Queen size bed, one bathroom with exquisite glass block enclosed walking shower with beautiful tile work depicting a swimming dolphin with tile floors and granite countertop.
Living room features a queen sleeper sofa with a 52" flat screen TV. Cable is provided as well as Wi-Fi. Kitchen has beautiful cabinetry and granite countertop. Off the kitchen a stackable w/d provided. All bedroom and bathroom linens are provided as well as beach towels. Kitchen completely outfitted.

Wonderful stay

Gorgeous view of ocean sunsets from the lanai. Clean, comfortable unit. Excellent location, ocean breezes keep the unit comfortable. We did not need to use the air conditioner at anytime during our stay.

Great Condo, Location, & View

We loved the updated condo with gorgeous views on both sides! Great balcony for morning coffee or tea. The location was perfect as a homebase for our adventures around the island. We’ll be back for more diving and hope to stay here again!

Fantastic Location!

What a great time my husband and I had at this lovely and well-appointed condo at a beautiful ocean-front property. The grounds and spotlessly kept, and the sunset views from the lanai were outstanding. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit the Big Island!

Nice place, great location, awesome view!

We have stayed at Kona Makai many times and this is probably our favorite condo to stay in thus far. View was great. Sofa bed was actually comfortable for two young teens to sleep on. Two air conditioners is huge when is gets stuffy! Only negative for the inside was the bedroom window was horribly filthy so looking out at the view from that window was a no go. We washed the sliding glass door upon arrival and the floors were questionabley mopped. Not major issues! Overall the place was fantastic and we would absolutely stay here again! The one thing missing for us that we have always had during other stays is beach chairs and coolers. They had a couple there but in real bad shape. I would say bring your own collapsible cooler if you plan to use one. We did leave the boogie boards we purchased for future guests. The host was fantastic to communicate with! We will be back!

Ocean side X2

This is the perfect condo to watch the sunset from your balcony. With ocean views from both the front (bedroom) of the unit and the balcony, it's hard to do anything else but admire. The unit was incredibly clean, fully stocked with everything you might need, walkable to Kona, beautiful landscaping, and easy parking. The unit manager/host, Mo, is very accommodating and is great with communication. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful condo

We have stayed at the Kona Makai many times. All of the units have been excellent, but this one is the best. The view from the lanai is gorgeous and the ocean breeze keeps things cool.

Great location

Easy walk to Kona or marketplace. Condo location has great views of the ocean and sunsets. The ocean waves lull you to sleep and the bird chatter wake you up. Enjoyed watching the life cycles of the monarchs on the butterfly bush.

A wonderful week

The condo met and exceeded our every need in all respects. The location to the ocean (on both sides of the unit) with excellent viewing will provide lasting memories. Hope to enjoy it again in the future.

Recharge before Christmas Rush

This is our 7th time coming to Kona . Our usual condo in another complex was booked . So we were a little nervous switching things up . But we are so glad we did . Amazing condo great location beautiful grounds and super family friendly. Already planning our next stay .

Excellent stay

Loved how homey we felt, it had everything we needed for a family of 4. The view was amazing and it was very clean and organized, would back again. Disliked how rude the neighbors were with my kids but overall we had an amazing stay.

We have stayed at Kona Makai many times over the years and all of the condos have been very nice. This one in particular is our favorite. The view from the lanai is gorgeous.

Tropical Paradise

Absolutely gorgeous condo and surrounding area. Seeing the ocean from the bedroom and going to sleep with the sound of waves crashing was magical. The flowers and their scents around the property only added to the perfection of this place. And the incredibly beautiful shower was a vacation in and of itself! Wonderful location for visiting the highlights of Kona.

Magical Stay in Kona

We loved our stay in Kona! What a beautiful place this was! Perfectly kept grounds. Very quiet! We loved the peace this place brought. Nothing better than sleeping to the waves gently crashing on the rocks outside your window. Everything was perfect! We would love to come back soon!

Great view!

The condo is close to a safeway, walmart and downtown kona. The view on the back porch is just beautiful no matter the time of day! You can catch the sunset from your patio or go down and relax in the chairs or on the rocks. The front also faces the ocean which gives you an even better cross breeze and can hear the waves crashing even better than the back. The property is beautiful with lots of green geckos, plants and trees. I will say the walk from the parking lot to the condo isnt horribly far but isnt very close. So bringing your luggage and groceries from the car up stairs to the 2nd story is a little of a workout. The condo itself has a rather large bedroom and decent size shower . The living room was fine for our family of 4 but there isnt a dining room inside, which for the most part is fine as we ate most our meals on the patio. The kitchen was the perfect size for a 1 bedroom but only fits one butt at a time. My only complaints about the condo is the beach gear needs to be updated. There are only 2 chairs which are on their last leg, a broken umbrella. There were 2 boogie boards that looked fine and flippers. Overally we enjoyed the condo, its location and its view. We would book it again!

Property was beautiful. Listening to the ocean waves watching the sunset from the lanai was a highlight of our visit. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Great option in Kona

This condo in the Kona Makai complex is somewhat small, but makes the most of its space, including having a quality washer and dryer set in a nook in the very-well-stocked kitchen (which itself is pretty sizeable). The queen bed is very comfortable and there are lots of extras in the large bedroom and hallway closets (especially bedding and beach supplies). Sports a very nice bathroom (single) and a comfy living room, plus an excellent lanai that overlooks the ocean and pool area. And there's A/C in the living room and bedroom plus ceiling fans to keep cool The only downsides, for us, a family of four, were that the pull-out sofa-bed was a little uneven and mushy, and the bathroom fan doesn't do much to clear out steam. Overall, though, a great place, and the manager, Mo, was great to work with. Also, a very convenient location on Ali'i Drive.

Best water view

Very clean, well appointed. Everything we needed. We come to Hawaii every year and the view from the veranda was awesome. I will definitely stay here again.
