Our summer holiday at Captain's Cottage (mum, dad, two teenage boys, and grandma) was extra special. After parking our large SUV in the garage (a huge bonus), we exited its back door to breathtaking views across the harbour. The steps down to the house were steep, make no mistake, but grandma managed them with her stiff knees - just need to hold on to the rail. The house was amazing - clean, lovely decor, and very well equipped - and provided similar amazing views of the harbour from both the lounge and the balcony of the master bedroom, where you could sit and watch the world go by. The location was fantastic - close to the harbour with its superb restaurants. The walk back up to the house from the harbour was a challenge - grandma and I lagged behind as my fit wife and kids stormed ahead - but the steps were a price worth paying for the gorgeous views you get back at the house. Wonderful to see Brixham lit up in the evening. My family's been on some fine holidays in Italy and France but this holiday was our favourite - great town (more charm than the other towns of Torbay) and a wonderful holiday home. Highly recommend Captain's Cottage.
