A classically furnished apartment, located right on the lakefront, with breathtaking views of the Bellagio peninsula, in the center of Lake Como.

Just steps from the magical town of Varenna.

Fiumelatte takes its name from the Fiumelatte River, one of the shortest rivers in Italy, from its source to its plunge into the lake. It rushes down the valley with an average gradient of 36°, giving its roaring waters a sparkling, milky white hue.

Masimo hassled me when I canceled the first property that I booked for this better one that I did book. Then I tried to pay early and he wouldn’t allow it. Then the day after I paid my husband had an accident and passed away. I provided the death certificate and letter from the hospital. Massimo refused to cancel the booking and refund my money. Additionally, I kept getting texts to fill out forms, pick up keys, sign up for food delivery. All the while I’m trying to bury my husband. I would never rent from a person who doesn’t have compassion. Be forwarned.

We loved our stay here. Our only complaint is that we wish there was a coffee shop or convenience store nearby. If you are a coffee drinker, there is a machine, but bring your own coffee. Never have I stayed in Italy where there wasn’t coffee nearby. But the apartment and views were beautiful!

Great location. Everything accessible by ferry which is a 15 minute walk. Hiking trails out the back door. Restaurants close, fabulous couple of days!

Beautiful Apartment/ Beautiful view

We had a wonderful 4 days at the Postcard1 property. The view from the balcony is indeed a postcard. The property has everything that you need for a great stay. Serena was very responsive in making our stay comfortable.

Nice place

Overall nice place. Once you park your car, best not to move it. However, 1/2 hr walk to town we enjoyed but not for everyone.

Much better than a postcard

Exactly as the title, the actual view is much better than what shown on the property pictures. Furthermore Serena is very friendly and nice host. She even arranged a car to take us to the train station when our taxi canceled the pickup due to whatever reasons.

Nice unit. The listing doesn't indicate that there is no a/c; I suppose there's not in most European lodgings...but would've been nice to know since it was 90 degrees. Parking for the unit across the street, down a bit. It's not guaranteed and space is limited, dedicated for residents vs guests. You will have to pay for daytime parking but it is free between 8pm & 8am, I think it was. We took our car to the train parking area in town and paid for parking there during the day. The building was a little sketch w/ two tiny elevators that hold 2 ppl max. We like to take the stairs when we don't have luggage but the stairwells were not lit. The walk into town 20 mins & literally on the road. You share it w/ the cars in many places which is dangerous, esp at night. Another path to town behind the building somewhere is way up high & not close to get to. Not really an option. Lastly, & most disapointing is that I got charged upon arrival for cleaning and taxes. My reservation was prepaid. The posting stated NO HIDDEN FEES...EVERYTHING INCLUDED. Apparently not. I tried to discuss w/ Massimo & he tried to tell/show me where it states that cleaning & tourist taxes will be collected, yet I couldn't locate that text anywhere on the site. If it is there, it is hidden and not obvious because I didn't see it. It should be posted next to the quote & REMOVE "NO HIDDEN FEES...EVERYTHING INCLUDED". Disappointed in VRBO group also for allowing this. I wouldn't book here again

Wonderful !

Fiumelatte is also lovely quiet neighborhood about 30 minutes (walking time) from busy Varenna. The views of the lake were stellar! The property is just as listed with a great little well stocked kitchen, 2 roomy bedrooms and nice bathrooms with showers. Also appreciated the clothes washer. It was so nice sitting on the balcony. Serena was AMAZING! We arrived later then planned because of the mudslide ( trains were not running during our stay)….she met us at the dock and drove us to the apartment. One of the best properties I have every rented thru VRBO.

Superior views

The Postcard apartment has unparalleled views of Lake Como and convenient free nearby parking. The host,Serena, was outstanding in helping us arrive and checking us in.She alerted us regarding the road closure just south of the apartment and sent us alternate driving directions. The apartment was spacious and there was ample hot water. Our bed was comfortable but could have used some extra light blankets.The extra blankets were extremely heavy.Blankets were necessary since the heating system was turned off. Our only negative comment pertains to the nightime noise we encountered.One night we had a party group in a nearby apartment; they sounded like screaming hyenas right up to midnight.The second evening people above our apartment kept scraping chairs between 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning.Light sleepers are well advised to use earplugs when sleeping here.

Wundervolle Aussicht

Gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung zum Wohlfühlen mit traumhafter Aussicht auf den Comer See. Kommunikation und Schlüsselübergabe hat hervorragend funktioniert. Vielen Dank, Serena Whirlpool wie in der Beschreibung erwähnt, ist aber leider nicht vorhanden. Parkplätze direkt vor der Unterkunft. Straße vor dem Haus auch nachts stark befahren und laut.

Beautiful place, a must see.

Nice spacious two bedroom with two full bathrooms, large living /dinning area with a beautiful view of Lago de Como. Not to mention the host was very helpful and quick to respond. Will definitely visit again!

The view was exceptional. Great amenities. One bathroom with washer smelled bad. Fan in bedroom was a little noisy. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
