South Mission Beach To Bay Retreat

Look no further! This 3 story beach and bayside retreat has it all. Smell the ocean air from the large patio as you sip your morning coffee or evening cocktail. A memorable destination for friends or family that will keep you coming back for more…

This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom delightful property is located in a premier location of South Mission Beach just 2 blocks from the jetty. With so much to offer, you and the guests are located near San Diego’s best beach attractions and activities (Belmont Park, restaurants, volleyball, surfing, sailing, biking and fireworks).

The floorplan is described as follows:

Bottom Floor: There are 2 bedrooms on this level, one with a queen bed and one with a cal-king bed (both Tuft N' Needle). One bedroom has French doors leading to the outside patio. 1 Bathroom connects the bedrooms (Jack and Jill style) and the hallway has an additional closet.

Separately, the 2 car garage is located on the south side of the property which includes laundry facilities and additional storage. For your entertainment, beach equipment and bikes are located in the garage.

Middle Floor: This open and airy level has a living room with expansive picture windows and cathedral ceiling, 75" 4K UHD TV, Cable, Blu-Ray DVD, fireplace, dining room, fully-equipped kitchen and separate powder room. The living room and kitchen is connected with a common balcony that allows for ocean breezes.

Top Floor: The loft-style master suite includes 2 Tuft N' Needle queen beds, a bathroom with 2 sinks, closet, skylight and balcony.

Note: Comic-Con week fills quickly! Please also ask us about our monthly corporate and longer term rentals during the fall, winter and spring seasons.

Great location

Pros: great location with easy walking distance to beach, Belmont Park and restaurants. Well stocked with essentials and beach equipment Cons: Could have been cleaner and needs some updates. Kitchen cabinets need fixed or replaced

Beach House Review

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Location was so convenient and house is very comfortable. Beds are super comfortable and it was very clean. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Family Getaway

Had wonderful time and house had everything we needed and more. Great location and bikes were a plus. Only drawback was parking situation, definitely not getting 2 cars in the garage with all the bicycles in there and good luck finding a parking spot no matter the time of day for a 2nd vehicle.

Best time ever!

We rented Bradley’s beautiful home for my son’s graduation and were pleasantly surprised at how perfect the location was and beautiful the home was. Bikes were definitely a perk that we were so appreciative to have and the bbq and patio was perfect to celebrate with the family. We would absolutely stay again!!

Great Bech Vacay!

House is perfectly located for all beach vacation activities. Right at beach and convenient for any SD attractions. Very clean, plenty of room, updated kitchen, owner was very responsive.

Well-kept place a stone’s throw away from the beach

Lovely place for a girls trip!

The house is as described. We all slept comfortably on the beds. Some things worn down and a little dirty (I can imagine it’s hard to ever fully get the sand out ever) overall we loved the location and had a wonderful stay!

Mission Beach

Thank you for the accommodations! We really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect! We would highly recommend your place to anyone. We typically stay closer to Belmont, but really liked this location due to the beach not being as packed. The walks to Belmont Park were just the right distance to enjoy the sunsets and ocean breeze. Thanks again for making our stay easy and breezy!

Family Staycation

We enjoyed every minute at this home! Very comfortable and clean. So close to the beach and bay. Great outdoor patio for grilling and morning coffee. The beds are so comfy. A big dining room table is perfect for meals and games. We’re a big games family. Bikes, chairs, umbrella’s, boogie boards etc. were all available and we were so grateful they were provided. We grew up in the area and have since moved inland so it was so nice to go to old haunts on the bikes. Sunrise over the bay and sunset over the ocean made for beautiful photos. An altogether delightful beach house, we wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks so much to Bradley for the perfect weekend getaway.

Excellent stay

In the process of moving. We stayed at the beach house for 3 days once we moved out of our home. Location was good, only downside was parking is a challenge. This unit does have a two car garage but you will need to have extremely small cars in order to fit anything in the small garage. Other than parking it was great.

Family-friendly beach house

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Mission Beach! It was a prime location with great beach access. We were not actually here for the beach but rather a great spot in San Diego, and this place was perfect for that, too! Easy drive to Carlsbad and also to downtown San Diego. Great for our large family! Thank you for the hospitality! Parking can be a little tricky. The city was working on the roads during our stay so the garage could not be accessed. Fortunately there was a free lot within a short walking distance. We would definitely return! The host was very helpful and responsive.

Beautiful Home away from Home

We had an amazing time, and staying in a home like this during our vacation made it all the better! The house was clean when we arrived, and had all the necessities we needed! The beds were comfortable, towels were nice, the kitchen supplied all the things we needed. There was more than enough space and we loved spending time on the different outdoor spaces. We loved having access to a garage and washer/dryer, the bikes and beach items provided were great. I will say, we were expecting beach chairs and not camping chairs, so we maybe would have brought our own had we known that- that is just our preference :) Thank you, Brad for being a great and easy to talk to host! We hope to stay again one day!

Great place for a family vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay and felt the home had almost anything and everything we needed. It was great to have the bikes and boogie boards to use and the location was perfect....close to both the bay and the ocean, and there's a small local market just a few blocks away in case you run out of anything. The only thing we could have used was more bath towels (we had brought our own beach towels so it was fine) and the one suggestion that might have made the stay better is if there was a TV in the master bedroom. With the girls upstairs on the 3rd floor (loft) we couldn't watch TV very late. Other than that, it was a fantastic place to stay and would definitely recommend it to friends!

Perfect home away from home!!

We’ve been coming to Mission Beach in San Diego for years and this is by far one of our favorite beach houses!! My husband and I shared the home with our two college-age son’s and it was absolutely perfect! There was plenty of living space for everyone to have their own space and all the amenities you would need to make your stay fantastic!! It was super clean, with plenty of towels, linens, bikes, beach chairs & umbrellas! The cozy fireplace, huge picture windows and French doors opening up to multiple balconies were amazing!! At times it felt like an ocean treehouse!! I especially loved walking just a few minutes to the ocean, the bay or being able to ride our bikes on the boardwalk!! Brad the owner was terrific and always available to answer any questions! We truly look forward to returning to this beach oasis!!

MAGICAL VISIT

This is our second year coming back to this Beachhouse and words will not adequately describe how fantastic it is, but I will try!! The house is beautifully furnished, spotless, large picture windows throughout, two balconies, wonderful patio off first level and set up with everything you could possibly need for it to feel like a home away from home! The beds are comfy, there are plenty of them and lots of separation if you are coming with multiple generations!! The garage is filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, 3 beach cruisers, volleyballs, etc. It’s perfectly situated and is just a few minutes walking to the beach or the bay!! And central to all the wonderful things to do in and around San Diego! My family agrees...this house adds to the magic that is made on our annual trip to Mission Beach!! Huge thank you to Brad for always being wonderful to work with and quick to respond every time!!

For years, we have spent much of our time in South Mission Beach and love every aspect of it. Our home is in one of the best locations on the strip given its proximity to the beach, bay, jetty and many of the local attractions. We have been familiar with this property for years and were ecstatic when it came on the market in Summer 2015. We can't wait to enjoy it with friends, family and last but not least, our guests!
