Your group can walk to just about everything, or just sit back and enjoy in this spectacular retreat. Located directly across the street from the beautiful Santa Cruz Wharf, famous Cowells Beach, and the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Visitor's Center. Walk to the world famous Santa Cruz Boardwalk, where you can enjoy mini-golf, rollercoasters, bowling, an arcade and more. Take the summertime trolley offering service to downtown Santa Cruz with a stop outside your front door. Walk to the lighthouse museum at Lighthouse Field or hop on the old fashion locomotive train to Roaring Camp Redwoods. Enjoy 30+ restaurants and shops, rent surfboards, watch the whales and dolphins.

The Santa Cruz Villas team of Derek, Alexandra and Carie live locally and we have a check-in office on site. We are easily accessible.
City ordinance requires quiet hours in exterior spaces after 10pm. No parties or loud gatherings. No music or noise on exterior decks after 10pm please. Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years. Owner will send separate contract for guest's signature.

In addition to the cancellation policy- All Payments are Refundable less the direct costs charged for the cancellation by the credit card processing company of up to 3% until 60 days before reservation, then they become nonrefundable.

Our workiversary party

From booking to messaging after the stay (a celebration card was inadvertently left behind-oops!) we were THRILLED with everything. For a beach stay it couldn't have been better. For a bunch of neat freaks, it couldn't have been better. We spent time at the boardwalk, cooked together, ate together, played games, laughed and cried. I can't imagine how it could have been any better!!! Thank you, thank you!!!

Cowells Beach Getaway

What a wonderful location to celebrate our parent’s 80th birthday! We all loved the proximity to the beach and great walks to the boardwalk and up West Cliff Drive to view Steamer’s lane. There was something to do for everyone in our group from age 19 to age 80! The two kitchens proved very useful in stocking up on food so we could park the cars (big shoutout for parking spots!) and enjoy the beautiful home and beach. Communication was prompt and very helpful. The video tours are awesome- don’t skip the elevator instructions! The stairs are steep and the elevator was great as a dumb waiter for groceries & luggage or for the members in our family with bad knees. Really great place to enjoy Santa Cruz!

Perfect Family Vacation

This property was perfect for our family of 9 adults and 6 young children. We especially loved the proximity to the beach, pier and boardwalk. Derek, Sarah and Alex were extremely responsive to our questions. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent family vacation!

This was our second time staying at this wonderful house! It's so close to everything and we absolutely love the rooftop. We love it here and are so grateful it can accommodate our large family. Hope to do it again in two years.

Wonderful family get away!

When you go on vacation you just want to enjoy your destination. This property had everything you might need in the kitchens and bathrooms. It was so we'll stocked with any amenities you might need. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Our instructions were very thorough and the property management was accessible and helpful when we needed them. We had a wonderful time and this property and the crazy good location made it the best.

Great stay for our friends get together

We booked all three floors and there was plenty of space for a large group. The location was amazing - very close to the beach and morning/evening views were great. One night we had all dinner on the terrace and it was perfect. Property has plenty of steps, but for our group they did not bother us. Elevator is a bit tricky to use, but was useful with luggage. Sarah was super responsive and very helpful. Overall, it worked out great for our friends get together.

The perfect family gathering

This rental was the perfect place for our family scattered thru-out Cali and other state to get together. We rented entire building and our own parking was a life saver. The view and distance to wharf, boardwalk and downtown was amazing for walking. The weather was perfect, we enjoyed everything about our stay. kitchen, rooms, upstairs patios were amazing. So much room, we could all have our own space, yet gather for dinner and fun. Everything was clean and the beds were so comfortable. Management was so helpful and easy to work with. Thank you so much for making our family weekend such a wonderful experience. We would definitely do this again.

Moms 80th birthday celebration

This home was perfect for a family gathering. Clean, beautiful, and plenty of room. It was close to the wharf, boardwalk, and beach. The host was very responsive and helpful.

Family Reunion in Santa Cruz

Overall, this place was great. Location can't be beat. A little noise from the street, but as expected at this location. A couple of detractions. Two nice kitchens but not as well equipped as you might expect for "gourmet" kitchen and meals for a large number of guests. And the tile floors, while they looked clean, were dirty. We all noticed the bottoms of our feet were black just from walking inside. The host could not have been more helpful and accomodating. Service was the best!

Incredible Location for our Cousins Reunion

We booked the entire villa for our first cousins' reunion. That was a great decision. We loved the multiple open spaces for conversation, the location (just a short walk to the Santa Cruz Wharf and Cowell Beach), the rooftop deck with its expansive view, the fully equipped kitchens, the multiple enclosed parking spaces, the information provided in preparation for our visit… it was just the perfect place for the 15 of us to meet.

Perfect home for our gathering

Our gathering was 17 of us….friends who graduated from high school in 1967. We used the whole place. It just couldn’t have been better. Alex was a dream to work with. Everything in the house was perfect! We’re all ready to do it again…before we get too old! ☺️

Great family vacation

We loved this VRBO. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out, loved the roof top for cocktail hour and so much to do in the area! The owners are very responsive and easy to contact. Definitely would recommend.

Superb family reunion

We had an overlapping group of 16 extended family members (not everyone could be there at the same time) ranging in age from 10 to 92. It was immensely successful! The elevator was a godsend for the mobility challenged folks. The location was ideal for the younger folks to go to the beach or the boardwalk or shopping downtown. The museum across the street was worth checking out. The kitchens had no problems accommodating multiple cooks to feed the horde. The rooftop grill and the fire pits upstairs made dining al fresco a delight. We tried our best, but we couldn't test out every single amenity in the house, there were just too many available! Anything we wanted or needed was there. Our only regret was we never managed to ride the train we saw heading up to the mountains each day. Oh well, something to look forward to next year!

Top Notch

Our family couldn't have asked for a better place to have our mom's 90th Birthday celebrations. Derek and Alex were great to work with. When I contacted VRBO, they were also very accommodating. We were provided with quick and friendly customer service. Alex and Derek are top notch. It's a GREAT location. You are walking distance away from stores, restaurants and entertainment. The floor plan with 2 separate residences and kitchens made our stay perfect for the adults, kids, grandkids, great grandkids. The experience for our family was PRICELESS! We are starting to make plans to return again next year.

COUSINPALOOZA

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had an age range of almost 80 year old to 4 year old for our family weekend and this worked out perfectly. We made full use of the well stocked kitchens (we are a family who loves to cook together); set up puzzles, sat on the deck for sunset, wandered the pier and the boardwalk, visited the museum and the beach. The beds were comfy. There was plenty of room to spread out. Lots of seating for meals. Derek and Alex were super communicative and helped with every question that came up. We absolutely would stay again - if we can get everyone in one place again!! Thanks for creating the perfect space for us to create family memories.

Absolutely Amazing!

The home was perfect for our family vacation. There were plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms for all of us. The kitchens were well stocked & there was plenty of room for all the different games, puzzles & visiting. Everything was exactly as pictured & really just perfect. The owner responded quickly when we sent a message ahead of our trip. There were no issues during our stay. The elevator was handy for getting bags to the 3rd & 4th floors. The elevator directions were very clear & we had no issues. We would definitely stay again!

Love this property!

This was a beautiful property located one block of the beach! We had my moms 80th birthday with 20 families members ranging in age from 1-82. Centrally located to the beach, boardwalk, pier and restaurants. It was very easy to communicate with the property manager and owner. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Looks exactly like the photos!

The house is massive! Plenty of space for everyone in our group. The location can't be beat. Quick walk to the beach, pier and boardwalk. Lots of places to eat nearby and a newly opened boba shop next door! The kitchens are well stocked with everything you need.

Exceeded expectations!

Our team of 17 adults rented out the villas for our offsite. It was the perfect space with two awesome living rooms/kitchens and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was great to walk to our evening festivities and the views from the balconies and rooftop were beautiful. The hosts were very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would absolutely stay here with a large group again!

The location puts in you a spot where you never have to get in your car to enjoy all that Santa Cruz has to offer. You could stay a month and not hit every restaurant in walking distance.
