Brixham is my happy place and I was lucky enough to stay at King's Quay summer 2025.

We loved it that much we booked again for this Summer. The views are outstanding. The location is amazing, right on the harbour so easy access to everything. It's definitely our go to place and I hate leaving!

Kings Quay Stay August 26

Fantastic location, and an excellent multipurpose use space upstairs for the family to enjoy, with amazing views of the harbour. However property lacked a few essential such as hoover for us to keep it tidy during our stay, the washing machine wasn’t working, and very rusty outdoor table on what is a fantastic outdoor eating area. Overall the finish was tired in places, and the cleaning standard wasn’t fantastic with food under the bed and grubby floors.

We enjoyed our holiday. Location fabulous. Apartment reasonably clean except for seagull droppings on two places on the glass screen on the balcony, these were dried on and obviously must have been there at the last clean, should have been removed. We had to buy some cleaning cloths to remove them.

Fantastic location with superb views!

We were a little concerned about the cleanliness of this property before we booked due to previous reviews but we contacted the company and were reassured all was in hand. This indeed was the case as the cleanliness was more than adequate. The view from the living area is amazing and light with triple aspect 2nd to none. The 3 of us were very comfortable, great beds and bedding and towels of a good quality. The location of the property is fantastic - you couldn’t get better! There was no visitor book so couldn’t leave any tips which was a shame. Overall lovely property.

Beautiful comfortable house.

Love this house and its fabulous location overlooking Brixham harbour. The beds are very comfortable, and great showers. We didn’t cook in the house - just had breakfast and made a couple of picnics for lunch. There are some lovely restaurants around the harbour and area.

Lovely location

Although the property details state that it sleeps 6, two of these would have to be small children as the third bedroom is tiny has small bunk beds. Overall, the property is really lovely.

Wonderful Views

This is our 4th visit to Kings Quay we noticed on this stay some upgrades new glasses plates etc and cleaning to a higher standard. We were very comfortable and this holiday made use of the balcony which was lovely with it's stunning views. We also like that parking is in the nearby carpark and not down on the quay like some. We are already looking forward to our next visit

Great stay in Kings Quay

It was my first time staying here and loved it so much I have already booked again for later in the year. The main favourite for me was the balcony and the views. The place was spotless, and good quality carpets and furnishings. I was really happy with my stay here and recommend it 100 percent. No knifes and forks so best to bring your own., amongst a few other smaller things like soap or shower gel, apart from that which is easily sorted I loved my stay here. I'm already looking forward to going back in October. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Great place to really appreciate the beauty of Brixham

The house is in a fantastic location to take in everything Brixham has to offer and also the rest of Torbay. Nice modern finish to all the rooms but the open plan kitchen, dining, lounge area with balcony is definitely something to admire. The only thing I could pick up on really is that the house could do with a bit of a deeper clear over lamp shades and skirtings. A dust pan and brush would have been handy to have just too keep the place tidy whilst there for the week. No iron either unfortunately but those are small problems which definitely get overshadowed by the beauty of this place.

It feels lime our 2nd Home

This is 5th visit to King's Quay. We feel like we are at home from the minute we arrive. This time on arrival the whole house and been newly painted and it was lovely and bright refreshed and looking very clean. We were lucky that we had lovely weather and was able to make use of the seating area outside where the views are magnificent. We ate in most evenings as we travelled with elderly parents with mobility issues. We felt we had the best table on the quay without even leaving the property I

Kings quay.

Absolutely fantastic house and location. Unfortunately was let down little by the cleanliness. The utility room was very smelly due to an old fridge freezer in there that was all mouldy. Lucky for us we didn’t need to use it. The floor in the onsuite bathroom was very dirty. My wife went out and brought a cheap mop and bucket. But we had a fantastic week and we’ll definitely go back there.

Hi Mark, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the house and its fantastic location. The old fridge freezer in the utility room was thoroughly cleaned and awaiting council collection, we do apologise for this. As for the smell, it was actually from the road drains—South West Water is already working to resolve the issue. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another stay in the future. Great location / needs a clean!

Location perfect. Parking near by works well. In general the place is well equipped and ok condition. Unfortunately, the place was filthy. I’ve read other reviews and I wasn’t fussed about the sofas etc. However the place has not had a proper clean for a long time. We made them come back in the first day to clean the bathrooms as they’d not been done - mould and grime was wiped off by hand when I was in both showers. The first shower over flowed as the plug was blocked therefore hadn’t been checked. Bird crap on windows which hadn’t been cleaned this year I would guess. Dust was everywhere… I could go on but it’s pointless as it won’t get done. I was there to enjoy my break not to monitor whether someone can clean. Still no tea towels provided!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re happy to hear that you found the location perfect and that the nearby parking worked well for you. We’re very sorry to learn that the property did not meet your expectations in terms of cleanliness and that this impacted your stay. We understand how important this is for a comfortable experience, and we value you bringing these concerns to our attention. We reached out to the local contact and they ensure their team cleans the property thoroughly before each booking. In addition, they regularly schedule deep cleans to maintain high standards throughout the year. The oven is also booked for a professional clean this month, and they are arranging for all sofas to be professionally cleaned. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.

Beautiful views

Our second visit to Kings Quay. This is a beautiful property situated with the best views in Brixham. Very tastefully furnished and comfortable. Parking permit included for marina car park a short walk is a bonus. Lovely to watching the fishing boats. We have gone in winter months and fabulous views across the bay at night of Torquay lit up. Only downside we felt was could do with more kitchen utensils. For a 3 bedroom property. We went as a party of 4. There were only 2 wine glasses provided. We went out to buy our own. Also no extra cleaning items bin bags/toilet rolls washing etc .Which for the price we would have expected to find replacements. Again we had to purchase. Some areas of the property were quite dusty too. However we would definitely stay again and are already looking to re book for the autumn

Wonderful view & balcony area

Overall we had a lovely stay as we love Brixham. The view is spectacular & the upstairs open living area lovely and light. The beds were super comfy. Plenty of towels. Unloading wasn’t as hard as I’d thought, we just pulled into the little side street and quickly unpacked / loaded. The permit for the carpark was easy to use and about a 5 min walk away. There were a few little niggles for me I wouldn’t usually mention but I am doing mainly because of the ‘luxury’ status and high price I’d paid, but they’re nothing that wouldn’t stop me booking again. The couches were a hard, not at all comfy and in need of a clean, one of them had a blanket placed over to cover up several stains, the other blanket in the basket provided smelt dirty and needs washing. There were no oven gloves and one tea-towel so you had to try & use that to get stuff out of the oven. Not a single cleaning product or cloth is available (apart from washing up liquid and a tiny thin washing up sponge), so I had to go out and buy stuff to be able to wipe down after cooking and before we left. Pans and utensils were plenty for what you needed but the crockery and glassware provided wasn’t very good. Several mismatched chipped plates. No matching wine glasses, one weird cava glass I’m guessing another guest had gone and got from a charity shop, loads of point glasses though. As a bigger family you wouldn’t have been able to have matching crockery and glasses at the table. The en-suite shower leaked onto the wall at the side, damp patch visible after just one use so we used the bathroom one. The noise from the busy road which is right outside the main bedroom & kids room didn’t bother my hubby he can sleep through anything but I had to go in the back bedroom to be able to sleep. We would definitely stay again but I’d know to bring my ‘kit’ I usually bring when staying somewhere new of oven-gloves, spare tea towels, kitchen roll, wipes and a decent gin and fizz glass, etc.
