Le LATINA PALACE est un ancien palais construit en 1749 par Don Antonio Pando y Bringas, premier comte de Villapadierna et ancêtre direct d'un amant de la Rita Hayworth espagnole. Entièrement rénové en 2005, il est situé à l'angle de la rue Magdalena et de la place Tirso de Molina, dans le quartier de LA LATINA. Il s'agit de la partie la plus ancienne de la ville et de l'un des quartiers les plus populaires. Il fait partie du Madrid médiéval et de la Renaissance et constitue sans aucun doute l'un des plus beaux quartiers de la ville. Avec ses nombreuses places, églises, anciens palais et couvents, ce quartier regorge de vie et d’histoire. Vous y trouverez de nombreux cafés, bars et restaurants, ainsi que de nombreuses boutiques et le célèbre Rastro, le plus grand marché en plein air de la ville.

Entouré de tous les types de transports : métro, bus et gare d’Atocha.

Idéalement situé au cœur du centre-ville historique, cet emplacement est parfait pour les escapades touristiques, à quelques pas du Paseo del Arte (musée du Prado, musée Reina Sofía, musée Thyssen-Bornemisza, Caixa-Forum), de la Madrid des Habsbourg (Palais royal, Théâtre royal, jardins de Sabatini), du Rastro de Madrid, de La Latina, de Cava Baja et de Cava Alta, et également à proximité de la gare d’Atocha. Located within walking distance of everything you need: metro, restaurants, museums, etc. Our local contact was awesome arranging airport pickup and drop off, touring the property with us and sending us points of interest. Property is very charming with high ceilings and fully stocked apartment. We brought our 12 yr old granddaughter and we had plenty of room.

Our family had a great stay. Helena was there to meet us when we arrived and assisted with airport transfers. Property was clean and within walking distance of the major sights and activities, as well as many great cafes and restaurants. We really enjoyed our time there.

Great place to stay. We enjoyed 3 weeks here in the middle of Madrid. This location is ideal, walking distance to almost everything. If you need to catch the metro, it is 1 min walk. The host was excellent!

Beautiful place Great location

Checking in was a breeze. The kitchen facilities were as described. We cooked every day and used the washer and dryer. The AC was very good and the temperature was adjustable to our needs. WiFi worked great. We walked to most attractions but also had no trouble getting a taxi or uber. I would stay there admin on my next visit!!

The property is nice, and its location is convenient, being close to the city center. However, the surrounding neighborhood is not considered upscale and appears to be a lower-income area.We noticed some ants in the room during our stay. The beds were a bit small and could be larger for better comfort and the mattresses should be changed as they are not very comfortable and there are tiny cracks in the walls that needs fixing . We also requested a one-hour late checkout, but unfortunately, the host was unable to accommodate our request.If you arrive by taxi, be aware that there is usually no convenient place for the driver to stop and unload luggage. Stopping directly in front of the property blocks the street, and the nearest available parking is some distance away, making luggage drop-off and pick-up less convenient.The carpets would benefit from a thorough wash rather than just vacuuming, as this would improve the overall cleanliness.On the positive side, the host was responsive, helpful, and supportive throughout our stay, and aside from the points mentioned above, everything else was satisfactory.

The best place ever!

This is such an amazing place to stay. The location is perfect and so convenient. You also have a Health food downstairs and so many markets within a small walking distance. There are close Tapas Bars and so much to explore nearby. You are also right by the metro which is so convenient. I can not say enough good about this place. It's such a gem!!

The Marais of Madrid

We had a lovely stay in La Latina. The apartment is comfortable and spacious with two full bathrooms as well as the two bedrooms and large living/dining room. We were near all the major sights and spent many happy hours in tapas restaurants opening onto pedestrian plazas and in the Retiro park which was glorious.

This flat is very centrally located in Madrid, the Tirso de Molina metro stop is steps away. The Plaza de Mayor is a 10min walk, at most. There are restaurants and bars a plenty nearby, as well as, shopping and grocery stores.The flat itself is spacious (by Madrid standards) and comfortable, nice furnishings and well appointed kitchen, everything you need really for an extended stay. For those concerned with the summer heat in Madrid, the air conditioners in this flat are amazing, super cold air!I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Madrid.

Great location for touring sites and sounds of Barcelona

This apartment lent itself fabulously to close proximity for public transportation to and from highlight locations in and around Barcelona.Some of the fabulous touring spots would have to include Montserrat, Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Park Guell,Blvd Los Ramblas and can't forget the beautiful dancing waters of the magic fountain on Plaza Espana on Fridays evenings... We fell in love with Barcelona and this apartment !!

Wonderful!

My family and I stayed at this property for a few days, and it was exactly what we were looking for. We were 4 adults and 2 small children, and we fit comfortably in this spacious apartment. It was clean, and in a great location of the city with easy access to everything you could need and within walking distance to most sites. Owners were very communicative and kind. Would recommend to anyone!

The host never contacted me after check in. She works through two other people who told me if there was something wrong to message her through the app. The second bathroom had so much mold in the shower that my wife couldn't enter the room. The walls are paper thin so i could hear all of the street noises with the windows closed. There are large cracks in the plaster making the overall appeal less than desirable.

One Week Stay in Lavapiés

The apartment is a nice size and, most importantly, it's in a great location. The neighborhood is vibrant with supermarkets, cafés and restaurants nearby - right next to Plaza Tirso de Molina. The central location allowed us to walk everywhere. The apartment is well equipped but needs some TLC. Damaged walls need repair and painting, the bathrooms and kitchen need to be updated, mold needs to be eliminated, and some of the furniture is dirty. There was also a problem with ants in the bathrooms and kitchen. Helena was great during check-in. She reviewed the area map with us, provided recommendations, and scheduled a taxi pick-up for the morning of our departure.

Madrid 2-bedroom Centrally Located!

Carmen was a wonderful host. It was very easy to communicate with her throughout the entire process. The 2 bedroom was perfect for our one week stay In Madrid. Due to the central location we were able to walk to almost all the key sites within 10-15 minutes. A great way to explore the city! There were two major groceries on the same block which made it convenient to get a little food for the stay. The apartment was nicely appointed and the building was quiet. The few full time residents we met were very nice. The elevator was a perfect plus especially with heavy luggage. We would book with Carmen again if we find ourselves in Madrid again.

Wonderful apartment!

Carmen's apartment is beautiful, located a short distance from the Anton Martin subway station and about a ten-minute Uber/taxi ride to Attocha train station. The apartment was clean and comfortable and we felt safe in the building. It was great to be able to kick off our shoes and relax in the spacious living room. Jose and Helena were responsive to our What's App messages and arranged for airport transportation. One thing I would recommend is when you arrive, ask them to explain how to use the washer/dryer. It was a bit confusing figuring it out without a manual, and for us, one in English. Would definitely recommend this property!
