A sleek and modern Shepherd’s Hut, Juniper brings together comfort and style. From inside a large floor to ceiling window provides views of the countryside, while under-floor heating and an indoor log burner will make you feel extra cozy. Outside, there is a large private patio area complete with a fire pit, log burning hot tub, and outdoor seating under a lit pergola.
Experience a luxury glamping break on a farm in the Suffolk countryside. All of our shepherd’s huts have private hot tubs, as well as everything you need for a memorable stay. Cook up a delicious BBQ on our fire pit or snuggle under a blanket watching the stars. Set within 70 acres of grazing paddocks, apple orchards and woodlands, they make for a truly relaxing get-away.

Woodthorpes is a family-owned farm in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Independent (and out of sight) from the main home, you’ll be surrounded by open fields and peaceful grazing horses. There are many wonderful routes for walking and bike riding which makes our 70 acre farm the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

You’ll be staying on the doorstep of Arger Fen, a large nature reserve and beauty spot, which you can reach easily by foot. A short walk will take you into the village of Assington which has a gastropub, cafe and farmshop offering local produce.

Nearby is the historic and popular tourist town of Lavenham – a Harry Potter filming location. Five minutes by car are two golf courses, a spa and gin tasting distillery. There’s plenty of ways to relax or unwind, in this stunning part of Suffolk.

Fabulous stay - truly relaxing

Loved the shepherd’s gut (Juniper). Rustic but with all the mod cons. The wood burner tub was amazing, lovely and warm. Great experience lying back in warm water under the stars at night. So peaceful on the farm with lots of privacy.

What a lovely stay it was for me & my fiancée. The most relaxed and peaceful couple of days we had & the log burner hot tub just topped it off, being in nature and waking up to pure quietness was the best feeling. Would most definitely recommend.

Booked as a surprise few days away for my husband’s 60th Birthday and did not disappoint. The perfect place to relax and unwind in the peace and quiet. We stayed in Juniper and it had everything we needed. The air con was a real bonus as we stayed in the heat wave. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Wonderful stay in the beautiful Juniper Hut. Easy communication with host to have hot tub pre heated before our arrival. The hut had all amenities with great information on the local area. Bed was comfortable and black out blinds throughout!

You have just what you need in the hut for your stay. Bed really comfortable.Additional extras like Bath Robes and Toiletries are great! Lovely outdoor area with hot tub and fire pit/bbq. Would highly recommend.

The Most Perfect Relaxing Weekend

I loved it all from the minute we drove up the driveway to the minute we left.. it was all so beautiful, peaceful, and remote which was just what we wanted. For my first ever time staying in a hut with a hot tub I can say I absolutely loved it.. the hut was beautiful inside and out, it was all so incredibly beautiful, waking up to see horses and bunnies every morning, hearing nothing but wildlife, I would 100% love to come back!

Such a wonderful few days!

We stayed in the Juniper hut & it was lovely.It was cosy,comfortable and really well thought out with lovely touches like the coffee machine, marshmallows for toasting, slippers and robes. The log hot tub took about one and half hours to heat up and was so relaxing, looking up at the stars in such a peaceful secluded spot! I loved the smell of the logs burning too!We also opted for the breakfast basket which was delicious! The whole stay was relaxing, romantic and really special! We’ll be back!

Absolutely amazing!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

It was all the little details and touches that really made our stay so wonderful! Everything has been thought about, making it so easy to just arrive, settle in and enjoy the break! The area is totally private and very peaceful, the hut is beautifully finished inside and out with a very well equipped kitchen if you’re eating in and a great selection of local pubs/cafe's listed if you’re eating out! Gorgeous bed linen and the most comfortable bed and pillows! A stunning outside area! Perfect!

Disappointed in hot-tub.

Whilst we enjoyed the peace and quiet and clean comfortable hut we however wouldn't return to Juniper hut as for us the wood burning hot-tub wasn't a pleasant experience,it was stone cold on arrival and took much wood and over four hours to get to temperature....we do feel the hot-tub could have been warmed before our arrival so wouldn't have took so long to get it to a nice temperature.

The most gorgeous hideaway, perfect for a weekend of hibernation!

Couldn’t have asked for more. From the beautiful lighting and gorgeous scent when we walked in, to the hot tub, dressing gowns, cosy bed and underfloor heating, everything felt thoughtfully designed to create the perfect spot to hibernate. The coffee machine and marshmallows were such a lovely touch, and curling up with Netflix in front of the log fire made for a relaxing break. We fell in love with Juniper - we didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back.
