Ancienne ferme sur la rivière au brochet

Notre ferme d'époque repose sur 40 acres avec la rivière Pike qui serpente à travers elle et un grand étang à proximité. La maison a 2 étages avec toutes les 3 chambres à l'étage dans une disposition traversante. La grande cuisine de campagne convient bien aux repas de famille, au salon, à la salle de bain et à un porche 3 saisons doté de nombreuses fenêtres au rez-de-chaussée.
Allée de la route principale mène à la maison et un grand parking dans la cour.

A Little Slice of Heaven

We had the best time staying here! The property is so fun to explore. It’s close to town, but far enough away to give you the true UP experience. The owners were so easy to work with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Family trip to the U.P.

Cozy family farmhouse, it reminded us of my grandpa’s cabin. We liked the spacious kitchen, the games and books available, and the framed historic memorabilia. We had a great stay and would recommend it to other families!

I absolutely loved staying at this property! It is so peaceful and quiet. The perfect place to spend quality family time together. We chased waterfalls and beaches and had the most wonderful time playing board games every night. The hosts are amazing and the property is so beautiful. I look forward to spending time there again in the future.

Peaceful Get-Away

Beautiful property, exactly as advertised. I did a lot of sightseeing while in the area but this is a property where you can get away and just relax for a few days without going anywhere. Quiet and safe.

The Pike River farmhouse was simply charming! It was very clean, comfortable, and homey. It was well stocked with kitchen items, books, games, and movies. The owners did a FABULOUS job of communicating throughout the process. I would highly recommend this site to others!

Wonderful Stay in Chassell

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Chassell as we visited with our son who is attending Michigan Tech in Houghton. So nice to visit with in him the comfort of a quaint, clean and comfortable home versus a hotel room. Everything was just perfect. We would love to stay here again in the future

Farmhouse

We had a wonderful time as a family here. The farmhouse was clean and cozy. There were also several amenities on the property that kept us active and busy during the entire stay - swimming, hiking, s'mores, kayaking, etc. This was a great place for our trip to the upper peninsula!

Very nice place and well kept up. Stocked with everything needed. We didn't realize we would have to walk thru one bedroom to get to, which may have been awkward in certain circumstances. We only need two of the bedrooms so it was fine for us. Hand towels are provided, but are in the bedrooms versus the bathroom. Beautiful place, definitely would stay again.

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed your stay! Our property description does include “upstairs bedrooms in passthrough style” but I can try to make that more clear for the future. Included amenities are generally offered in a personal homey fashion as opposed to hotel style.

Beautiful place

If you’re looking for a quiet and secluded place, where you can hear birds chirping and dew on the grass each morning, look no more. Nancy was super responsive to the texts, helpful with the information about the area. The place was clean and perfect after full day of adventures in the UP. We would stay there again.

Great getaway spot!

The house and property are wonderful, and very clean. It's so quiet there, such a refreshing change from living in the city. My husband and I spent our 2nd anniversary here and we absolutely loved it! I will say if it's going to be hot keep in mind there is no air conditioning, and the house can get pretty warm during the day. Overall a restful and beautiful stay!

Perfect location

The house was outside of Houghton with a short 10 minute drive to town. House was quiet and comfortable. Nancy was very responsive and quick to answer any questions. We highly recommend!

More than we had hoped for!

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here over the past week. It was everything we had hoped for and more! The farmhouse was cozy and clean, with all the amenities we could possibly need. The property is meticulously maintained as well as most of the trails that we really enjoyed walking. I highly recommend you experience this place for yourself as there aren't even words that can do it justice!

Blast from the Past sturdy vintage farmhouse

This farmhouse is wonderful. Make sure you take notice of the fixtures and pictures and all the little things that remind you of your childhood. Also, go into Chassell and visit Timothy at the General Store. If you engage him in conversation he is a wealth of information. Nancy the owner is great with her prompt communication.

Lots to do!

We stayed 2 nights on a multi state trip, using this location as a rest point… and we really enjoyed it. We spent an entire day on the pond using the paddle boat and other water equipment. At one point I just laid on the paddle board in the middle of the water and relaxed! The kids enjoyed swimming, we walked a few trails, and had a bonfire. The only thing I wish it had was a washer and dryer but we just bagged up dirty clothes to wash at our next location in Minnesota…and the listing was clear about not having one… it’s just the only thing I’d change.

Very delightful stay in this sweet, little farmhouse. Easy to find and not too far from Houghton where most of our activities were taking place during commencement weekend. We enjoyed hearing sounds of nature around us when we returned in the evening. The accommodations suited us very well and we were very comfortable there for the weekend. Even after the harsher winter, it was fun to wander the property and see the brook and the spring flowers trying to bloom. I'm sure it would be a charming place to visit in the warmer months. Thank you very much to the hosts and I definitely recommend to visiting parents or any others who would want to visit the Houghton area.

Family Weekend Bonfire

Enjoyed family meals with our son in the cozy farmhouse! Hosted a bonfire to meet our son's college friends. The property is gorgeous and the fire pit was ready and waiting with a box of dry kinder available.

Relaxing in nature

We had a very nice visit with our son at Michigan Tech, the house is out in beautiful UP nature, even had some deer visit the house, twice! Nice, comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again!

Grandma's Farm
