This was a great apartment right in the heart of the Royal Mile. It was comfortable for our group of 5 people and we had all the amenities we needed. We could easily get to everything from this location as well and even watch street performers right outside our windows. The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. Highly recommend.

Apart from a bit of noise on the street, a lovely historical flat near lots of tourist attractions and shopping.

Great apartment

The apartment is clean and well furnished, right in the heart of the Old Town district. There are a lot of dining options, including a great tapas restaurant around the corner.

Fantastic location

We visited for one of our daughters to look around the university. There was plenty of space for our group and the location was perfect doe the uni and close to shops, castle, camera obscura etc.

Perfect Location

We absolutely loved this VRBO. It was in the perfect location with so much history. It was very warm with plenty of space for all 6 of us. The stairs weren’t a problem for my mother in-law. We will be booking again when we return!

Location, location, location

Excellent location for all things in the old town. Great set up for our family of 4, mum dad and two teenagers. Would highly recommend.

Riddle's court

Very clean and comfortable accommodations. Location can't be beat (when the street repairs are finished!). No elevator and 2 flights of spiral stairs so mobility could be an issue. Will stay here again when in Edinburgh, many options of restaurants, bars, activities etc.

Location!

Overlooking the Royal Mile and not far from the castle. Wonderful building with structural interest and small sitting room with balcony off one of the bedrooms was a delight. Enjoyed our stay in this lovely and spacious apartment

Beautiful Apartment

A fantastic apartment situated on the Royal Mile with excellent facilities. Everything we needed was there, lots of room and although there were only 3 of us could easily have accommodated 6 people by using the sofa bed, as listed. The location could not have been any better, so central and lots of lovely pubs and restaurants around. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone going to Edinburgh!

The location was amazing with spacious rooms and comfortable beds!! We were in walking distance of all of the main attractions. The balcony was stunning and all of the rooms were clean. The host David was helpful and made the trip easier. I would definitely recommend this place for others. **Side note: The taxi ride from the airport cost us around 60 pounds for 4 people and all of our luggage.

Perfect location and great amenities

Wonderful three night stay in Edinburg with my son. Great apartment with all the amenities needed for a great stay. Close to everything right on the mile. Communication with David was excellent with rapid responses. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone who would like to visit Edinburg!

David Hume's place has charm, great location and very comfortable. If I ever come back to Edinburgh I will most definitely try to get his place.

Wow! The pictures and description don’t do this place justice. I felt like we were in a movie with the location of this property. We spent nights looking out the windows watching the street performers. The place is so charming as well, knowing it’s a family home was even more charming. There were two king beds which was nice but they were very uncomfortable, there was also a lack of extra sheets/blankets and the comforters were very heavy. It was a little hot when we were there so having a few other bedding options would have been nice. That being said the charm and location made up for the beds/bedding. If you want to be steps from the castle and the action this is the place to be. It can get loud but after the first night we settled in. We just loved this place as a family of 4 with a 10 & 13 year old and my 73 yearOld mother in law. There are a ton of step but she did totally fine with them.

Historic charmer

The apartment was as we expected it to be. Amazing location in the middle of the Old Town but still kept fairly quiet by double glazing. The stairs were challenging to get suitcases up and down but we did it. The apartment was warm, cosy and quite well equipped. Would stay there again.

Amazing stay on Royal Mile

This was a beautiful condo in a historic part of old town. Walking out the front door you feel like you are in a fairytale. It was close to all of the tourist activities that we hoped to do visit during our stay and was just steps away from Edinburgh castle. There was an adorable diner just downstairs that we visited for lunch. The apartment itself was very comfortable and very large for our family of three. It had lots of cozy blankets and all the amenities you could need. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location, great apartment!

Spacious, quiet and comfortable two bedroom in a perfect, historic location on the Royal mile just steps from the Edinburgh castle and with many restaurants close by. Modern bathrooms and kitchen, washing machine. Be advised you will need to carry your bags up two flights but this was not a major issue for our group. The manager was responsive and friendly. Definitely recommend staying in this apartment!

Excellent location and apartment

The David Hume residence apartment in Old Town was a great find. Location was perfect to see the sights of the Royal Mile and it was directly across the street from the hop on-hop off tour bus stop. The apartment was spacious enough for a family of 4, with wi-fi, very clean and comfortable. Loved the sitting porch off the master bedroom. Entering the courtyard and walking up the two flights of circular steps made us feel we were entering into the past. Just a wonderful, magical experience that we would absolutely come back to.
