We would choose it again

Nice apartment which is suitable for a family with two adults and up to three children. Less than five minutes to the beach and a good starting point to visit for example Dover, Sandwich/Ramsgate or to drive to Canterbury. There is a direct train to London from Deal so you can even make a daytrip there.

1. The apartment is in need of a deep clean, all utensils in the kitchen, pots etc., had a layer of grease on them and had to be washed before use. The stove hood was caked with grease. the caulking around the tub had black mold.When we arrived there was garbage piled under the stairs, Mark quickly removed it.There is no sitting area outside, there is a bistro set under the stairs.2. The host was very nice, Mark. He however is not the owner. 3. Ocean View...if you stood on the street you could see a bit of the ocean.4. It was my husband and I, and had I not already paid for the apartment I would have turned around and walked out. We put up with broken furniture, one place to sit to read/watch t.v. for one month on a love seat, the other one broken.The apartment below is for sale, so empty, the facade of the whole building is dirty, windows were very dirty, cob webs etc. broken latches broken blinds.The apartment; however, was well situated with access to public transit and all the surrounding towns. The people of Deal are lovely. It would have been very nice if a shopping cart was provided (we purchased one and left it there) as well as some beach chairs so that one can sit outside at the sea.The reason we use VRBO is because of the quality of properties offered. I think if you have inspectors, one is required at this property.Sorry, not sorry.

Lovely stay in Deal

The apartment is in a great location close to the beach, only a short walk to the city centre and the railway station. Very clean and equipped with everything you need. The friendly host always answered right away if there was any question or problem. We felt utterly cosy and everything and everybody was relaxed and laid back. Thanks again for the wine, Mark ;) Deal is in close proximity to many nice towns like Sandwich, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, which are ideal for little daytrips. We used the train to get to Canterbury and London. In contrast to German railway, British Southeastern Railway is always on time and the conductors are very friendly. Next time in England we will definitely use trains more often!! We were thoroughly enjoying our trip and can't recommend it enough. Thank you very much!!

As indicated, the flat was very clean and comfortable and very central. I did however have an issue with bathroom facilities. Putting it mildly, rhe bath and shower were unsafe and I did not use them. I am a small woman but found entry and exit of the bath quite dangerous. The moveable showerscreen had been fixed to the bath and a notice attached to it saying not to hold on. No other handles were fixed. This reduced entry and exit of te bath to around 18" at the sloping end

Alles bestens!

Super Appartement, alles sauber, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Lage top, nur wenige Schritte zum Strand.

Great Location and Accommodation

The accommodation was very clean and had all the essential things to help complete our fantastic stay in Deal. Great location just off the coast. Kids loved the beach, carnival and crazy golf. While adults enjoyed letting kids roam while we had a sneaky beer in the local pub! Mark and Lara are excellent hosts. Looking forward to coming back.
