in the winter and in the summer, basketball courts, a small climbing wall and skate park for the kids to enjoy. Check the Bend Parks and Recreation web site for more details.
There is a also a great park for younger kids, 3 minutes down the street at Columbia Park.

This is a great location for ski and boarder enthusiasts! We are minutes from the Shuttle service where you can catch a shuttle to Mount Bachelor. Or, you can drive to the mountain in about 25-45 minutes, weather and traffic permitting. We are only a 15 minute drive from the free Meissner and Wanoga Snow parks for awesome Nordic skiing, tubing and snowmobiling.

Sweet Little home which served us perfectly

really worked well for our needs/purposes—we had one good meal(Bosa?) and a mediocre one, both within walking distance.It’s a nice little neighborhood

A fantastic stay in this quiet, comfortable home

Not a single complaint from start to finish with our stay in this comfortable home. All communications were clear and prompt, and the home was exactly as described and pictured. We were pleased with the overall comfort (furnishings, beds, baths), the kitchen and linens were nicely stocked, the floorplan is efficient and useable, and everything was well-maintained and in good working order. This home is in a quiet neighborhood, but still just a few blocks from shopping and dining. Access to Mt. Bachelor and other key points is straight-forward. We will be staying here again!

Great location

It was the perfect size for out family of 4. We loved being by the river. We would walk down to the rapids and watch everyone as well as let the boys get in the water. we were able to walk to a lot of places including the park and tube and old mill, the amphitheater. The owners were very responsive and quick to reply to messages. being able to park at the garage was super helpful. We would stay here again.

Given the location, which is a block away from a major water park, there wasn’t one boogie board or tube to go enjoy. The master bathroom shower had mold around the edges and the smart tv gave the constant message of not being set up. The last thing was the very dim lighting made it hard to feel comfortable.

Awesome location, well equipped house

We walked to Mill District and along the river. Tube rental a block away for floating the river. River rapids just a block out back. Really nice street; very walkable. Liked the garage access and driveway out back for loading/unloading the car.

Very comfortable. Enjoyed stay, close to resturantes and shopping.

Liked the place very much. Perfect for our tastes and needs. The kitchen could use a large pot for cooking pasta, etc. Also, unless we missed it, there was only one knife other than steak knifes. We used the garage for entry and exit, having a vehicle on garage that was not ours made it inconvenient to squeeze our ski bags between bicycles and truck.. Those are just suggestions for improvements. We Very much enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Great location!!

This townhome is located 1 1/2 blocks from the Deschuttes River and McKay water park and is walking distance to the outdoor ampitheatre. I would highly recommend this rental property.

Can’t get any better than this!

The perfect location in a house that is perfectly provisioned. Walk to get a tube (we brought our own-experienced tubers) and float the river, walked to the amphitheater for Steve Miller, rode the townie bikes to town for dinner, growler phil’s and the veg stand to get great food for the grill. One of us came for the beer. Between the brewfest, close proximity to lots of breweries and Phil’s, we tried them all. Bring/buy a growler. Drink tank is based in Bend. You don’t need a car and you will get the best of Bend from this great little house.

Perfect location. Really nice place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location. Walk to Old Mill district. Easy walk to downtown. You can bike anywhere from here. The townhouse is a great layout and spacious for two couples. Coffee, shampoo, soap and other basics provided. Very comfortable place to hang out. Beds are very comfortable and it was very clean. We will stay here the next time we go to Bend.

Great location!

We spent New Year's in Bend this year and loved the location of this home! One block from the walking trail that takes you up and down the Deschutes River and 30 minute drive to Mt. Bachelor skiing! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for our vacation.

Very nice!

Our family stayed at the impeccable McKay Park retreat, it met our expectations & more!

We've owned a retreat in Big Bear in the past and know how much work it is to have a clean well stocked retreat. We have traveled extensively and know when something has been oversold. This is not the case with the McKay Park retreat, it was everything it was said to be and much more economical and relaxing than renting 2 hotel rooms. We will definitely stay there again and commend Virginia for her cordialness and the owner for assisting with the heater. Kathi, Lea, Lauren & the Joe's from California

Excellent location and beautiful home

The McKay Park Retreat home is in an excellent location for access to the Deschutes River and white water facility as well as the Old Mill District. The house is in immaculate condition and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet and there is a lovely small park just a short walk down the street. Victoria was easily contactable for questions (how to operate the various TV accessories) and overall we were very pleased with our stay. There is a nearby grocery and countless restaurants within walking distance or a short drive.

Wonderful location and property

This was a great location for our ladies ski vacation. It was close to the river, Deschutes Brewery and just a block from the Mt Bachelor Park and Ride. The townhouse was clean, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Just wish it had a larger table for family style meals... no room for food on the table with 4 place settings.

Wonderful Home

We stayed here during a ski vacation and loved it. This home is incredibly cozy and inviting to come home to at the end of a long day. The master bedroom has a huge closet which was great for all of our winter gear. It's in a great location, very close to the Mt. Bachelor shuttle stop but on a quiet street. I will second another reviewer's request for a broom, and would recommend the owner consider mattress pads for the twin beds (they are very firm), but I will absolutely stay here again!

Great location. Managed well. Funny though: we were going to a concert at amphitheater on river, walking distance, very cool. We go to Bend a lot and love it. This was first time we were doing a concert at that venue and were a little wound up about the proper size/type of lawn chairs for general admission and did some research before buying some to take with us. The Tommy Bahama models were a little more than we wanted to pay but are amazing. We came into town with some funky cheap stuff. At the show we noticed 70% of chairs used were the cool TB type. We were so jealous but had a great time anyway. After the show we walked back to condo and figured we'd leave these chairs for the next guy. We decided to put them in the garage, right next to the 4 TB chairs (3 color choices) that were there already for use by condo. We never saw them as we got into town just before show and we're hurrying to get to venue. It was hilarious. Nice place. You'll like it.

Great Location!

This Townhouse is in a great location and a comfortable place to stay. The construction was a bit of a bummer. That is the only reason I cannot give our stay a 5. Getting to the unit was sometimes difficult and the tractors were very loud. Victoria was very accommodating and did her absolute best to help us through it. We would absolutely stay here again after the construction is completed. A TV up stairs would have been nice.
