Cozy, maison de pierre autonome intelligente, 1000 pieds de haut

Un confortable cottage indépendant en pierre (ancien garage) situé sur le versant sud d'une paisible vallée verdoyante au-dessous de Cefn Llwydallt. Nous sommes 1000 pieds et les vues sont géniales! À quelques minutes de route de Hay-on-Wye, de Brecon et de Builth Wells, le Barn Annexe est idéal pour un séjour indépendant. Un parking privé pouvant accueillir jusqu'à deux voitures se trouve à proximité de la porte d'entrée. Le rez-de-chaussée est à aire ouverte et comprend une cuisine spacieuse, un salon et une salle à manger ainsi que des toilettes. à l'étage il y a deux chambres et une salle de bain avec douche et WC. Il y a le wifi partout, une table de pique-nique à l'extérieur et une pelouse herbeuse menant à un ruisseau. Promenez-vous: vous êtes le bienvenu. Et il y a de grandes promenades, littéralement de la porte d'entrée!

• Récemment aménagé dans un ancien garage double, le bâtiment annexe est spacieux, élégant, propre et confortable. Et délibérément épurée, mais avec tout le nécessaire pour un séjour confortable.
• La porte d'entrée donne sur des champs verdoyants avec une vue magnifique sur la magnifique vallée de Sgethwin. Au-dessus de nous se trouve la terre commune de Cefn Llwydallt. Au sud, Hay Bluff et le reste des Brecon Beacons sont notre toile de fond.
• C'est tranquille! Endormez-vous au son des moutons et de la brise des arbres.
• Il y a beaucoup de belles promenades, à proximité ou à une courte distance en voiture, le long de la rivière Wye et dans les Black Mountains et les Brecon Beacons.
• Le ciel nocturne est sombre (apportez votre télescope!)
• C’est un bon endroit pour les ornithologues: bec croisé, pipits, blé, cerfs-volants, buses...
• Désolé, mais nous ne pouvons pas accepter les chiens (nous avons des chats et des moutons à proximité).
• Veuillez noter qu'il s'agit d'une zone rurale, avec un accès par des routes à voie unique et une piste non métallisée.

Interaction avec les invités
La grange où nous (Jo et Dave) vivons est à proximité, mais pas trop proche. Nous ne serons pas dans votre visage! Nous ferons de notre mieux pour vous aider à profiter de votre séjour dans notre belle vallée.

Idyllic setting

This property was clean and tidy and well equipped. The location was beautiful, we had a very relaxing time and enjoyed seeing the wildlife. Directions to property were very good and easy to follow, it is a single track for the last bit. Would stay again.

Fantastic property in a picturesque location

The barn annexe is a delightful property set in a remote beautiful location. Everything you could possibly need is contained in this lovely building. A great place for a peaceful & relaxing break. Our hosts Dave & Jo were very informative and friendly. We would be very happy to revisit one day.

Beautiful and spacious

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, exceptionally clean and more spacious than it looks from the outside! We had everything we could have wanted and the beds were super comfortable! Peaceful chill

The hosts are great and really make an effort with the communication pre-arrival. The Barn is lovely, spotlessly clean and well equipped and a great standard, the views from the barn are superb.We had a nice peaceful undisturbed break and enjoyed the local walking. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

Perfect hideaway

Beautiful spot. Lovely well appointed property with everything you may need carefully thought of and supplied... Including some delicious welcome treats! We stayed here as a pit stop heading north and loved it... Instructions to get there were perfect and added to the sense of adventure. Definitely the place to go if you want some peace and quiet.

The location was stunning. 1000 ft up with magnificent views. We had great weather so sitting outside and watching the birds who seemed to do special displays for us! The instructions on how to find the property were excellent (one tricky bit on the last leg which was to look out for a telegraph pole!). Almost equidistant between Builth Wells, Brecon and Hay-on-Way it was ideally located - great gallery at Erwood itself, definitely worth a visit. If you are a walker this is a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation was spacious and satisfactorily equipped.

Comfortable, stylish accommodation in a beautiful location

The barn annexe is a spacious, comfortable option for anyone wanting to enjoy the peace and wonderful views across the valley. Dave and Jo were very generous hosts. We were walking the Wye Valley Way and they kindly offered to pick us up from the village to save a long walk up the hill. Would love to have had more time to enjoy this lovely cottage and think it would make a great base for anyone wanting to explore the region. I would definitely return if back in the area. Communication with the owners was also excellent and they are very thoughtful hosts. Highly recommend the Barn Annexe

My wife Jo and I love living in our beautiful Welsh valley, and we're so glad that our guests can also enjoy this wonderful part of the world along with us and our two cats. We live in a converted barn near the Barn Annexe. When we're not at home, we might be out walking or playing "jazz with Gypsy zing" in our musical group FiddleBop.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Nowadays, the Barn Annexe is a cosy self-contained stone cottage, which our guests love. But before Jo and I moved from Oxfordshire to this beautiful place in 2017, it was a rather dilapidated (and crowded!) double garage.

We decided to make it into a nice place for visitors. This took us over a year and involved a lot of hard work. We've tried to make the Barn Annexe as comfortable as possible for a self-catering stay. We think that it is just the sort of place we would enjoy staying in ourselves. :-)

It's roomy but cosy, traditional in style but with modern amenities. And while there is pretty much everything that you need for a comfortable stay, the place is deliberately uncluttered. Downstairs is open-plan, with kitchen, dining and lounge areas, and a toilet. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Outside, there is parking for one or two cars. You'll love it!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This is a peaceful and beautiful place, perfect for writing, painting, or musical inspiration. And for relaxing! There are lots of fine walks, starting at the front door or just a short drive away, including short walks along the River Wye, and longer and more challenging ones in the Black Mountains and rest of the Brecon Beacons. Night-time skies here are dark (bring your telescope!), also it's a good place for bird watchers: we've seen crossbill, pipits, wheatear, kites, buzzards...

Nearby are Hay-on-Wye ("the town of books"), atmospheric Brecon with its Cathedral and Jazz Festival, Builth Wells for the Royal Welsh Agricultural Showground, and quaint Talgarth ("the jewel of the Black Mountains"). And the wonderful Brecon Beacons National Park!
