Pillar Point Harbor and the world famous Mavrick's surf break are located just one half mile away. Explore the unique downtown of Half Moon Bay, check out San Gregorio and Pescadero. We are just 30 minutes to San Francisco! Hike, bike, paddle board, relax and enjoy all that the San Mateo County Coastside has to offer. The apartments are turn key, ready for coastal living. They are ideal for vacations, or longer stays with best pricing by the week or monthly.

Impecable

The property was exactly as described online. I was impressed to see how clean the property is kept. There were even fresh flowers on the table. The beds are very comfortable and linens are of great quality. The home is two blocks from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Very peaceful.

Home Away from Home!

Having lived in Half Moon Bay, we knew exactly the location of Ralph’s place. It could not have been more perfect! We are walkers, and were able to walk everyday.....to the beach, of course, but to Spangler’s the wonderful little market, to the harbor, for wonderful meals meals and wonderful views, to Mavericks’s surf spot. And more! I was a little nervous the place would be “tight” when my family came to visit, but it was absolutely comfortable and suitable. The kitchen is equipped with the necessities. A nice size fridge, microwave and modern stove plus a washer and driver, oh, and a dishwasher, made the stay seamless for preparing meals and feeling right at home. The king bed was So Comfortable. In fact, I want to find where the duvet comes from, so I can get one. We had apt. 1 and had a view of Surfer’s Beach and the sunrise each morning. The bathroom is .....petite, but the shower is nice. We managed just fine. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Ralph was kind enough to allow us to check in early Christmas Day, so we could host dinner that day!! If you’re considering a visit to Half Moon Bay, you couldn’t find a better spot!! Enjoy!

I would recommend this property.

This property was perfect. It was in a great location, had very comfortable beds and we even were able to wash our clothes. Ralph was very attentive to all of our needs and responded quickly when we had a question. It was exactly as advertised and we would stay again. The area could not have been more beautiful! We were so happy that we decided to add this small town to our trip.

Great Option for Half Moon Bay

We actually enjoyed our stay. The bedding was nice and the property was attended to. This is good basic accommodations that worked well for our family while on a San Francisco sight seeing trip. We liked being on the coast away from the city. We felt very safe and enjoyed the peaceful vibe of the coastal community. (the construction across the street did take away from the serenity, but should only be a temporary effect). The Silverware was a little bit like a college dorm, or grab bag from the second hand thrift store. but it did work for us to enjoy our ice cream from the local market. :) When we arrived the dishes had been run in the dishwasher but they were not clean. Probably because there was no dishwashing soap supplied. We had to go buy a supply for our "one time" use of the dishwasher. The place worked for us, but I feel like I paid a bit too much for what we got. perhaps it is market priced, but we observed these few items that caught our attention. I will say, the owner was responsive with our pre trip questions. My text message was promptly return with a helpful reply. we wish them well. with a couple of points of attention we would have given a more positive review.

Lovely place on small coastal town

Great place. Very close to the beach. Litteraly couple of blocks away. E Granada is located for staying in the Bay Area. You're 20 minutes from The City, hour to Santa Cruz and an hour to win country. The apartment was clean with all the comforts from home.

Immaculately clean apartment in a great location.

Apartment only steps from beach. Even an ocean view from living room. Was very clean and well appointed. So handy to have washer and dryer in unit. Beds were very comfortable with high end linens. Half moon bay very interesting town. Was foggy throughout our entire 4 day stay but the town was charming with great restaurants. Fantastic hiking nearby. Highlight of stay was the grey whales very close to shore. Enjoyed coffee and homemade pastries at oceanside coffee shop while watching whales spout and breach. Enjoyed many bowls of chowder, a local favorite, probably due to the cooler dampish climate. Would definitely return!

Fun Place

We loved our little weekend getaway at this beachy rental. Easy to get to Main Street of Half Moon and you can see the beach from the front stoop. Lots of great food for a fun vacation destination and an easy trip from San Fran, although you are so far from city living you don't even feel like you are only 30 minutes outside of SF. We recommend a beer at Hop Dogma which is steps from the unit. Thanks for the hospitality.

Great Place

I recently discovered this rental while planning for a visit from my Auntie. She has lived in San Francisco and did not care about too much city time. This place was PERFECT she was traveling with a friend and this rental was more than we could have asked for! In a quiet neighborhood, it featured 2 bedrooms,living/dining area good sized kitchen with a washer/dryer. El Granada is a cute beach/surfer town with good restaurants, beach access, and a Brewery! It was a perfect "base camp" for their visit and they enjoyed it thoroughly. The owner could not have been nicer and accommodated us on several requests. I highly recommend this vacation rental.

Hidden Gem

El Granada is similar a little Southern California beach town without the crowd. What a hidden gem. The accomadations are in a quiet neighborhood that has everything one would need be it for a weekend or a year. Clean, well kept and tidy. Restaurants, bars and beach life are an easy walk away.

Best value in a great location

Great place for the price, in a beautiful town. Owner was accommodating with our last minute reservations. Rental was roomy and well-equipped, with plenty of towels, blankets, etc. And the unit had a washer/dryer, coffee pot, oven, dishes, etc. Everything you'd need. The only reason I could not give this location 5 stars was for lack of warning regarding the fog horn, which ran pretty much 24 hours a day. Then again, it might be expected of towns like this for more well-traveled folk. Cell reception is spotty, so expect the majority of your interactions with the owner to be via email. But response time was great. I'd stay here again!
