Richmond Place [367]

Richmond Place is very conveniently located for Edinburgh’s Old Town, just a short walk from the Cowgate and the Royal Mile, and ideally located for those wishing to make the most of their time in Edinburgh as most of the major attractions are very close by. For those visiting during the Edinburgh Festival the apartment is very close to the Pleasance and the Festival Theatre which host a large number of productions as well as being very convenient for those visiting the University of Edinburgh. The lively area round Nicolson Street offers a range of local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants including the renowned Mosque Kitchen. The delights of Holyrood Park are a few minutes away and the energetic can be at the top of Arthur’s Seat in 20 minutes to drink in the marvellous views over the city.

This ground floor apartment with stylish dark laminate flooring throughout sleeps up to 4 people in two bedrooms. The sitting/dining room, which has a kitchen off, has windows on three sides of the room thus making the most of natural light during the day. Furnished with a comfortable sofa bed and armchair there is seating for 4 people grouped round a glass coffee table. There is a TV with DVD Player and a selection of DVD’s and books for leisure moments. The apartment offers guests the convenience of Wi-Fi.

Please note that the sofa bed is provided in order give maximum flexibility of sleeping arrangements and we cannot accommodate more than 4 guests in this apartment.

The newly installed galley kitchen has views over communal rear gardens and play area. This is equipped with oven and hob, washing machine, microwave and a good selection of crockery cutlery and cookware.

There are two simple but comfortable bedrooms – a double bedroom quietly located to the rear of the property and a twin bedroom situated at the front of the property. Both bedrooms have drawer and hanging space.

A recently tiled bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash hand basin and WC.

This property doesn't come with free parking but there is limited paid street parking in the local area for an additional fee.

The location was great! Close to all the places tourists might want to go, but not so close as to be noisy. The host was really responsive - we had some issues figuring out the temperature controls and they responded immediately and took action. The rooms were small, but everything was clean and had all the amenities we needed.

Clean and nicely appointed, great location, easy access to many sites within walking distance. Laundry available in the apartment. Great little restaurant around the corner serving breakfast lunch and dinner called Richmond cafe. A couple of market places to buy some grocery and snack items within close walking distance. Really enjoyed our stay there.

We had a great stay at this wonderful flat. It was very clean, well equipped, and very close to all the sites to see on Edinburgh. It was so convenient to get out the door and a mere five minute walk to downtown. This place was great!

Really enjoyed staying here! The location can't be beat. The flat was perfectly located for the Fringe, at the epicenter of several Fringe hubs. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars, grocery/convenience stores, etc. all within a few blocks walk. Highly recommend Origin Coffee and Lighthouse Books. The Royal Mile, the Castle, and Arthur's Seat were also close by. Nothing is really more than a 20-30 minute walk tops from here!The space isn't huge but was very nice and had everything we needed (i.e. enough towels, hair dryer, iron, etc.). It's on the ground floor. We were 4 adults and we did totally fine here. Excellent shower/sink water pressure and hot water. Heating was also great - we ended up turning off most of the radiators as it gets warm easily. Having a washer was a bonus, we were able to pack less and wash throughout our stay (drying racks were available). Beds were comfortable. The room with the double bed is smaller than the two single beds room - we were two adults with two large suitcases in the room with the double bed and it was quite tight to move around. The single beds room has a closet as well. The single beds room faces the street, so if you have the window open, you will hear some street noise.The hosts were extremely communicative and friendly, and even let us check in a little early as soon as the flat was ready. Thank you to the hosts! A wonderful stay overall. I'd be more than happy to stay here again.

Cosy property in excellent location

Cosy and warm apartment in a fantastic location, really close to public transport, shops and a lovely cafe just around the corner. Had everything we needed (except perhaps a hair and clothes dryer). Would definitely stay again.

Really well situated apartment very close to shops and restaurants but in a quiet street in terms of traffic noise, although it's close to University of Edinburgh buildings and there was noise from neighbours that we suspect were students. The apartment was lovely and warm, with good bedding and towels. The only disappointments were the sofa set-up which wouldn't comfortably sit 4 people and it felt like some of the finishings like paintwork had been rushed. While there were whiskey glasses and champagne flutes, we thought it odd there were no wine glasses. Otherwise, a comfortable stay and very well located. Would recommend.

Fantastic location! The apartment is crowded, especially the double bedroom. Bed was ok. The apartment wasn’t appropriately cleaned, with leftover scrunchies and q-tips on the floor.

can't beat the location but a bit run down

needs an owner's touch - chair legs stuck out so everyone was always tripping, the one semi upholstered chair very worn, big blob of dirt/dust in bathroom. Location was great. Walls very thin but no one was loud. beds were fine
