Direct Ocean Front Home completely remodeled inside and out overlooking spectacular Kahalu’u Bay with views of surfers, dolphins, whales and sunsets. This one of a kind property features two Cottages with separate Master Suites. Amenities include two bathrooms, sun deck, covered Lanai, outdoor shower, private pool, direct ocean access, new furnishings and appliances . Remodel includes indoor /outdoor sound system, 3 big screen TVs and a gated entry system allowing space for 1 vehicle. Located on beautiful Ali'i Drive just 5 miles from downtown Kona and minutes from Keauhou shopping center.

**All guests are required to sign a rental agreement with Knutson & Associates Property Management in addition to purchasing a Damage Protection Plan or providing a Security Deposit if they stay at this property. Inquire within for specific details**

From the minute we walked into this beautiful home, I knew it was going to be a magical plane My two daughters joined my husband and I and the house was perfect for us 4. From waking up with the sun sipping coffee on the lanai, to falling asleep to the crashing waves… our stay was perfect. Tuttle Rock is a private oasis offering peace and tranquility!

55th birthday

What a beautiful location. We spent most mornings watching the sun rise over the southern hill and then watch the surfers. The cottages were perfect for two couples. The home was stocked with everything you could need and then some. The pool was relaxing and clean and you had a view of the surfers and spinner dolphins from the lania. We have stayed on Kona many times at many different places. This is one we would highly recommend to anyone. Almost forgot to mention that stunning sunsets. All interactions with host/property manager were outstanding. Thank you for helping to make my 55th birthday a memorable one.

Heaven on Turtle Tock

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our third time renting the property at Turtle Rock. It is just exquisite. The property literally dangles over the ocean. It is immaculate with every amenity. The waves lull you to sleep and the table on the lanai calls for morning coffee. Unlike many other rentals, this unit is FULLY stocked with all the paper goods you will need - kitchen goods, bathroom supplies and more. The staff at Knutson Real Estate was professional and easy to work with. I could not recommend the unit and the company more!

This place has amazing views and easy access to everywhere we needed to go. It was very close to the street so exiting the driveway during traffic times was a little stressful but not too terribly hard. We visited in November and the weather was perfect. Warm in the day and cool enough at night to sleep comfortably. All the windows really helped keep the place cool. From the listing it was impossible to tell what the pool would be like but it was great. It went from about 3ft deep on the street side to about 5.5ft deep on the ocean side. There was plenty of room for me to do some laps even with 4 of us in there. Wasn’t heated but didn’t need to be. I think the only downside to our whole stay was the 7 cameras. 3 faced directly at the pool, 2 faced mostly away but probably also caught the pool and only 2 did not face toward the pool at all. We very much like our privacy so this was extremely off putting. I understand that people can walk right by the house and that could be a safety issue but we felt that exterior cameras would have been sufficient. We never felt like safety was a risk at this location. Even being right by the street it felt secluded with the high walls and gates. The check in walk through was very quick. I was worried it would take a lot of our time but it did not. I’d give this place a 10 out of 10 if not for the cameras.

Starry, Starry Night

Favorite moments-the astonishingly starry sky easily viewed from the pool deck and all the restful nights we enjoyed listening to the waves crash into the rocks as we slept, take me back! The location was perfect. We made this home our base as we set out on day trips exploring the whole island during our week long stay. Our adventures included Papakolea Green Sand Beach, Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, Manini’owali Beach, Makalewena Beach, Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea, Pu’ukohola Heiau Historical site, Pololu Valley, Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, a guided hiking tour with Hawaii Forest and Trail and a night manta ray snorkel with Anelakai Adventures. Our favorite meals included crepes at Peaberry & Galatte, dinner at Merriman’s (close to Waimea), and lunch and açaí bowls at Aloha Mix Food Truck in Naalehu. We loved the beauty of the island, and the comfort and luxury of Turtle Rock made this vacation a trip of a lifetime.

From the moment you pull into the private drive and hear the sound of waves, you know you have arrived at a special place. Upon entering the main house, the view explodes before you — open seas and waves crashing on black rocks — the scenery of surfers and black sand beaches tucked around tide pools to the south. The main house is graciously appointed with modern amenities in the kitchen and primary suite. Perfect size home for small groups with ample room to stretch-out in the open floorplan. Guesthouse is ideal for a second couple or two kids. And the blue-tiled pool, outdoor shower and inviting decks and patios invite socializing or just quiet contemplation. We love this Kona hideaway. Can’t wait to return to Paradise Found!

EPIC.

Waves splashing all around you, the amazing sounds of crashing waves while sleeping, whale/dolphin/eel/fish watching off your deck, Sonos wireless system, an amazing pool with a fridge full of champagne and bathrooms nearby. We NEVER left Turtle Rock with teh excpetion of refilling the fridge. The other great call we made was to have Chef Krista feed us....she was the BEST! Do yourself a favor when you need some R&R and book this place, Sure, so of the things others note is true, you can hear cars as you are righht on a road but it never bothered us. Yes, most places in Hawaii that aren't fancy smancy resorts don't have air conditioning but that's okay by me. Only tip is the entire island seemed to be closed on New Year's Day when we arrived....just keep that in mind. The property management company was on top of things as well. Kudos to all at Turtle Rock, we look forward to our next trip to this fantastic property.

Go all out and stay here.

This trip was a celebration for our family and it was AWESOME! I've stayed at a few places on Ali'i drive, and none come close to this location. Tucked in the perfect, and I mean perfect, location, we didn't want to leave the house. It's appointed perfectly and well-designed for privacy between the house and the guest bedroom. We surfed right there, snorkeled in the bay, and ran. We always looked forward to our afternoons hanging out at the house and cooling off in the pool. We also encountered a storm while there and it was epic to have a front-row seat! The landlord was very helpful and attentive as well.

Amazing Place

No mistake that this is a great property. Close to town and amazing snorkeling cove is just 100 yards down the road. The property is very well kept and the management team was very helpful. Nice touch of providing some Kona coffee at check in. Feels very private even though it is close to a main road. Note this place does not have air conditioning but during our stay at the end of June we didn’t need it. Honestly if you get hot just jump into your private pool! The pictures are accurate to the views. We enjoyed watching the morning surfers every day. This place was unreal. You won’t be disappointed.

One of the best vacation rentals ever.

Best snorkeling beach short 5 min walk away. Fabulous views off deck, enjoyed watching surfers, and beautiful sunsets. Pool a blessing on humid days and evenings. Excellent location-5 min drive to KTA grocery store and 20 min drive to eaterys and other shopping. Centralized location for exploring the island. Used and enjoyed on-site snorkel and pool accessories. Beautifully maintained grounds and pool, house open and airy, fans a plus, comfortable secure location. Management company (Blake) attentive and responsive. We were well rested and relaxed at the end of our 10 day vacation - would love to return.

Best rental ever!!

This property is absolute perfection! It is spotless, recently updated and feels like living in a giant screened in porch mere feet away from the crashing surf. The outdoor lanai with a private pool and well equipped kitchen assures you never even have to leave! Blake, from the property management company was wonderful arranging early check-in and late check-out. We will never stay anywhere else on the big island.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our recent stay at Turtle Rock was a mixed experience. The property is beautiful and well depicted by the listing photos. Beaches, shopping and restaurants are all close by. It was nice to be able to watch surfers from the lanai. There were, however, some unanticipated inconveniences associated with our stay. The house is wedged between the ocean and a busy street. The noise from both of these make sleeping difficult when the windows are left open to compensate for the lack of air conditioning. The bedroom window coverings allow quite a lot of light in so sleeping late to make up for a restless night wasn’t a real option. The house is not appointed in a manner consistent with its price point. The caliber of the bedding and kitchen equipment were more in line with a nicely equipped student apartment than a luxury rental. Although there were many good things about the house, we felt the drawbacks outweighed the advantages.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Turtle Rock is expensive, but the house can’t be beat! The ocean is steps away, the waves and surf sounds are to die for. The lanai is perfect for coffee, drinks, watching surfers and whale watching! The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is perfect for a refreshing dip. The house is less than a hundred yards to the bay for snorkeling and surfing. It is a quick drive to the mall with a KTA and other shops/restaurants. Blake was a pleasure to deal with and promptly responded to the few questions and inquiries we had. Simply a perfect home base for a Big Island vacation. Mahalo Blake, we had a great time.

Sybaritic Sufside Sojourn

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience of Turtle Rock was somewhat unique because we arrived just in time for a once-in-a-decade weather event, a Kona Low. We didn't see the Sun for the first 5 days and the ocean was pretty riled up which made for great surfing displays. This, combined with the shortest days of the year, made for a rather brisk swimming pool temperature so we didn't use it much. The property and the location however can't be beat. You can literally walk to some of the best snorkeling and surfing in the area. The off-street gated parking is fantastic. The house is extremely well-equipped and extremely comfortable. It is 100% private. The thunderous roar of the sea drowned out any street noise for most of our stormy week. The last couple days were sunny and calm. We saw bright yellow fish at our feet and breaching and spouting humpback whales in the distance. If you're into audio and video, you'll be thrilled by the fantastic Sonos (S2) sound system and multiple large screen TVs. But for the cost, we could have stayed a month!
