The house and area was very nice but the beds was hard as a rock. No one liked them and made sleep and rest a problem. The reception girs barely understood english, creating frustration before the travel even begun. I also feel that a small handsoap should have been included in your startbox. You offer toilet paper to people but no possibility to wash their hand afterwards. :-) A small shampoo / showercream would have also been nice. We arrived in the evening, supermarket closed.

Better than I expected at this price point. We found the three bedrooms roomy enough for our group, with good privacy. The kitchen had all the basics including a dishwasher and coffee machine, which helped mornings run smoothly. Having both a bathroom and two toilets was really handy for us all.

As much as we loved the location and the flat itself, our check-in was a nightmare and gave us a bad first impression. We were arriving around 11:00 pm, so we called the reception, explained the situation, and they said it was totally fine. When we arrived, we rang the intercom to inform them we were there. First of all, the recorded voice was not English, so we had no idea what it was saying. Then, a very unfriendly lady answered and said I needed to check my emails and read about accessing my keys. I tried to explain that there was nothing in their email except ' Key instruction will be provided by homeowner at arrival.' She hung up and never answered again! Then I tried to call the number on our booking. A guy picked up and said he could not do anything, and I needed to access the reception in any way possible! After that, I called another number for urgent situations as I thought our case was now an emergency. The lady answering that number said the same! Now it was a 40-minute wait outside the reception with my 2-year-old sleeping in the car! I was at my wits' end when a security guy who was riding his bike and passing by stopped to ask if we were okay. Long story short, he managed to contact someone to give us access to the property, and we finally got in after midnight! That was really disappointing, and no one took responsibility, apologised or explained why this happened.

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Hygiene and Service at Roompot Marina Volendam The location of Roompot Marinapaek Volendam is truly beautiful – peaceful surroundings, charming little houses, and just a short walk to the lovely center of Volendam. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Upon arrival, we were told we couldn’t check in before 4 PM, which is fine, but the actual check-in experience was far from smooth. Right at the parking area, we were greeted by a dirty bag of used bed linen just lying there – a concerning first impression. Once we finally entered the house, we were shocked by the level of filth. The floor was visibly dirty, there were dog hairs everywhere, trash left around, and cobwebs hanging from the walls – clearly, the house hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks. There was no bed linen provided despite us paying extra for it, and the overall condition of the house was absolutely unacceptable. I understand this is not a 5-star hotel, but this level of neglect is beyond reasonable. When I went to the reception to complain, the staff seemed indifferent. I was told that since it was after 4:30 PM, no one could come clean until the next day – and surprise, no one came at all for the remaining five days of our stay. Only after repeated requests did we finally receive the bed linen we had paid for – and not without passive-aggressive remarks exchanged between the staff in Dutch, assuming we couldn’t understand. After driving over 1300 kilometers, arriving at a dirty, unprepared house was incredibly frustrating, especially considering they charge an additional mandatory cleaning fee and market the units as pet-friendly. If you charge for cleaning, at the very least, the place should be clean upon arrival. Plus, I've been rejected at the reception when asked for a cleaning fee refund. I would strongly advise Roompot to reevaluate their cleaning services and guest experience, and I would not recommend this location to others unless serious changes are made.

Séjour en cours, très agréable malgré un manque de propreté à l’arrivée (balcon, canapé, poussière et toiles d’araignée). Appartement agréable, spacieux, très belle vue. Volendam est une très bonne localisation, au calme.

Es wurden zusätzliche Gebühren gefordert, die bei der Buchung nicht ersichtlich waren. Wir mussten eine Endreinigung zahlen, obwohl die eine optionale Leistung war. Die Zahlung wurde nicht wegen den schlechten Zustand beim Verlassen der Wohnung , sondern vorab verlangt. Zusätzlich war die Wohnung in einem schlechten (sehr unsauberen) Zustand
