The property consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy dining area and a balcony. The apartment sleeps up to 6 guests. Essentials are provided.

Great location, a few unhappy details
Good morning, I am writing to give you some feedback about our recent stay at the property at 15/9 Tron Square in Edinburgh. Of note, we are American and had never traveled to Edinburgh before, so we did not know the city at all upon arrival. Location: The proximity of the location to the Royal Mile was superb. Unfortunately, it was up several staircases each time one wanted to get to the Royal Mile. Property advertisement: The property was advertised as being on the “3rd floor, and there is no lift available” and also as “3 flights of stairs to the property”. In America, each flight of stairs is usually between 12-15 steps. We were advised this property was 64 steps to the “3rd floor” only AFTER we were given the check-in details. Also, in America, the first floor is equivalent to the European “ground floor” or floor 0. So, our apartment was effectively 4 stories up and 64 stairs from ground floor. These steps did not take into account the steps it takes to get from street level to the ground floor. With three heavy suitcases in tow, this was very much an inconvenience. In addition, I had just recently recovered from physical therapy for a knee injury, which made it even more difficult to get in and out of the apartment. Bathrooms: It was very convenient having three bathrooms for our family of four. They were all very clean looking and we were happy to have them. Great location but …
The apartment is very clean, and the kitchen and baths are brand new. However the building is older and a little run down, and dragging suitcases up the stairs was tough—the listing notes the number of stairs, but it’s a bigger deal than I anticipated if you are not a light packer. The biggest issue was that the apartment smelled smoky. Perhaps some one in one of the other apartments was smoking, which can’t be helped, but it did bug me the whole stay. I did not check in with the property manager about it because there didn’t seem to be an easy remedy. The pictures make the space seem bigger than it is, but that would have been fine but for the smoke. The back windows look out over a courtyard with a pre-school in it, so the kids were loud most of the day, but they sounded happy. Location is great, except that the building is at the top of a hill, making the stairs up more daunting. We wouldn’t stay in the apartment again due to the smoke smell and the stairs.
