Creinch August 2026

We have been holidaying with Auchenheglish lodges for nearly 30 years now (stayed in several) and we will never tire of the views. Absolutely stunning even on the darkest/wettest days. Liz is a pleasure to deal with and nothing is too much trouble, always helpful and friendly. This was a weeks stay in the Creinch for our 25th wedding anniversary and did not disappoint. We have stayed previously, however not since it’s had a refurb. It’s a gorgeous lodge, everything has been thought out carefully and decorated to the highest standard. Our only problem is, when will we book next!!

Another great stay, we have been coming to the lodges for every year for 18 years , the setting is fantastic , service is always good lodges are exceptional standard , on the water on our paddle boards , great location for exploring , we are now booking for next year just to make sure we get in. The lodges are always clean and Liz is very helpful.

Luxury is the word!

When estate agents take photos of properties they are selling or renting out, they use a fish-eye lens to make the rooms look bigger. When I saw the photos of Creinch Lodge on the website, I thought it looked OK. However, when we arrived at the lodge, we were extremely impressed at the size, quality and luxuriousness of it. It has all the latest mod-cons and everything is in great condition. The view is as good as you will get anywhere in the world and just sitting having dinner with the mountain you climbed earlier in the day in view is quite exhilarating. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. It's a must do experience at least twice a year.

Only comment is the decking area needs some attention. Cant be easy with all the trees. Was untidy and looking like it needed maintenance.

A most relaxing holiday!

What an amazing location, right on the edge of the loch. The outside of the cottage is traditional, but inside it's bright and spacious with modern fittings and furniture. All the rooms were lovely, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the living space was comfortable and made the most of that incredible view. The bedroom had a large, comfortable bed and patio doors opening onto a balcony overlooking the loch, while the en suite had an amazing shower. But it was the position right by the water that really made this place for me. The two sets of large patio doors at the front could be opened so that you felt almost as though you were floating on the loch. It genuinely felt like being in a boat. There was also a patio with seating overlooking the water. I went there on my own for peace and quiet, and I actually didn't go anywhere during my stay. I simply relaxed and enjoyed the view, which was spectacular with the lapping water just outside, the boats and birds crossing the water, and the constantly changing view of the mountains on the other side of the loch. There was a lovely welcome pack and everything I needed was provided. The owner was very helpful and communication was straightforward throughout. I absolutely loved my stay and will definitely be going back. In fact, I've already been looking at which dates are available!

Simply the best for couples

Beautiful appointed cottage. Sheer delight. Wonderfully maintained. Liz and the service team professional and so friendly. The location is simply heaven. Nothing can beat a few days right on Loch Lomond with all the cottages spread out. Private. Gorgeous, well stocked. Have I mentioned idyllic yet? . Not cheap but worth every pound.

Beautiful lodge in a beautiful location

Superb property that couldn’t be closer to the water’s edge. Excellent quality lodge that was really comfortable to spend a long weekend in. Only suggested improvement would be an easier handle on the fridge door - very difficult to open and I’ve got full mobility, but anyone with a hand issue would really struggle to open it. Will definitely be back when we get the chance. Sitting by the water was priceless despite the weather :)

Lovely lodge in a stunning location

We stayed here over a long weekend as our friends were getting married at The Cruin. The lodge was perfectly located for that event, just a few minutes walk away. Inside, the lodge was clean, spacious and light. The sofa, chairs and bed were all very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. Having the downstairs loo in addition to the upstairs bathroom is a nice bonus too, and the water pressure and water temp were excellent. But what really sets this place apart is the location. Literally right on the banks of Loch Lomond, the views from both floors are incredible. I couldn't count how much time we spent just gazing out at the loch, watching boats and birds go past, seeing the light change... we couldn't believe how lucky we were. This is somewhere we will definitely be returning to!

An Excellent Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Creinch Lodge. The views were absolutely stunning, and the peaceful setting made it even more special. The location was excellent, with a short walk to Duck Bay Restaurant and just a quick drive to some beautiful walking spots. We would highly recommend it!

Perfect stay at Creinch

We really did have the perfect stay in the Creinch Lodge. We had zero issues whatsoever and communication in the lead up to the stay was good. The lodge was beautiful. Great space, super clean - we were there Friday to Monday and it simply wasn’t long enough. Can’t wait to visit again.

When you step into Creich Lodge it’s an immediate “wow”! The lodge is beautiful and the views are incredible. Such a comfortable place to stay with everything you could possibly need. If you want peace, quiet and tranquility, then this is the spot for you.

What a wonderful place to relax. Beautiful lodge, couldn’t be nearer to the Loch and lodge was super clean and welcoming. Customer service was excellent from booking, arrival and departure. If you are after a peaceful, relaxing stay with fabulous views, then Creinch lodge is a perfect choice. I would highly recommend and hopefully will be back again in the future.

Amazing location set on the Loch with a great view. The apartment is large, well maintained and clean throughout. The welcome park is more than adequate for a short stay and there are all the basics you need to stay here. I would ask the owner to leave instructions to the heating system and the electric hob as if you are not familiar with theses specific systems you may struggle to work them out and get them going. That aside, I will definitely be returning here in 2026.

Amazing location, super clean, will definitely be back. Loved it!

We stayed here for three nights in August, and this was our first visit, but certainly won’t be our last. From the moment we arrived, we were incredibly impressed with the lodge. It was exceptionally clean and, without a doubt, one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed away from home. We holiday a good few times a year, so this is a real compliment to the housekeeping team. Everything was immaculate. The location is fantastic, with beautiful views directly over the loch. We particularly loved the huge windows overlooking the water and could have spent hours simply watching the boats and ducks go by while enjoying a few drinks. The lodge is also within easy walking distance of two restaurants, which was very convenient, and we ate out on two of the evenings. That said, the lodge is equipped with everything you need if you prefer to stay in and cook your own meals. The thoughtful extras really made a difference, including dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and a lovely welcome pack with bread, milk and other essentials to get you started, as well as a bottle of Prosecco. The only feedback I would give is that their was no shower gel or shampoo in the shower which would’ve been nice, especially when I didn’t bring any, but theirs shops within easy driving distance to get anything you forget. Despite there being other detached properties nearby, the lodge felt incredibly private and peaceful. We barely saw anyone during our stay, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Liz, the host, was also fantastic. She was friendly, responsive and extremely helpful throughout our booking. We were able to extend our stay by an additional night just a few days before arrival, as the lodge was available, and we were so pleased that we did. This is probably the best lodge we have stayed in, and we are already looking forward to returning, hopefully next year. If we could give it six stars, we absolutely would. We loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful and exceptionally well maintained place to stay.
