Exactly what we were looking for. A truly rare find.

Imagine an ancient farm cottage with modern amenities, sheep in your backyard, the coolest cat ever making his rounds, green rolling hills all around you, privacy, peace and quiet, and the best sleep ever. We loved our stay.

Lovely spot, sweet cottage, kind hosts

We were in this part of Wales for 4 days, using the cottage as a base of operations.

Thank you for your comments about Damson Cottage and I am glad that you had a lovely time staying here. The shower is in a normal sized UK bath. We cannot fit a walk-in shower into this cottage for two! We are getting super-fast internet fitted at considerable expense....sometime over the next few months. We are at the end of the line here and it can be slow when lots of people want to use it ..... and the walls of the cottage are over 2' thick!

Beautiful cottage in picturesque setting.

A lovely few days. Damson Cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. A beautiful location and not far from shops, Brecon Theatre and some great walks.

Short stay in the Brecon Beacons

Our stay was in self catering cottage Damson Cottage. An excellent week some days walking other days just browsing shops and having coffee out.

It was relaxing and comfortable, anecessary stop in a beautiful bolt hole, in otherwise busy lives.

The personal touches and the cottage, which is in a beautiful , peaceful spot with a lovely private garden to sit in.

Perfect Relaxation

It keeps getting better!

This was the third time we have stayed at Alltybrain and it was probably the best. Excellent wifi connection made life just that little bit easier and even more relaxing. Great weather, great walking in such a lovely part of the world.

Second stay at this lovely property and looking forward to returning there again soon.

One week stay for myself and my animal-loving, 11-year old daughter. The beautiful Damson Cottage is ideal for the both of us. The owners kindly let my daughter assist on the farm, which she absolutely loves, so much so that she rarely wants to leave the farm to go and see everything else that the Brecon Beacons have to offer! I cannot speak highly enough of the owners and this property. It is a must-visit.

Damson Cottage at Alltybrain was the perfect choice of accommodation in such a beautiful location

I booked Damson Cottage at Alltybrain for my 8 year old daughter and I, having never visited the Brecon Beacons before. We stayed for 4 nights and we would have loved to have stayed for longer. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the two resident dogs and the owner, Rose. Nothing was too much trouble for Rose and she made us feel so welcome. Chickens roamed in the garden, black sheep in the field next to the cottage and the two Shetland ponies made this choice so special.

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location

Damson Cottage is a delightful cottage, full of old world charm (a wonderful stone flagged kitchen!), but comfortably furnished with all the features that you would expect. The rooms are lovely and large, with great views of rural Wales from every window. On arrival, Welsh cakes and a bowl of freshly laid eggs greet you- the hens responsible for the eggs roam the farm, keen to investigate everything! The cottage is close to the owner's farm, but a haven of peace and tranquillity.
