Most perfect stay

We arrived at the apartment and our host greated us with a bottle of Prosecco and saved us at parking spot. He showed us all we needed to know and recommended places to see and eat. We felt safe and supported at all times. This was the best vacation for us.

This 2-floor house is fully equipped. It was so very clean with a very comfortable bed and with a lovely garden/outdoor space to enjoy eating or relaxing while Rosie, the little cat trots by.We cannot say enough about Alessandro, our host, who lives next door. He was so present and helpful with anything and everything we asked about and needed. He will treat you like family. There’s a Conad market nearby and in the summer season to mid September you can walk down to the platformed beach clubs. We chose not to rent a car. So, we stepped out of the house and took Uber to get to the historical center of Catania and many other places. Restaurants are within walking distance. Bringing in some of your own food supplies helps. The nearby outdoor Wednesday market is a real Sicilian treat! Don’t miss it! All in all, our stay was great!

Exceeds expectations, great property with an even better host

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Donizetti House. The property was extremely comfortable and totally clean when I arrived. The neighborhood was nice as well, quieter than the more touristy parts of Catania. The host, Alessandro, was also extremely helpful. He not only saved me a parking spot for the check-in and waited late after my flight was delayed, he also recommended local activities and nearby live music in Catania. Would stay again!

Highly recommend this apartment

This is a fantastic apartment and great value, the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need with loads of pots and appliances, it has 4 TV screens with 1 at 6ft with Netflix! The apartment was really clean, modern and spacious, the two bathrooms are great with brilliant showers. All amenities, public transport and the sea are within walking distance and the area is lovely. The host is extremely helpful and accommodating with anything that I needed and checked in often to make sure everything was okay.

Wonderful clean house with quiet garden

Alessandro was an excellent host and very communicative. Responses were prompt and helpful. He met us at the house when we arrived, even holding a parking spot for us in the front of the building. The house was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The air conditioner was much appreciated because Sicily was 10 above normal the week we were there. We would definitely stay in this house and with this host again. One recommendation would be to bring some supplies for eating and drinking because there aren’t very many restaurants close by. That said, there is a nice little market a couple hundred meters away, a supermercato less than 1 km, and a couple of wonderful seafood restaurants about 15 minutes walk away, down by the shore. A good experience overall…
