Experience the feel of old New Orleans charm without sparing any modern amenities. Walk to Esplanade Ave. and City Park in minutes from this recently renovated 1890s shotgun home. Only a few blocks to the Fair Grounds or to Bayou St. John, as well. This residential area thrives with neighborhood bars, restaurants, and cafes, as is very typical of historic neighborhoods here in town. The close proximity to the French Quarter and Frenchmen St. is an added perk of Mid-City/Faubourg St. John.

I bought this home ten years ago in my favorite neighborhood, a few blocks from my childhood home. A full interior renovation followed in which attention was put on several custom details that you'll find throughout the house.
The home has two private bedrooms and a sofa that converts to a bed in the living room. Pocket doors between the living and dining rooms make the sofa bed semi-private.
Rooms in the home include front porch and front door; living room (w sofa bed), dining room (table for 6); fully-equipped owner's kitchen; hall bathroom with shower, clawfoot tub, and front-loading laundry; and two bedrooms, one with a private bathroom. Sound system includes radio, 1/8" cable to play your own device, and a turntable. Speakers are run throughout the home, including bathroom and shower. As a landmark, my home is 2 blocks from Pal's Lounge.
This is outfitted like a home, not a typical short term rental, so you will enjoy all the amenities that a resident needs and loves. The kitchen is fully outfitted, and you are welcome to use basic cooking ingredients like oil and butter, condiments in the pantry or fridge, and coffee that I'll have on hand for you.
Enjoy a dinner party and drinks on the porch.
