Fantastic spot for relaxing and visiting Plymouth. Public transport bus route very close was really great for exploring. The cottage was lovely along with the welcome and all communication with Elaine. Would recommend.

This is an ideal property for that weekend getaway. Great amenities, spotlessly clean. Communication was excellent, which was vital as we were travelling through Europe before we arrived UK. I would highly recommend both Elaine and the property. Made our stay most enjoyable.

We stayed at Brunel's Boathouse while attending a wedding across the River in Saltash. The apartment is perfect for short stays - really well laid out, equipped with just the right amount of everything for two people. It was spotlessly clean. The bed is very comfy and it has a decent shower.We loved sitting on the sofa looking out across the water on the Friday evening - the views are lovely. Communication ahead of our stay was excellent - Elaine got in touch with all the relevant info and was on hand to answer questions. The owners also popped out on arrival to say hello and give us tips on how best to park.All in all we had a lovely stay and would wholeheartedly recommend the boathouse to others looking for a short stay in the area.

Beautiful view over the boats. All the facilities a traveller could want including parking at the door. Gracious hosts and a very comfortable apartment. Easy to drive to surrounding towns/areas without driving near the city. Would not recommend for anyone who has a problem climbing quite steep stairs.

Great Property

Stayed whilst travelling for work, allowed my little dog to accompany me, accommodation is great, cosy and the views are stunning, balcony is an added bonus, loved sitting in the evening with my glass of wine :-)

Great Location

It is central to all amenities. The Ferry Inn is very friendly and did great gin & tonic fish and chips on Friday. Great for dogs as has a little memorial park to walk them 2mins away. Close to Dartmoor and ponies and lovely pub The Boot Inn in Clearbrook.

The property was warm and welcoming with a great view of the Tamar river and bridges. It is an ideal location for exploring Devon and Cornwall. We had a great time staying there. The electric car charger was very handy. Elaine the host was very helpful and her communication was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family.

Cute location

We had a lovely time, Elaine and her husband were very welcoming. The accommodation had everything you needed. We sat and watched the boats go by from the balcony. Walked to the local pub which was very nice and over the bridge to meet some friends. Cute location good value for money.

Excellent Ocean City Base

The perfect base for our week in Plymouth. Elaine was easy to contact and provided all the information we needed. The cottage was very well equipped and had a lovely view of the River Tamar. The attention to detail and the little extras were great. We would definitely stay here again if we needed accommodation in Plymouth.

What can I say it was perfect I checked in late on Saturday one small thing wrong but owner sorted it out straight away very good views of the river with a lot going on small cafe near by for breakfast very good I will Go again next year

Small but perfectly formed

Elaine is a great host. Accommodation was immaculately clean, had lovely views and is full of light. We had a great stay. The bedroom in the eaves does have restricted height.

Short stay in Plymouth

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Boathouse. This property is nestled under two bridges joining Devon and Cornwall. The view was fantastic. We had a lovely stroll over the Tamar Bridge to Saltash and had a glorious view of the Tamar River and Brunel Railway Bridge.

Brunel bridge review

Great stay. Lovely little touches left by the host e.g milk, croissants etc. Really nice Boathouse and nice and clean. Ideal location for visiting Cornwall as just over the bridge. Lovely views. Not far from pub if you fancy a quick pint. Totally recommend. Stayed for four nights and was perfect. Definitely be back.

Brunel Boathouse

Stayed here to be near to my son. Was suitably located and clean on arrival. Lovely, cosy and homely and Elaine was very helpful up to and including our stay. Unique location

Small but perfectly formed cottage in a wonderfully unique location directly under Brunel’s iconic railway bridge and adjacent to the River Tamar. Good facilities in the cottage but little clothes hanging space. Very comfortable sitting room with lovely view of the river and its sail boats.
