Great Costa Rican Experience

We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica thanks to Tim's Casa Zoost at Playa Hermosa. Large spacious home with private pool , swim up bar, and beach a short 3-5 minute walk away. Conveniently located near restaurants, Jaco and excursions. Highly recommend this property and owner. Tim is very informative and accomodating.

Outstanding trip to Costa Rica

The house was great, close to restaurants and activities. Tom was a great host. Excellent communications. His property manager Marco is outstanding. Tim had several suggestions for family activities we took advantage of. The onsite pool had a lot of use by our family. Great location, great food, activities and a stellar host. Thank you!

Amazing stay…highly recommend!!

I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The house is exactly as described and pictured. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was wonderful with an awesome pool and the food at the pool bar was so good!! Also if you need a shuttle, ask for Eddie’s contact info. He is the best! Very accommodating, even took us to get groceries and have us some great places to check out. We know exactly where to stay when we come back!!

Fun & Sun

A lovely property, lots of room, very short walk to the pool and pool bar/restaurant which was excellent and just a few more steps to the ocean. Tim gave us a list of activities not to miss and all the ones we tried were fabulous. He and the property manager made our trip stress free by arranging transportation for our excursions and to/from the airport. Property manager also bought groceries we requested for our arrival. You can’t go wrong with this property.

Thank you for your great review. Planning and taking a vacation particularly out of country always takes a lot of time and often involves various levels of stress. On our end we try to make it as stress free as possible by recommending and or using known dependable venues and tourist operators. Amazing family time

We had a great time as a family renting this property. The house was clean and well kept and the owner did a great job at communicating with us and making us feel like an extended part of his family. We really enjoyed the close access that this property has to the beach and the community pool where you can buy simple meals and drinks at the swim up bar. The sunsets at the beach were fantastic every night and the property is only 10 minutes from Jaco which is a big town with everything you could want. The owner, Tim gave us lots of suggestions on restaurants and activities and they were all great. We plan to return to take advantage of more of them as our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer than 5 nights!

Dave and family were great guests. As Dave noted , the only shortfall was not enough time. That’s a frequent comment as there is so much to do here. Most everything is within minutes or drives within an hour to dozens of attractions , adventures and countless restaurants. Dave and I always had quick easy communication when needed. We hope you return again . Best to all and safe travels in the future.

Overall great experience and awesome host

Owner was very responsive and provided plenty of local recommendations. Check in process was a breeze as well as checkout. Would totally stay here again. The only negative was the default picture showing the beach/ocean view from third floor terrace. That view was something we where all looking forward to but was blocked by trees that have now grown 10-20 feet above completely obstruction the ocean view. The property still is a great place but I was quite disappointed about the missleading views from the home.

Hi Ronnie, Thank you for your kind review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at our home in Hermosa Palms . We try very hard to keep the home very comfortable for our quests and keep checkin simple. Yes you are correct the trees are now blocking our ocean view. Usually we thin them every two or three years but due to covid I have only recently been there once in 26 months to attend to the house. Time ran out replacing the roof and other repairs and they simply didn’t get thinned and cut back while I was there to supervise. My apologies. I trust you will return again soon Best regards Tim

Gorgeous home, extremely comfortable and modern, gorgeous details in every design aspect.

A two minute walk to the beach and nice garden views. Secure well kept neighborhood of friendly surfers. Comfortable beds, large bathrooms fully equipped kitchen. Catching world class waves right out back, no need to travel or rack your boards. You can’t see the beach from the house but it’s only 100 feet to the beach trail, which is landscaped to perfection. The black sand beach full of shells and driftwood was amazing. Hermosa Palms is a first class neighborhood development. Every worked was super friendly and happy. They have drinking water from the sink so we could fill all our water bottles daily. They had hundreds of channels on the tv and a good stereo. We hired Dixie a local surf photographer and she took 700 amazing pictures. The vibe of the development is super chill and the house itself is a palace.

Hermosa Palms

Wow what a great vacation. Tim is an excellent host and would stay at his home again. Tim's communication is very responsive and his ideas of what to do when in the area are spot on. Palms at Playa Hermosa Beach Club was so much fun. Yes, it is not exactly on the beach, but it is close enough. The pool and Yoyo's is very fun. The beach is 100ft away. Tim's house is beautiful and well maintained. There was plenty of space for us (family of 4 adults) plus some. The kitchen is well stocked, the laundry is right off the kitchen if you need it. The beds are super comfortable, the outdoor shower was the best part of the house. We met some of the neighbors at the pool and they are very nice as well. Jaco is 10 min and Manuel Antonio is about 1.5 hours and very easy drive. Overall, I would definitely rent Tim's house again.

Piscine commune merveilleuse

Nous avons passé un séjour confortable dans cette propriété. Nous avons particulièrement aimé la piscine et le bar qui servait d’excellents repas le midi. La plage est très belle mais pas propice à la baignade puisque les vagues sont très fortes. Il est facile de se rendre à Jaco malgré la route très cahoteuse pour les quelques kms près de la maison. La terrasse sur le toit n’est pas très invitante dû au bruit de la climatisation. Sinon, la deuxieme terrasse ne nous a pas non plus porté à y passer du temps avec ses chaises inconfortables et un décor qui manque d’âme. L’intérieur aurait aussi besoin d’être repeint et le décor rafraichi. Mais le tout est confortable et amplement grand pour le groupe de 7 personnes que nous étions. Quelques informations sur les excursions possibles sont partagées mais ne sont pas à jour. Nous avons fait l’excusion dans les mangroves pour voir des singes « Rafa tour » qui était extraordinaire.

Graduation trip

Our family of 7 had a wonderful time for our daughter’s high school graduation trip. We loved Tim’s house and the proximity to surfing, which was the main purpose of our trip. One of the main reasons we chose this house was how helpful Tim was. He was a wealth of information for all the questions I had. The neighborhood is very nice. I will say the road leading to the neighborhood was rough and full of potholes, but we managed it in our minivan! We never saw the monkey but the beach here is really beautiful!

Perfect place to vacation

This was a perfect place to vacation. Tim was a great host and was always available to assist me. The location is perfect. The house is spacious and wonderfully decorated. I will be staying there again.

Perfect Place to Stay

Tim’s house was perfection as was the property! Tim provided a ton of very useful information that made it easy to navigate to the house and around the area! The house was stocked with everything you could ever need. The pool area was awesome and YoYos food and bar drinks were incredible!!! We are definitely staying here again!!

Fantastic!

Great property. Really relaxing. Easy access to pool and beach. Great nearby amenities and activities. Nice to be near Jaco but not IN it. House is beautiful, comfortable, clean and well equipped. You can tell Tim visits often. We were two families each with one child. 7yo and 9yo. Kids loved it. Tim was a great communicator and had wonderful ideas of things to do and see. Marco, the property manager, was readily available and super helpful. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back!

Incredible house and awesome management.

Everything about our experience was fantastic. There are only two things I want to mention. The blinds don’t slide, they are operated by a mechanism on the side. We didn’t know this , tried to pull them open and popped out one of the clips. Just would’ve been good to know. Also, the air conditioning is supposed to be kept at 81 in the upstairs. It’s a bit warm during the summer. Other than that, the location is incredible. The house is beautiful. The monkey, Poncho, (whose name we augmented to Poncho Reynoldo Donatello Van Zoost) is curious and loves to hang out. We were even able to summon him pretty reliable with a few oral click sounds. The community pool is really nice, and the food/drinks at the swim up bar are top notch. We really hope to stay again here soon.

Family reunion 2019

The house was clean and any questions or concerns were addressed promptly by the owner and property manager. Highly recommended and we would definitely consider renting again in the future. The community pool + club is a welcome addition and all the neighbours were very friendly and welcoming.

Perfect!

Tim was always very responsive to all my questions. The house was amazing. We had everything we needed for our stay. The pool and restaurant attached to it were absolutely incredible. Marco was very responsive to all my texts and was very helpful showing us around the house when we first got there. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I wish I would have booked it for longer than I did.

The house was clean, good location for different activities. The waves are a bit strong, but it’s only 15 mins to Herradura beach. The pool was good Overall very happy with our stay

Thank you for your kind review. One of the great aspects of our location is that whether a surfer or not, one has several nearby beaches to explore or surf. Depending on ones surfing ability and also for those that want to experience several surfing beaches, adding variety to ones trip is no problem. Playa Hermosa (Hermosa Beach ) where we are located, is a world class surfing beach. Depending on the day or season the waves can be modest to quiet large. Jaco beach or Playa Herradura are just minutes away and provide surf for less experienced persons. Always something for everyone. Hope you can soon return again. Tim

The perfect vacation location

We chose Tim's Hermosa Palms location in Playa Hermosa after an extensive search online. With our 4 kids (ages 14-21) and my parents with us, the rental we chose was very important since we wanted something convenient, safe, clean, and big enough for all of us. From the day we booked the home, Tim was a great communicator and so helpful in his suggestions. He provided a list of things to do in the area, answered all my questions, and put me in touch with Warren at Zuma Rentacar. Marco, the property manager, did a walkthrough of the house the morning after we got there, and he checked in with us several times to see if we needed anything. The home was just what we expected--clean, quite spacious, located in a beautiful gated community, and just far enough away from Jaco (about a 12-15 min drive). They provide plenty of towels, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are very nice. We worried a bit about sharing just 2 full bathrooms amongst 8 of us, but it wasn't a problem since there was a half bath downstairs. We cooked breakfast in the well-stocked kitchen most mornings, made sandwiches, and even cooked dinner a couple of times (feeding 8 people gets expensive). Pool area is incredible. Sit in the shade under an umbrella, read, swim, enjoy YoYo's fantastic drinks and food, and look out at the beach. As large as the beach is with so few people, you almost feel like you have your own private location. Playa Hermosa is also one of the most consistent breaks in Costa Rica (as we learned from a local), so you'll enjoy watching people surf on the drive from the main road to the house. We grew to really love that drive. A few favorites: zipline and ATV at Vista Los Suenos, surfing at Jaco Beach, Taco Bar restaurant, soda restaurants, Pizza Pata, Villa Caletas at sunset. Husband rented a motorcycle and hit the trails in the hills for a few hours and loved it. Another local seconded Tim's advice to take Rafa's monkey tour and I'm kicking myself that we didn't make time for that. Next time! So come to Playa Hermosa, stay at Tim's house, enjoy Costa Rica. We loved every minute of our time there.

Last minute surf trip

I have Stayed in Hermosa Palms before and liked the location. The community pool is a great place to relax after a busy day surfing and doing other activities. The rental Process was easy communicated with Tim he had someone meet us at the property for checkin. The house is beautiful and Well-maintained. I would stay at this home again in the future.
