LATINA PALACE is an old palace built in 1749 by Don Antonio Pando and Bringas, first Count of Villapadierna and direct ancestor of a spanish Rita Hayworth's lover. Fully refurnished in 2005 is placed on the corner of Magdalena street with Tirso de Molina square, in the district of LA LATINA. It is the oldest part of city and one of the most popular districts. It takes part of the medieval and Renaissance Madrid and surely is one of the most beautiful areas of the city. With multitude of squares, churches, old palaces and convents is full of life and history. We will find several street coffees, bars and restaurants as well as numerous shops and their famous Rastro, the major outdoor market of the city.

Surrounded by all type of transports: underground, buses and Atocha train station.

Conveniently located in the heart of the historic city center is perfect for tourist breaks, within a walking distance to Paseo del Arte (Prado Museum, Museum Reina Sofía, Museum Thyssen Bornemitza, Caixa-Forum), Madrid of the Austrias (Royal Palace, Royal Theater, Sabatini Gardens), the Rastro of Madrid, La Latina, Cava Baja and Cava Alta, and also close to Atocha train station. Also is possible to walk to the best places to enjoy the kitchen and night of Madrid: Plaza Santa Ana, La Latina, Chueca and Lavapiés.

Great place to stay. We enjoyed 3 weeks here in the middle of Madrid. This location is ideal, walking distance to almost everything. If you need to catch the metro, it is 1 min walk. The host was excellent!

Beautiful place Great location

Checking in was a breeze. The kitchen facilities were as described. We cooked every day and used the washer and dryer. The AC was very good and the temperature was adjustable to our needs. WiFi worked great. We walked to most attractions but also had no trouble getting a taxi or uber. I would stay there admin on my next visit!!

This flat is very centrally located in Madrid, the Tirso de Molina metro stop is steps away. The Plaza de Mayor is a 10min walk, at most. There are restaurants and bars a plenty nearby, as well as, shopping and grocery stores.The flat itself is spacious (by Madrid standards) and comfortable, nice furnishings and well appointed kitchen, everything you need really for an extended stay. For those concerned with the summer heat in Madrid, the air conditioners in this flat are amazing, super cold air!I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Madrid.

The best place ever!

This is such an amazing place to stay. The location is perfect and so convenient. You also have a Health food downstairs and so many markets within a small walking distance. There are close Tapas Bars and so much to explore nearby. You are also right by the metro which is so convenient. I can not say enough good about this place. It's such a gem!!

The Marais of Madrid

We had a lovely stay in La Latina. The apartment is comfortable and spacious with two full bathrooms as well as the two bedrooms and large living/dining room. We were near all the major sights and spent many happy hours in tapas restaurants opening onto pedestrian plazas and in the Retiro park which was glorious.

The host never contacted me after check in. She works through two other people who told me if there was something wrong to message her through the app. The second bathroom had so much mold in the shower that my wife couldn't enter the room. The walls are paper thin so i could hear all of the street noises with the windows closed. There are large cracks in the plaster making the overall appeal less than desirable.

Great location for touring sites and sounds of Barcelona

This apartment lent itself fabulously to close proximity for public transportation to and from highlight locations in and around Barcelona.Some of the fabulous touring spots would have to include Montserrat, Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Park Guell,Blvd Los Ramblas and can't forget the beautiful dancing waters of the magic fountain on Plaza Espana on Fridays evenings... We fell in love with Barcelona and this apartment !!

Wonderful!

My family and I stayed at this property for a few days, and it was exactly what we were looking for. We were 4 adults and 2 small children, and we fit comfortably in this spacious apartment. It was clean, and in a great location of the city with easy access to everything you could need and within walking distance to most sites. Owners were very communicative and kind. Would recommend to anyone!

One Week Stay in Lavapiés

The apartment is a nice size and, most importantly, it's in a great location. The neighborhood is vibrant with supermarkets, cafés and restaurants nearby - right next to Plaza Tirso de Molina. The central location allowed us to walk everywhere. The apartment is well equipped but needs some TLC. Damaged walls need repair and painting, the bathrooms and kitchen need to be updated, mold needs to be eliminated, and some of the furniture is dirty. There was also a problem with ants in the bathrooms and kitchen. Helena was great during check-in. She reviewed the area map with us, provided recommendations, and scheduled a taxi pick-up for the morning of our departure.

Madrid 2-bedroom Centrally Located!

Carmen was a wonderful host. It was very easy to communicate with her throughout the entire process. The 2 bedroom was perfect for our one week stay In Madrid. Due to the central location we were able to walk to almost all the key sites within 10-15 minutes. A great way to explore the city! There were two major groceries on the same block which made it convenient to get a little food for the stay. The apartment was nicely appointed and the building was quiet. The few full time residents we met were very nice. The elevator was a perfect plus especially with heavy luggage. We would book with Carmen again if we find ourselves in Madrid again.

Wonderful apartment!

Carmen's apartment is beautiful, located a short distance from the Anton Martin subway station and about a ten-minute Uber/taxi ride to Attocha train station. The apartment was clean and comfortable and we felt safe in the building. It was great to be able to kick off our shoes and relax in the spacious living room. Jose and Helena were responsive to our What's App messages and arranged for airport transportation. One thing I would recommend is when you arrive, ask them to explain how to use the washer/dryer. It was a bit confusing figuring it out without a manual, and for us, one in English. Would definitely recommend this property!

Good location for exploring Madrid

The apartment was plenty roomy for two couples, with comfortable beds and furniture. Both bathrooms and the kitchen were well-equiped, and everything (didn't use the dishwasher, though) worked well. The location is very central in Madrid, and it was easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Also close to Atocha train station for more distant travel destinations. There is a metro stop one minute from the front door as well. Lots of restaurants within a 10-minute walk (the Moroccan one practically below the apartment is very good). Madrid is a very active city, so the street noise was noticable even on the 3rd floor, but it was not bothersome. We had an issue with a leaky radiator during the stay, but communication with the management person and with the owner were very prompt, and the owner was there within an hour or two--on a Sunday morning--to fix it. Much appreciated. Overall, no complaints at all, and definitely recommended.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Appartement très fonctionnel et très bien situé à 50 m du métro que nous avons peu utilisé car l'appartement est à moins d'un kilomètre des principaux centres d'intérêts de Madrid. Quartier très vivant avec tous les commerçants utiles. Accueil très "professionnel" Donc un séjour très bon.
