An excellent house for two couples and our small dog. Its ‘sun’ room and small garden allows you to take advantage of its excellent position on the canal. It’s well equipped and a very practical house, five minutes walk from Brecon town centre. We’ll certainly stay there again.

Such a wonderful place! The host was very responsive… The view from the patio was outrageous with the narrow boats and the people walking down the path on the other side with their dogs made be happy… I couldn’t ask for better experience!

The property was good with very thing you are likely to need for a stay. The view from the conservatory over the canal is great. The quality of the beds was good. I never did workout how to get the ordinary tv channels without going through the individual websites (it might be worth including some instructions). As advised the parking isn't great but manageable. We would certainly consider staying at this property again if we are in the Brecon area.

Lovely cottage on the canal. Loved feeding the ducks. Accommodation was nice though stairs were a bit steep and slippery without slippers. If you like a soft bed please take a topper with you as the mattress is definitely medium to firm. Parking was an issue, as informed. If you have a large car (we have a 5 series BMW) it is not easy to park outside the cottage. Firstly lack of spaces and secondly you do have to either reverse down or up the dead end road which is very narrow and obviously has cars parked all along one side which means you cannot turn the car around to avoid reversing onto the main road. There is other parking available on the main road or in nearby dead end roads.

lovely clean house, we spent most of our time there sat in the conservatory people watching (and waving!) Brecon is a lovely town, very friendly people and the cottage is ideally positioned as its down a quiet street, but within a short walk of the town centre. would recommend and come again

Fabulous place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - fantastic sun room overlooking the canal where we spent most of our time watching the world go by. Lots to do in the area - highly recommend a stay here.

We enjoyed our stay here. Everything worked well and we really enjoyed sitting in the sun room watching the comings and goings on the canal as the sun went down.

Helen’s cottage is lovely and had everything we needed for a family of 4 adults. We loved the conservatory overlooking the canal and made good use of the garden. Helen was very responsive to our queries and made sure that our stay was comfy. We highly recommend this property.

Great stay!

Loved being on the canal. Could watch the boats and walkers from the private patio. Full kitchen if you like to cook. Bedrooms were nice sized and great beds. We loved the location for walking around town. Very quiet.

Absolutely stunning retreat

Exceptionally clean, bright, cozy cottage with stunning views. Quiet, peaceful, felt like a retreat while being conveniently in the center of town. Host communicated very proactively and responded quickly. The kitchen was excellently equipped to cook for our family of four, and watching the duck families on the canal provided endless peaceful entertainment!

Perfect Family Cottage

Loved every minute of our stay here! Waking up and feeding the ducks with my kids every morning, having coffee in the sunroom, fly fishing from the backyard, so many great memories. Location is perfect, cottage is modern and bright with everything you need and Helen the owner is so nice and helpful. Will be back!!!

Brecon canal house

We loved staying here right on the Canal in Brecon. It was very central for everything we needed to do. The view from the conservatory onto the canal was a huge bonus. Everything was clean and comfortable. Thank you very much Helen

Central, well kept accommodation

Comfortable, spotlessly clean, well located. Lovely situation beside canal with waterside garden. Parking quite tricky in very narrow street but we managed to park within 100 yards. We would happily return.

Nice house by the canal

Very nice clean and tidy house by the canal Perfect place as a base for Brecon town and the mountains . Both nights spent by the fire at the Clarence lovely food and a pint or two of Butty . Great staff and also some beautiful photography to look at there . Lovely home and as always good people in Brecon .

Wonderful property

Wonderful spacious cottage. Lovely and clean. Well appointed. Everything you could need for a wonderful break. The sun room and garden by the canal were amazing to relax and watch the world go by. The owner of this property has gone the extra mile to ensure her guests have the best break xxx
