Comfortable but missing extras

The space was comfortable in general. The front deck is too noisy to use but the back patio was great. Overall the furnishings were tired as was the decor. The kitchen had zero spices and no sharp knives (it was a struggle to cut anything) We enjoyed our time

Nice location, great bird watching, owner very responsive

We have come a few years and love Fountain Hills. We are more familiar with the area now and appreciate the closeness of shopping and restaurants, along with places with entertainment and musicians who have become friends. Love feeding the hummingbirds, Quails, doves, and other birds. Owner is very responsive when we have needed anything. We are returning again.

Good location to visit local family

This home is in a good location and is central to everything in town. The photos didn’t quite match the actual house in regards to the master bedroom bedding, pillows, rugs (missing entirely) and general decor which is one of the reasons we chose to stay here so that was disappointing. The mattress and pillows also need to be upgraded; the bed was really uncomfortable and my husband slept miserably. Overall the house would benefit from a deep cleaning/dusting, as other reviewers noted, and maybe simple amenities like a supplied Keurig and tissues. If details and comfort like this matter to you, you may want to keep looking!

Great vacation home

We had a wonderful stay in Fountain Hills. It was the perfect location to get where we needed to be all week, although the specific street was a bit noisy. Nothing a white noise machine can't fix :) The property owner was very fast at communicating and very helpful. The house could benefit from a good deep-clean, but it still suited our needs just fine. We would stay again!

Wonderful location for either activities or relaxing

We have enjoyed the area so very much for the past ten or so years. This location is great for the local area and for going to any town nearby. Picking up someone at the airport is amazingly fast. The owner is very responsive to any questions or requests, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Looking forward to being here again. Many supplies for whatever is needed.

Spacious and comfortable

We enjoyed having extra room and areas to do different things. Having a couple of guests was comfortable for all. The owner responded quickly and helpfully to any questions or concerns. One of our ur favorite things to do was watching all the birds after we put out a hummingbird feeder and a seed cage. They loved the shrubs and greenery close to the kitchen area. The patio was also comfortable and nice to sit in. We didn't use the front patio because of cool and rainy weather, but it looked very inviting. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Family Christmas

We had a wonderful family Christmas week in fountain hills with family and visiting extended family who live her. Movie theater down stairs was a hit.

Some little things!

This is a great property. Great location, spacious, well appointed. There were a few little things that could make it perfect: longer ceiling fan chains; make sure all light bulbs are working; water velocity in showers is too strong, install adjustable shower heads; citronella candles on from and back will keep bugs away. I will certainly try to stay here on my next trip.

This could be a great house, but it’s not because of lack of cleanliness. Dust across almost every surface. Windows so dirty, it’s a shame & you can’t see out them. It appears no one has bother to really clean this house in a long time. I was going to try to clean the front living room windows but there are no cleaning supplies. Also lots of lightbulbs out in lamps. The yard is in very sad shape. The master bath tub doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in months. Black mold in the master shower.

DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN!!

Looooved it!! Property is as described. Beautiful home in very nice area. Plenty of room. Liked having front and back areas to sit outside. Nice landscaping but needs weeding. As some reviews said towels don't match but as long as everything was as nice as it was I m fine. The negative thing is the pillows in the master bedroom are terrible....unless u prefer flat pillows. We would definitely stay again. Fountain Hills is gorgeous!!

Perfect place for our friends to stay during a visit.

Beautiful bedrooms. Nice area to visit. Great back patio and front patio for both morning and evening. I wish we could have used the theater room. Looked wonderful. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone.

Less than meets the eye

The home was lovely. As the listing says, everything is updated & decorated. The actual building was very nice. There were many bath and hand towels provided and a lot of space to enjoy outside. That being said, our stay was lackluster at best. The listing says there are three beds & three bedrooms, however, in reality, there are two bedrooms and one den with a pull out couch. There were many important small things missing that could have really put this place over the top. For instance, there is no drying rack for dishes in the kitchen and no laundry detergent although a washer and dryer are proudly listed Most importantly, our host was completely MIA for the entire length of our stay. We messaged him multiple times with questions regarding check in & even how to use the thermostat, and there was absolutely no communication. Not a single message. We would have had a MUCH nicer stay if he would have communicated with us and helped us find/utilize his space. Three stars... would not recommend.

Lovely house

Lovely house. Very clean except the tub needed a small touch up. Check in was seamless. Everything we needed for our stay was available. Groceries and restaurants were close and offered delivery. The home theater was a nice bonus. Nice place, would stay again.

Easy to get to

All the amenities were there in the neighborhood. Did not care for the sun to shine on the bed first thing in the morning, and there was no dish washing soap, or enough hand washing soaps, the main bathtub had no been cleaned, but everything else was clean. Enjoyed watching the quail and rabbits in the backyard in the mornings.

Mixed Review - But Solid 3

We had mixed feelings about this stay. First, we had to contact the property manager to get an entry code. We were grateful that we were able to bring our little dog. That said- this home just needs a re-fresh. The kitchen and baths were basically clean. However, the finish in the master bath tub was peeling and badly needs to be refinished. I would not get in this tub in the condition it is in. The shower was great and the water pressure was great. Appears to be some black mold around the floor edges. There were plenty of towels, but something like you would find at a garage sale or summer camp. Same with the bed linens. The BBQ In the backyard was so bad it should just be trashed. Pretty sure it has never been cleaned. The other unfortunate thing was no garage door opener. We were told that the last few renters had taken them, so no opener for us. Lot of extra steps. All said, we were grateful to be able to take our elderly dog. We enjoyed the theater room downstairs and appreciated the WiFi. We are not sure where the 5 star reviews came from. This is not the luxury home advertised. It could be if it was kept up to its original station. A solid 3.

Family

We had 3 adults and 3 teens in our family. When it was time to check in, I received no code. I messaged the owner several times. Hrs later, still no word at all. It was only after reaching out to vrbo, who then called him, did I finally get a response. He told me there was a delay and the reason, which I understood. He then apologized and said he would compensate us by buying us dinner and drinks. When we were finally allowed to enter the property, after it was thoroughly cleaned, there was a $40 check on the table. How is it possible to feed 6 people with $40đŸ€” smh. The house was clean and nice, but the host was very unprofessional. I thought we were going to have to find someplace else to stay because he didn't have the courtesy to reach out or reply to me.

Nice House; Clean and Easy to Live In

We needed a home to stay in for 4 nights while we completed a few appointments at the Mayo Clinic (Scottsdale building on Shea Blvd.). Th house was easy to get to, well cared-for and easy to stay in. Everything worked, great entertainment areas. Overall, a very positive experience.

Wonderful!

We stayed here for two weeks. Very nice home, which was convenient to everything we wanted to see. Comfortable inside, with nice seating in the front and back. Goran was very responsive to any questions. We felt at home!
