Traditional cottage with stunning views and walks on the doorstep.

Traditional 3 bed terraced cottage in picturesque Holmfirth, with amazing views over Brownhill Reservoir all year round. Perfect setting for a romantic break, or peaceful getaway with family or friends. Ideal for walking and cycling to explore the local countryside. Walking distance to local pubs with incredible food. Unique location and convenient for access to Holmfirth with its array of amenities.

The cottage is furnished to a high standard and is equipped with all you could need for your stay including high speed internet connection, well equipped kitchen with large modern cooker, private garden with bbq and secure storage for bicycles. Sleeps/houses 5 adults/4 adults & 2 kids. 1 king, 1 double & 1 twin bedroom (single & pull out trundle bed).

Travel cot, high chair and bumbo for babies and monitor for home working also available on request. Please let us know of any special occasions or requests, which can be offered at an additional charge.

The cottage has parking directly in front of the door for ease of access.

The cottage is sanitised after every stay to safeguard against the spread of COVID-19.

The cottage was lovely, so clean and welcoming. Easy to get into - given we arrived very late. We had a 1 year and 3 year old - it was lovely that Marie provided a high chair and travel cot - making our luggage a lot less. Also the provision of children's books was fab. The TV had all the usual apps that we could also sign into via our accounts. All in all a very good stay.

Fantastic location

Overall very happy with the location aswell as the communication from them property owner, really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be returning. Had everything we needed inside the cottage, local walks from the front door everything was fantastic.

The cleanliness wasn’t up to standard, the bedding wasn’t ironed and looked like it wasn’t fresh, tea towels dirty, dust in most corners, bedroom wardrobe was full of bedding that wasn’t ironed, and just looked like it had been thrown in, ( pictures can be provided) all pans needed washing thoroughly before use as they were greasy, the shower room and toilet that is located in the dining room and separated by a sliding door that didn’t close properly and didn’t lock we thought was not a very hygienic and embarrassing to use. There is a cupboard in the lounge that housed the hoover and other cleaning bits had pillows and towels strewn on the floor.The cottage was in a beautiful location with fantastic views, but was seriously let down by the overall cleanliness.

Hi Sue, I’m sorry to hear that the cottage did not meet your expectations during your stay. I take cleanliness very seriously and the property is professionally cleaned and prepared after every guest departure. I have shared your feedback with our cleaning team as part of our continuous efforts to maintain the high standards our guests expect. I would like to address a couple of points for any other guests - the bedroom wardrobe you mentioned is the linen cupboard where all our linen is kept, the other wardrobe in the attic room is free for our guests to use. The cupboard in the lounge is the under stairs cupboard and again it does house some spare cushions for the sofas/linen etc, that again should not impact our guests. Thanks Marie
