Great location, great apartment. Above a lovely butchers so smell of cooking meat which may not suit vegetarians. Quite dusty in places but this could be solved with some cleaning. Thank you for the great communication and information. Much appreciated.

Very nice cottage right on top of the famous butcher shop.Easy acces to everything.The river at the entrance gives you a relaxing mood and its very quite at night eventhough it next to the busy street.We’ve got everything we need and the owner is very communicative.The cottage needs dusting that make me sneeze all the time but other than that,we have a lovely time.thank you

We loved the location and the roominess of the property. We appreciated having a washing machine and a comfortable bed. We also enjoyed working with Andrea and being able to meet her before we left.

Ideal for exploring the area

The accommodation was ideal for exploring Hathersage. Easy walking distance to the outside pool. Lovely surrounding walks. Good cafes and restaurants in Hathersage. Accommodation was lovely, everything we needed.

Nicest, most warm and welcoming Airb'N be we have ever come across. Almost imnediate responses to queries. The apartment could not be more centrally placed for the numerous pubs, shops and restaurants in Hathersage and a private parking space is priceless. The apartment is warm and cosy after a day on the hill. The Butcher's below is a gem. I would want to stay anywhere else.

Excellent Location

Location was excellent - great view of the main high street from the lounge window. Comfortable apartment within easy walking distance of the lido, great pubs and cafes, Little John's grave etc! Main bed had integrated TV in footboard - great feature as long as you're shorter than 6 foot 4"!

compact Peak District Paradise

four fantastic days in the Pete District centred around this accommodation in Hathersage which was in a great location, nice and clean and did everything we needed it to. fantastic hosts as well! Great trip!

The property was just right for me and well located. Having off street parking was great and it was also close to local transport options. It had everything I needed inside and was very comfortable. Would definitely return!!

Weekend in Hathersage

Lovely weekend stay at Morton Loft. Apartment was perfect, clean and in a great location. No negatives - would gladly stay again and communication with Andrea (host) was great. Definitely recommend this little gem.

Weekend Away with the Family to enjoy the Peaks

I want to say a huge thank you as we had a fabulous weekend in the peaks. Perfect location for some fantastic walks. Property was in prime location for local shop and some lovely restaurants. Clean and tidy with enough space for the 4 of us plus pet. Host was excellent and was very helpful before our stay with some good recommendations.

Peaks

Well located property with all amenities. Lovely village with fantastic walking and numerous cafes/restaurants. A little noisy in the early mornings with traffic noise and from business below but to be expected in this location. Very peaceful in the evenings/night.

This is listed as newly refurbished but if so must have been abused since. The bathroom basin is cracked, the hob in the kitchen is chipped and the freezer compartment door in the fridge is broken. Basic cleaning had been done but the skirting boards and floor edges haven’t been scrubbed down in quite some time, if ever. The floor must have been mopped with a dirty mop head so my feet were filthy within ten minutes of arriving. The front door inside and out were very dirty which gave a bad first impression, and the small outside space is overgrown with weeds and sports two rusty metal seats. Every piece of glass/mirror has a layer of dust/dirt on it, so much so that at first I thought the glass lamps in the lounge were opaque.A tv bed has been included in the bedroom, which I guess some would think is luxurious, but the pillows are cheap and uncomfortable. There are two mirrors in the lounge with no plug socket nearby so you have to dry/style your hair blind. A mirror added in the bedroom above the double socket would be much more practical. Overall it was adequate for the six days we stayed and is certainly very central to Hathersage. The designated parking space is a great bonus.

The flat was really clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen, including a washer/dryer. Heating and hot water was very efficient (and much appreciated after a windy day on the hills). Very easy to visit by train. The little shop is less than 5 minutes away and is well stocked and the bakery does lovely pastries and a range of other things. Hourly trains into Sheffield make it a good spot to visit both the city and the Peaks. The area is beautiful and it's great being able to walk from the door. We did a lovely 6 mile Stanage Edge circular walk that we'll definitely do again. All communications with Andrea were timely and very smooth. Highly recommend; we plan to return.

Weekend above a butchers

Property well presented. Ideal for the weekend we wanted. Gathers age is a beautiful place. Fish and chip shop excellent, local walks brilliant and very relaxing. We did encounter a few electrical problems at the property that were dealt with, though to be woken on a Saturday morning was not appreciated. Though owner was trying to help this problem should have been sorted before we got there.

It was actually fine ahead of your stay and so it couldn’t have been resolved sooner. The electrician kindly came out that morning for you, as per your request to have the switch fixed immediately. Sorry if, on reflection, you wanted him to come later.

Newly decorated and well located

Andrea was very responsive, friendly and helpful. The apartment is not the largest, but has been newly refurbished internally, with 2 smart TVs, good wifi, well-stocked kitchen, and beds + comfortable sofabeds for 6 with plenty of linen & bedding. Hathersage is an excellent location for many sites in the White / Dark Peaks, whilst on-site parking + bus stops + shops + restauramts nearby make the apartment very convenient. It is relatively quiet in the evening, but may better suit early risers given its proximity to the main road and being above commercial premises.
