Town: Luddenden is a conservation village in Calderdale, close to Hebden Bridge. The community is first mentioned in 1284, and in 1375 a corn mill was moved from Warley Town to exploit the Luddenden Brook. Nearby, the attractive town of Hebden Bridge is the home to the picturesque Rochdale Canal and a delightful Victorian railway station. The town of Mytholmroyd is an easy drive away, the birthplace of Poet Laureate Ted Hughes, and famous for the Cragg Vale Coiners.
