10 minutes à pied de Holt - une belle maison avec parking et jardin privé avec pelouse

Railway Cottage est un cottage victorien en terrasses magnifiquement rénové, à dix minutes à pied du centre animé de Holt dans un sens et à quinze minutes à pied de la gare de Poppy Line dans l'autre.

Gardant des sacs de caractère avec des peintures Farrow and Ball, des planchers en bois dépouillés, des canapés moelleux et de grands lits confortables, Railway Cottage est la base idéale pour des vacances en famille à la découverte de la côte nord du Norfolk.

La propriété peut accueillir un total de huit personnes, dont six dans la maison principale (deux doubles et une chambre à deux lits) et deux autres dans la `` Plate-forme 2 '' - l'annexe sur la cour à l'arrière de la maison et en fait un lavoir converti!

Le jardin se trouve à la principale au-delà de l'annexe et a une belle sensation isolée, plutôt «secrète» (ou du moins plusieurs enfants me l'ont dit!). Il y a plusieurs endroits pour s'asseoir et profiter du jardin - prendre le café du matin sur la terrasse derrière l'annexe, allumer un barbecue dans la cour entre la cuisine et l'annexe, ou se prélasser sur les chaises longues sur la pelouse. Chaises longues, boules et balançoire tous logés dans la remise.

Les repas en famille peuvent être dégustés autour de la grande table de la cuisine ou à l'extérieur dans la cour. Des soirées plus fraîches et des nuits d'hiver peuvent être passées recroquevillées près du feu avec des jeux de société ou la télévision dans le salon.

This really was such a beautiful and homely place to stay, couldn't have asked for better, with comfortable beds, plenty of living space with 2 lounges in the house, 2 bathrooms upstairs, and the annexe was perfect for the additional private space for my dad. We were 2 adults and 3 children in the main house. The garden was gorgeous with all the lawned area and outside seating for eating meals outside. A short walk into Holt and situated in a quiet area. Sheringham is close which we really enjoyed.

Family holiday

We enjoyed our stay in this well equipped property. It was comfortable and spacious with a nice garden and pleasant outdoor seating to enoy a BBQ although the weather did not permit that to happen. We would happily stay there again.

Fantastic property

A return visit for our family of seven, and it was just as wonderful the second time! This time the weather was kind and we were able to use the beautiful garden and outdoor seating, as well as enjoying all the space inside the cottage.

Big enough for the whole family!

We had a wonderful time at Jon's cottage in Holt. The property was close enough to walk to town but not in the hustle and bustle and as such was quiet and relaxing. The open plan kitchen/diner/lounge was perfect to host our whole family. My 5-year-old niece enjoyed ALL of the toys available, and the secret garden was quite the hit! Thank you Jon!

The cottage was very clean and well equipped.The garden and provision of a working barbecue was disappointing. The garden seemingly had not been touched this year and was therefore not useable and the barbecue v small and buried in the back of the overgrown garden. The pots in the courtyard were dead and full of box hedge caterpillars.Would also have liked more than one front door key as key box was difficult to open - perhaps not helped by the overgrown hedge!

Lovely cosy property, dressed for Christmas

This is a super property, very cosy and warm, with Aga, log burner and an open fire. The annex being great option for our daughter to have her own space with sofa and TV. The beds were really comfortable and the cottage very well equipped. Just a short walk into Holt with plenty of restaurants and shops mean everything you need is just on the doorstep. A lovely touch were the tasteful Christmas decorations and the bottle of fizz to welcome us. Jon had set the heating so it was nice and warm for our arrival. I would definitely recommend this wonderful cottage and just wished we could have stayed longer!

We absolutely loved staying here. It was beautiful and so comfortable. My daughter was thrilled to find all the toys in the twin room and she loved the ‘secret’ garden.

Lovely house

Railway Cottage is a lovely house. It's well equipped, beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished and wonderfully warm! The house is also in a perfect location, just ten minutes walk from the centre of Holt and with easy access to the coast. Highly recommended!

Railway Cottage was wonderful

We had an amazing time very homely especially with the aga always lovely and warm … the annexe was such a handy place for our friends to stay in with their dog they absolutely loved it .. short walk to Holt and The Pigs restaurant up the road which was lovely as we celebrated two birthdays that weekend used Holt Taxis who were on time both ways and very efficient .. Holt Country Park was a delight to walk round and Holkham Hall and Beach a must to go too. Thank you Jon for all you did for us to make our weekend stay the best you are a star hopefully we will be back .. the icing on the cake was a visit to see the Thursford Christmas Spectacular which was amazing take care x

Lovely house for a relaxing long weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Railway cottage. The separate annex was perfect for my parents and gave them their own space. The selection of toys on the upstairs rooms was fantastic, our boys played with them all weekend. We also really appreciated the sturdy stair gate. Generally the house was beautifully clean and very well equipped. It also had the best example of a welcome book that I have ever seen. The owner, Jon, was always very quick to respond to the few questions I had and was happy to have a cot set up for us. We would all happily stay again - and probably will.
