Historic Home great for families & fisherman - Near Local Shops and Restaurants

Three of the bedrooms are furnished with comfy queen size beds, one bedroom has a California king size bed, and one has a regular king size bed.. One bedroom is furnished with two comfy full size beds and the final bedroom is furnished with two sets bunk beds suitable for both children and adults. Which totals seven bedrooms. This home also has a large living space with two full size couches. There is two twin roll away beds for convenience. This home is roomy enough for a group of 20 to sleep comfortably, and still have room to breath, Yet quaint enough for smaller groups to enjoy its uniqueness as well.

Perfect for large group

Work trip with several ladies they gave us lots of open space and rooms to choose from. The host Stacey was wonderful easy to communicate with and very helpful. This was our second time staying here, and hope to do it again soon.

Wonderful getaway

This place was amazing for our family getaway! It was decorated with such charm and was spacious enough to accommodate with ease our family of 13. It was a short drive to the beach yet the house was within walking distance to ice cream! The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend!!

Great place for large group

The property has plenty of bedrooms and bathroom for a large event. The kitchen is well stocked for keeping you Mr group fed. My group enjoyed the property while in Matagorda.

Fishing ladies

8 ladies who love to fish came and had a wonderful time and caught our limit! The house is perfect location to walk to restaurant, shops and convenience store. We sat outside and visited each evening. Played games as well! Can’t wait to go again! Thank you for sharing your wonderful house! It is just perfect for us!

Great Location, Great House!

Communication was outstanding...Stacey is awesome! There were snacks and toiletries, an ice maker, 2 sets of washer/dryers, porches everywhere...the place is perfect for large groups who want to hang out together or just hang out in their own space. I would definitely book there again.

Matagorda Ladies Fishing Trip

Another great year!

This was our family’s 6th year coming to Brown’s Blessing. We enjoy our time every year! There is space for everyone. It is within a short drive to the beach. There are fun cute shops close by. The kids love getting snowcones just a block away.

Great House in Matagorda

This was our second time staying here with clients for a fishing tournament, and the property is ideal for anglers. The house was very clean, and it's proximity to the harbor made it perfect to catch our charters each morning.

Fantastic property

We went with a large group. The house has plenty of room for everyone. Great open floor plan in the living space for everyone to sit and visit. Beautiful home and will definitely use again!

Matagorda Vacation House

From the time I made my reservation all the way to after check out, Stacey was an excellent host! She was very prompt to answer all of my questions. (There we’re many! LOL) The description of the home was spot on!! I had my 3 girls, their husbands, my grandchildren and our long time family friends with us. There was more than enough room. The kitchen was well equipped with all utensils, pots, pans, bowls, etc… There is everything to love about Stacey’s home!! It was our first time to Matagorda for our family trip. We will definitely return and hope Stacey’s Home will be available!! Of all the beach homes we’ve stayed my Grandchildren said they loved this house the best!!😊😊😊 Thank You again Stacey’s for the perfect place for us to have our family vacation!!

Great for the holidays

This is an excellent place to have for big family gatherings. We really enjoyed the location and all of the amenities. There is a playground right around the corner that the kids loved.

Large home. Great family gathering location.

Located in a small town. Great beach, fishing, boating or just enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Plenty of parking spaces at the house. Porches and outside gathering areas were well used for morning coffee and evening gathering for the family.

We are Archie and Stacey Brown we have four children and eleven grandchildren. We live in a small town in West Texas. Archie grew up in a small town, Tx. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. I moved to Kermit Texas when I was seventeen and a few years later we were the classic story of boy meets girl. We learned a lot about the differences of city life and small town living. We chose to raise our children in a small town. And what a blessing it has been!

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

When Archie and I started going to Matagorda we stayed in the local motels. We found ourselves going quite often so we invested in a fifth wheel and stayed in the marina for quite sometime. We became friends with many good people but the challenge of the fifth wheel was getting our children to come and experience the joy of fishing in Matagorda Bay. There just wasn't enough room for everyone. Archie and I have always talked about living in an historic home so when this one came available we plunged in. This home has far exceeded our imagination.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This home has so many unique benefits but the first one that comes to mind is the screened in porches. The upstairs porch offers a wonderful gulf breeze as well as a bit of live music on Saturday night when the local fire department has benefits.. Archie and I have been know to two step a bit while relaxing on this porch. Even though the music can be heard from the porch it is not heard in the house so it serves as a great spot to unwind. The porch off the dining is a great place for morning coffee, games or a nice breakfast. The front porch is a favorite of mine, because I like to read, and it is just so peaceful. For whatever reason you may use the porches, this one thing is for sure these porches are a gem to this house and you will find great joy in using them. The backyard offers a tree swing, fruit trees that yield the best grapefruits and tangerines I have ever eaten so if there is fruit on the tree when you are there please taste for yourself!
