Beautiful 4 bedroom apartment located in the heart of Barcelona, near plaza Catalunya. The apartment can accommodate up to 6 guests, which makes it the perfect choice for a large family or business groups. The apartment has a huge living area that features a relaxing sofa and a flat screen TV, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen with all the appliances.



The apartment is 5 minutes from Metro Plaza de Catalunya (Red Line L1 & Green Line L3) and Plaza Urquinaona (Lines 1 & 4).



The Space:

Welcome to this 120 m2 spacious and modern flat located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. Enjoy the convenience of staying in the center of Barcelona, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and the city's best attractions. Take a short 30-minute walk to admire the beauty of La Sagrada Familia or explore the nearby Parc de la Ciutadella. The luxurious shopping street Passeig the Gracia is also just a 10-minute walk away.



We manage other apartments in the same building, really convenient for big families, groups or business trips.



⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The Neighborhood:

Dreta de l'Eixample is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona. It includes Plaça de Catalunya, the centre of the city, and the upscale streets Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. It is the bourgeois neighborhood of the city, which makes the majority of its population belong to the upper class of Barcelona. Dreta de L'Eixample is one of the most luxurious neighborhoods of Barcelona.



Getting Around:

The closest metro station is Plaça Urquinaona (Lines 1 & 4).

The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the bus "Aerobus" at Plaça Catalunya, in front of "El Corte Inlges". The cost is around 4.5€



Other Things to Note:

*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***



- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small city tax fee of 9.50€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.



- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.



- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation

and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs

Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)



*** HOUSE RULES ***



1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction

2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.

3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).

4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.

5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.

6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.

7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.



Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Great location

We had a very great stay. Well situated in Barcelona, close to everything. A few problems, but nothing that wasn’t corrected promptly.

Not what you see on pictures

The host was always available and very polite! I was expecting a completely different thing. The photos are very different from what really looks like. They don’t say the sq feet, but they say it has 4 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms, specially one are super tiny, one of the closets was impossible to open, the living room was super tiny, there was just one fork for 6 people (?). The WC have no drainage, it’s septic tank (you cannot throw paper in the toilet) and that’s not on the description. I found it extremely expensive for what it offers.

Hi Gabriela, The apartment m2 is included in the description, sorry you expected it to be a bigger unit, but it is exactly what it is being offered. The apartment has capacity for 6 people... therefore the kitchen equipment. The WC is NOT a septic tank, the apartment is located on a historic building dated from centuries ago, the cannonades are clogged easily if anything is thrown down the bathroom. Stay safe!

Barcelona Condo

The condo has an ideal location, not a noisy neighborhood and walking distance to everything. The bedrooms were comfortable but sparse. The size of the condo was very nice but lacking in amenities. There was no coffee or tea pot and very little silverware (2 forks, a few spoons and knives). We struggled with the air conditioner in the hallway, it leaked severely and the property manager did get someone to repair it after a day in a half (understandably since one of the days was a Sunday). However it dripped all night for 2 nights in a large jar we placed under it after soaking through 2 large towels. The washing machine did work appropriately and wobbled all over the outside deck. I think it's a nice location and size but seems like the owners might be new to the VRBO family and need to upgrade the amenities and do a few repairs.

La Ribera Disappoints - the pictures look so much better! Beware!!!

We stayed for 9 days, and were excited to stay based on the pictures posted. My husband checked in a day earlier and mentioned that the apartment looked like it needed more cleaning. (dust bunnies under couch, baseboards all dusty & dirty). Most of the wooden pegs for clothing throughout apartment were broken hanging loosely off the wall. The couch was stained/soiled and had the appearance of being dirty. (we placed a blanket for the duration of the visit). The mattresses in some rooms lumpy and the fitted sheets barely covered the bed, and by morning were off all sides. There was only one towel each provided for each of us. The Kitchen oven tray looked very dirty and poor finishing in the kitchen (very deceiving from picture. ) The sink in main bathroom kept plugging up and filling with water almost on a nightly basis. My husband had to use a hanger to release some of the water. The smaller bathroom window did not open, and no fan or ventilation in main bathroom. The tap poured out only HOT water at nighttime in the small bathroom. It would have been nice to speak to somebody in person rather than several emails I had to send to Laura who tried her best to keep up with all our concerns. The final straw was there was a leak in the hallway through one of the potlights, and my husband had to put a pan there to catch the water as well as wipe up with the towels (which left us short as they were soaking). Not sure if anybody came to the apartment to look at this, but it did stop later (not sure when as we were out). The cupboards closest were dirty (not dusted, and the walls inside looked like they could have used a coat of paint. The shelves looked like plywood with the raw edge facing the front (not good for clothes!) One of the chairs in the dining area had a sharp piece of something protruding at the end of the chair top, which resulted in my pants that I was wearing with a hole/rip on back. So sorry to leave such a horrible review, but we were truly disappointed in what we thought would be a fabulous apartment. The location was fabulous, and this apartment will be good once all the necessary items are taken care off, and cleaning fee put to good use! Would NOT recommend this for VRBO. We have travelled to many places but this was disappointing especially for the money we paid for the nine nights of stay !

Such an unfortunate experience

We took a chance on booking this property before there were many reviews. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights but ended up leaving after 2 nights because the situation was untenable. THE POSITIVES: The check in process was smooth (all done through email and app). The location of the unit is great. Right next door to a delicious ramen restaurant and a short walk away from other hot spots. THE NEGATIVES: There is construction happening in the unit above which was incredibly loud. INCREDIBLY LOUD. There was no way my small children and elderly father could rest through jackhammering and drilling that went all day long. It would have been nice to have received some warning from the host about this in advance. Her response was that she couldn't do anything about it. The kitchen is not set up to do much. There is no tea pot, coffee pot or toaster. When I inquired with the host, her response was that there is an oven (which is not reasonable in 90 degree heat and humidity). The living room rug had a smashed prune on it. The washing machine is not anchored so when it's used it shakes and moves around the area. The top of the machine even fell off during the wash. The straw that broke the camel's back for us was the hallway AC unit (there is no AC in the bedrooms, so this is the only source of cool air in that area of the unit). It leaked nonstop. We had to put a pot under the leak to collect the water and bail water out every few hours. We went through several towels to mop up the mess. I requested additional towels but never received them. The host did call maintenance, but they could not fix it on the first attempt so we spent another night dealing with wet floors and dumping buckets of water before they returned the next day (the day we left). When things were going well the host was very responsive to my messages. When things weren't going well, her responses were extremely delayed. I communicated all of these challenges to the host and when we determined that we just couldn't stay any longer I asked if we could get a refund for the remaining 2 nights, which she said she could not do. I am an avid traveler and have been a host on a competing platform for over 8 years so I am very familiar with how property rentals should work. This has been the most disappointing and upsetting rental experience I have ever had. Please use caution before booking this property.

Thank you for your feedback, what is supposed to be done if the neighbors are doing some works at their place? They have the correct licenses to do the work and there is not much on my hands to do. As for the amenities, those are detailed in the listing description, as well as for the AC location, I assume you never read it.

Décevant

un appartement différent des photographies mises sur le site. En effet il est quelque peu défraichi. L'emplacement est idéal mais un petit coup de rénovation lui ferait grand bien.
