Langrick - a bungalow that sleeps 10 guests in 5 bedrooms
Five bedroom holiday home in the village of Nethy Bridge, within easy reach of Aviemore and the ski resorts. Langrick is a wonderful light and airy bungalow with lots of living space situated within the quiet village of Nethy Bridge, the forest village, in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. Langrick is a 5 bed property with 1 king, 1 double and 3 twin rooms so there is plenty of flexibility for guests and is ideal for families. Although only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village you can step out directly into the Abernethy Forest with trails stretching from Loch Garten (The Osprey loch) right up into the Cairngorm Mountains. The Abernethy Forest is a National Nature Reserve and full of wildlife, which regularly frequents the garden. Unfortunately we cannot accept hen and stag parties. Big house lots of space, great location.
This is the second year we have stayed at this property as a family of 9 adults, 1 child and 2 small dogs. There is lots of space, garden and facilities are excellent and the location is second to none. The property and furnishings are a little tired and dated but I am sure this is reflected in the price because it more than reasonable and to be fair why stay in when the Cairngorms are on your doorstep. Only thing we would change is the fact that there are only 2 x doubles the rest of the 3 bedrooms have singles in them - we say this only because we have more adults than children.

Great stay at Langrick
The house is great. It is clean and spacious. It is located in a quite road, surronded by trees. It is well furnished with everything to accomodate large parties.
We enjoyed spending 3 days there.

Great stay with Family
Had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights with family and our dogs. Was in a great location, shop and restaurant just a 10 minute walk down the road, where we had an excellent meal. Enclosed garden for the dogs was perfect. Had everything we needed and more. The house overall was very clean, however we did have to deep clean the top oven and baking trays before we could use them as they were covered in grease and leftover food from previous guests. We all loved our stay here and would highly recommend Langrick to anyone. Look forward to returning in the future.

Very comfortable family home
Our extended family group had a lovely holiday in this very comfortable family house located right next to walking and cycling paths through beautiful woods. The house is in a lovely small village with a convenience store and a lovely cafe. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this welcoming house.

Friends gathering
We were a group of friends getting together to celebrate a big birthday. The place was amazing. It felt like there were rooms everywhere. It was a perfect size for our group.
It was well equipped for entertaining and plenty of chairs and space for everyone.
We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back.

Another relaxing visit to Nethy Bridge
Langrick is an ideal house to use as a base to explore Nethy Bridge and the wider area. The house benefits from a large enclosed garden, parking for 2, even 3 cars, and an outdoor seating area.
Inside there is plenty space, and a well equipped kitchen, although some of the utensils are a bit worn. Furniture is also a bit tired but the house was clean and tidy.

Family stay
We loved the property and the location was superb. However, as previous review in guest book the double bed mattress requires to be changed . Wooden chair in garden broken had to clean the plastic chairs which was not a problem but the garden area could do with a tidy up. The bathroom next to the bedroom in the self contained part of the house had a large crack in the sink and could do with being changed. Overall though it is a great property for a group or family and we will definitely return due to the location and space for our family of eight and two dogs.

As we did a lot of washing up separate from the dishwasher , a couple of extra tea towels would have been useful.

Very spacious and fully equipped accommodation
Langrick is situated in the beautiful village of Nethybridge within walking distance of the hotel, shop and cafe. We holidayed as a family of 10 and 2 dogs and the accommodation was ideal, big enough for everyone to have their own space should they have wanted it. There are 3 x living areas and a separate conservatory and the kitchen is very well equipped - the only negative is that it is so well equipped that utensils and crockery pots and pans are everywhere in random cupboards leaving very little space to put your own food in. This very slight negative would not stop me from booking this location again because the positives exceed the negatives - huge accommodation, lovely garden, plenty of parking a home from home.

Very clean and comfortable only thing could not get telly to work in small living room could get Netflix and prime but not ordinary telly programs
Could duvet covers fit the duvets sometimes you had the cover and no duvet other than that everything was fine

And Relax !
Fabulous break away with the family, lots of space for everyone and well equipped. Location is just perfect, beautiful walks on the front door and all the amenities that are needed to make a good holiday.
The property is not modern but gives that lovely warm homely vibe. Exactly what to expect in the Cairngorms!
The log burner and the open fire combined with the lovely big dining table gives the best family experience for all ages.
Only tip would be .. don't switch the lights on in the main bathroom at night .. the fan goes on and on for a very long time! However if you use the light on the mirror this prevents you needing to use the main light! A wee guide to heating bathroom in the "flat" area would help too ! Even with the electric heater the bathroom was a bit chilly.
However all other area's in the home were super comfortable and we would all come back again.

Great location
Nethy Bridge is a lovely place with lots of forest walks, a well stocked corner shop, cafe and hotel with good food.
House was OK. Well stocked kitchen with plenty utensils etc, but some looked a bit done.
Dishwasher and cooker were clean and easy to use; washing machine has black mould on rubber seal.
Bathrooms modern. Bedrooms roomy. Rest of house felt a bit tired and dated.
Outside space was great for kids but clutter ( e.g. potty) could do with being cleared away.
House keys very tricky to use. 5 keys on key chain, no indication which of the 5 doors they fit. Could only get one key/ door to open from outside.
Langrick is a quirky house, with an unusual layout, and a bit of TLC on the tired interior and scruffy outdoor space would make a huge difference.
I think you're paying for the 5 bedrooms rather than any kind of high end holiday rental experience. On that basis if you need the space, and the location is excellent, I'd recommend the house.
