It was a lovely apartment and would have been ideal for a shorter stay - we were there for 3 weeks and so missed having a proper outside space to relax in. We should have looked at a 2-centre holiday in retrospect. Guido was very helpful throughout. It was ideally placed for all our trips - only 10minutes to St Marks, waterbuses to Lido and Burano, Rialto Bridge in different directions. The only issues were around the descriptions: the local tax was a lot less than stated, but there was a substantial refundable deposit against breakages that was required that was not listed in the description so we had not planned for it, but when it was returned, meant that we had 'spare' cash that we struggled to spend at the end of the holiday and so will lose out on when we exchange it back. Bedsheets and towels were provided initially - but were only replaced at additional costs - not explained in the advance description. Some extra explanation in advance would have been useful. Also, the apartment is on the FIRST floor, so it is not a LOFT apartment as stated in the description - which implies being on the TOP floor and so having an open aspect and views. Finally, in the past when the owner has needed to come in, they have always contacted us in advance to check that it is ok - here, the owner turned up twice and entered the apartment (while we were there) unannounced. It could have been awkward, to say the least!
