The Cliffhouse is only about a mile away from the small town of Lombada dos Marinheiros, which also has a small supermarket/bar. The nearest bakery is also less than a mile away. Calheta's harbor promenade, which has numerous restaurants and shopping facilities, can be reached in 15 minutes by car. Madeira's capital, Funchal, is around 45 minutes' drive away. Numerous levadas and vantage points are in the immediate vicinity. A trip to the picturesque town of Porto Moniz with its natural swimming pools leads through the impressively beautiful landscape of the north-eastern part of the island.

While we take all necessary measures to maintain a comfortable and clean environment, the presence of such creatures is a natural aspect of the beautiful tropical surroundings.
