Not What We Expected

We believe that the photos and high reviews on this property were not accurate. The property was in moderate condition. The A/C vents were caked in dust. There were roaches in the kitchen. The A/C overall did not work well - the master bedroom took particularly long to cool down. There was a deposit fee that appeared during checkout that was a surprise - we already had made other commitments, so we paid it... but, it took two weeks for it to be refunded. We ended up leaving a day earlier due to the uncleanliness of the house and the fact that we have young children.

We have terminex spray the house quarterly for pests. To say you left early because the house is not clean is not accurate. After your departure, we had to have the air conditioning repaired because you or your guests froze it by keeping it so low and that’s why it didn’t work well for your stay. There are no surprises in the payments as everything is listed online. All deposits take two weeks to be returned by the website. Feel blessed we didn’t keep it for having to fix the AC after you left.

Everything was great! The house was clean and the description of house and pool on VBRO is accurate! Property host was awesome, and very responsive to our needs. I would stay here again!!

This is a nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Sure it could use a few updates and the power switches and front door lock are quirky but overall it’s a great house in a good location that backs up to a green belt. The pool is very nice too but just too cold at Thanksgiving. Rent with confidence.

"Best house ever"

Those are the words that came out of the mouths of my teenage grandkids. They loved the open space in the workout room - used it for playing VR games AND as a practice room for viola! We were in town for the Austin Film Festival and not at the house very long, but the time we were there was great. Nice areas to spread out (and be away from the viola practice!), nice kitchen and very nice pool...just didn't get a chance to use it much! I TRULY appreciated Kevin because I totally messed up our check-in dates. Since the house wasn't rented immediately after our visit he was able to make a quick schedule change for check-in/check-out and our security deposit is already being processed (fastest one ever). He answered the phone both times I gave him a call when I realized I'd messed up the date AND when I realized I'd left my paper work with the entry code at home!! He didn't even seem annoyed (as I would have expected) to get a call in the evening. The g-kids want to make another visit to Austin just to stay in this house - not sure it will happen, but if we find ourselves in the area, we would definitely stay there again.

Great property

We stayed here due to its proximity to Q2 Stadium, but it was close to restaurants and shopping as well. The house had everything we needed for our stay and the backyard is AWESOME! Definitely would stay here again.

Great pool

It was a great time in Austin the house worked out well! The pool is a great feature. The air conditioning does not work in the master bedroom and was 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house.

Thank you for your review, Patrick We are sorry to hear that you didn’t find our property up to yours or our expected standards. Our cleaning crew noticed after your stay that the A/C was not working properly also. They informed me that previous to your arrival, it was workings properly, so something must have happened in between your arrival and the cleaning crew finishing thier work. Unfortunately, we were never informed of the problem, so we were not able to solve it during your stay. After your departure, the cleaning crew informed me that the A/C in the master and all of upstairs was not working correctly. Sometimes guests can set the thermostat a bit low and it freezes the system up. We considered this may have been the case during your stay and didn’t want to bother you with repair costs or assumptions on our end. We had the A/C repaired and the whole system serviced after your departure and everything is working correctly now. All parts of the house cool and heat very well. We do apologize for the inconvenience and wish we had known earlier so we could have had it fixed immediately and made your stay more comfortable. We do appreciate the feedback so we can do our best to make sure other guests do not experience the same problem. We’d definitely enjoy the opportunity to provide a more care free stay should you ever look to rent a property in Austin again. Thank you and take care. Kevin

Our stay

I can go on and on. This property was amazing! Sooo big, close to a highway, close to an HEB, has a big pool, and About 7-10 from the domain! I would definitely stay again. Check In and check out process was so easy. Owner was easy to communicate with if we had a question. Highly recommend.

Great home

This home was great and perfect for our group of adults (7). With 4 private bedrooms we all had enough space. The office was a great space to make some early morning work calls without disrupting others. The pool is amazing and the patio was perfectly setup for lounging in the sun or dining poolside. Uber’s were plentiful to get anywhere we needed. Located in a quiet residential area we felt safe and we were easily able to get to breweries, Rainey St, etc with no issue. There were plenty of pool towels and shower towels. The travel sized toiletries provided in the bathrooms were appreciated by our friends who luggage was lost. Thank you for providing a great home for our travels. Kevin was great to communicate with and I would recommend this home! No need to hesitate to book this one. It’s perfect.

Large outdoor space

This was a wonderful house to spend time with family. Plenty of outdoor space and large indoor dining table. The pool was well designed with a large pool deck. It does get deep quickly so keep this in mind with children. We kept lifejackets on the kids and they swam every morning and every evening. The house provides some morning shade and the wonderful tall green space behind the house provides evening shade. The house has plenty of outdoor seating as well. Bonus full home gym and private office space. The only con we experienced was the master shower head was leaking and in need of replacement. Not much pressure for washing hair.

Great spot for groups who want the option to hang at the pool AND have access to everything Austin has to offer during your visit. Host was super responsive, the house was spotless, and everything worked out great. Absolutely would stay here again.

Spacious, Clean, & Comfortable

Nice two story home in a quiet neighborhood and close to shopping centers. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. The four bedrooms on the upper floor provided ample sleeping choices. We found the beds to be quite comfy. We did not cook or grill but it was nice to have the option. The kitchen was well appointed. We mostly enjoyed the backyard and pool area. There was plenty of room for sunning as well as a large covered patio for taking a break from the sun. I came in town to visit my daughter and we had a great time in a place that felt like "home".
