Great place to stay!

This complex is very family friendly and in a great location. The condo was clean and very up to date. Property manager was always available for my questions during the booking and check-in process, and checked in with me again at checkout. I highly recommend this condo and will be booking again in the future!

Family getaway

We decided to take a last minute getaway before school started. The condo was very nice. There was construction happening on our balcony and the exterior of the complex while we were visiting. That was a little disappointing. But everything else was nice. The location is great! Close to lots of great restaurants. Communication with the owner could be better. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would be back.

Nice property, but communication should be improved.

The condo was nice and as described. However, we were very disappointed that it was not told to us the extent of construction that would be going on the week of our stay. Better communication on the front end of booking is suggested.

The View was beautiful

I’ll start by saying the view was on point and the overall experience of staying here turned out to be amazing, we stayed for 11 days, so it’s easy to find things when you stay in a unit for so long! But it’s right off ocean! Place is a little run down, construction is being done so you couldn’t be on balcony to enjoy the view from 8-5 daily. It really looks like the construction they are doing is necessary because overall building is run down. Overall nice place, definitely some much needed maintenance should be accomplished….and bathrooms are older but fine! Place was dirty, bathroom floors gross, master bedroom floors behind or under anything hasn’t been cleaned in I don’t know how long. The cleaning crew really let this owner down! Pillowcases we’re dirty, you can see where they were stained from peoples heads. Sheets were stained, and smelled very musky! Comforters on beds didn’t seemed as if they had ever been washed. Master bath sink and tub drained very, very slowly and light bulb in bedroom was hanging from a thread. I’ve attached pics of items I’m talking about! This place needs a deep, deep, deep, deep clean, maintenance done(sink, electrical, blinds, paint touch-ups, bath tub reface) and new linen throughout! I will end by saying once we cleaned the place and washed the linens, my view of the place changed! I really liked the calm atmosphere of this building! No one was running around trying to make sure every condo rule wasn’t being broken, you didn’t have to wear condo bracelets to identify yourself like most places, everyone was so nice, and very helpful! It has both indoor and outdoor pools and even a kid pool for little ones. I’m telling you the atmosphere of this building was really on point! I will also say the owner did offer to have cleaned and I declined…we already were settled in with our stuff and started to clean and wash! All said and done, a few fixes, the construction being completed outside and a good clean and I would say stay!

Beautiful family vacation ruined with poor customer service.

I would not recommend this property due to poor customer service. The property is in a good location, great beach, and fairly accurately described. The bathrooms were however, very outdated and beds were terribly uncomfortable. Most importantly, there were 3 issues that we alerted the renter of during our stay that were not attended to. Two issues were noticed when we arrived. One happened during our stay. Maintenance never came to attend to any of the issues. However, upon leaving, the renter accused my family of disrespecting the condo during our stay. He also filed insurance to collect money on a hole in the wall that was there when we arrived and alerted him of during our stay. In emails after our stay, the owner failed to fully answer my questions regarding his accusations. He also refused to return my phone call. We have stayed in several condos booked on VRBO, but this has been the worst departing experience we have had.

Property was as described. There were 3 bedrooms, nice updated kitchen, nice size living room and a beautiful view of the ocean. Nice large pool outside and and indoor pool too. Our family had a great time right on the beach!

Summer family vacation

We had a great stay last week. The condo was just as described, well stocked with all the conveniences, and clean! We really enjoy staying at Shoalwater. It’s in a good location and not too crowded. The owner was very nice, communicated well, and made sure everything was taken care of during our stay. I would recommend this condo for your next trip!

This was a clean unit and is in a great spot with an amazing view of the ocean. It is convenient to restaurant’s, shopping, and grocery stores. Bathrooms could use updating, but other than that no complaints.

Great stay at Shoalwater.

Overall great vacation. Condo was very comfortable for 6 adults. Very convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. Pool area and beach access very clean. Property manager very responsive to messages.

Beautiful beach view

Beautiful view of the ocean from the living room and bedroom. We even saw dolphins from our private balcony. The sand is white and so soft. We were close enough to the beach that we heard the waves crashing all night long even with the doors and windows closed. Everyone that we met on the property was very friendly and Rick was very responsive. The building for the indoor pool could have used some updating/maintenance but was still ok. Also, we had a huge hail storm come through and it damaged all the cars (totaled many). The hail caused damage and leaks to indoor pool building but the management company was very fast to get the repairs started and it was up and running the same day.

Excellent!

We booked this condo for Spring Break with the family. It was very nice! Amenities were in great condition as pictured. The check-in process was very smooth. The condo is in a great location (close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc). We were very happy with our choice and would highly recommend for others!

Great place to stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Shoalwater. The condo was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Orange Beach. It also had great views of the ocean. We would love to stay there again!

MY ONLY REGRET IS NOT STAYING LONGER

Loved this unit at Shoalwater!!! Immaculate is a definite understatement! Perfect views, PLENTY of entertainment space, HUGE kitchen/dining/living area! Parking was perfect! Always had somewhere to park and it was only $15 per car for the entire week!(most places in gulf shores and OBA normally charge $5-10 per car PER DAY! Right on the beach! This property has been VERY well taken care of and I appreciate that Rick checked on us during check in and check out and was there to take my call if I needed him(which we only had a question about check in) my only regret is not staying longer! Definitely will be coming back soon!

Spring Break 2020

We made the best of a wild and crazy time with Covid-19 spreading rampet across the US. Condo and beach while open were amazing my family had a wonderful time reconnecting and hanging out in OBA.

Family Getaway

My family had a wonderful stay at Shoalwater! The condo size was perfect for our family of six, and the location and view of the ocean was beautiful and convenient. We will definitely come back on our next Gulf Shores vacation.

Loved this condo!

This was our third time staying in the area and this was by far the nicest condo we’ve rented! The condo was beautiful and we loved the pool area and easy access to the beach. Owner was also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful condo!

This condo is beautifully remodeled, and right on the water. The set up with three bedrooms and bunk beds was perfect for our family. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is plenty of space for your groceries, etc. The location is great being very close to an arcade and mini golf (across the street), Gulf Shores to the west, and 10-15 minutes from shopping at the outlet malls, the OWA amusement park, or the Warf. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores close by. The owner is very responsive.

Very clean! Nice place!

My friends and I rented this condo for a week. We had a great stay and the home owner was very nice and easy to get ahold of. He was very helpful. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home!
