Our most traditional Shepherd’s Hut, Willow is cosy yet beautifully stylish. The hut comfortably accommodates a king size bed, log burner, and shower room. You’ll also have underfloor heating, a 32 inch Samsung TV, and Nespresso coffee machine. Outside, there is a private and spacious patio with outdoor seating, a hot tub and fire pit – ideal for al fresco breakfast, and relaxing in the evening with views across the horse paddocks.
Experience a luxury glamping break on a farm in the Suffolk countryside. All of our shepherd’s huts have private hot tubs, as well as everything you need for a memorable stay. Cook up a delicious BBQ on our fire pit or snuggle under a blanket watching the stars. Set within 70 acres of grazing paddocks, apple orchards and woodlands, they make for a truly relaxing get-away.

Woodthorpes is a family-owned farm in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Independent (and out of sight) from the main home, you’ll be surrounded by open fields and peaceful grazing horses. There are many wonderful routes for walking and bike riding which makes our 70 acre farm the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

You’ll be staying on the doorstep of Arger Fen, a large nature reserve and beauty spot, which you can reach easily by foot. A short walk will take you into the village of Assington which has a gastropub, cafe and farmshop offering local produce.

Nearby is the historic and popular tourist town of Lavenham – a Harry Potter filming location. Five minutes by car are two golf courses, a spa and gin tasting distillery. There’s plenty of ways to relax or unwind, in this stunning part of Suffolk.

This is the second time we have stayed at the huts, we love it there, the cabins are perfect for getting away for a few days, the fire pits and hot tubs outside make it a great way to relax in the evenings.

We're 4 friends who booked both huts for a long weekend together and it was just what we needed! The huts are lovely and cosy and the facilities are great! We enjoyed the hot tubs and making s'mores by the fire in the most peaceful location, The hosts are super friendly aswell and go out of their way to help! Lovely get away before Christmas madness!

My partner and I stayed in The Willows Hut for three days and we had a great time unwinding. We loved how peaceful and quiet it was and we especially loved the heated flooring in the hut, the super comfy bed and of course the hot tub! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Perfect location, perfect grounds, perfect stay

We stayed in the Willow hut and found it had everything we needed for our 2 night stay (but could have stayed another 2 nights as so much to do and see ). Heated floor was a lovely touch especially in the mornings. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The Information book was a big help for us as new to the area. We hired the bikes for the duration of our stay and had good weather so could go for bike rides locally. The hottub was lovely especially in the evening. We will 100% be back soon.

The most beautiful huts in the perfect location, this was just what was needed for a break away. Inside the hut was gorgeous, kitchen well equipped and the most comfortable bed! The hot tub was just the perfect for the relaxing evenings! Will definitely be returning!

Peaceful and relaxing

We enjoyed our stay in the Willow hut which was very charming. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The hot tub was great. The information folder was very helpful to us being able to plan our days and we were only 20-30 min drive to the tourist sites which meant not a lot of driving.

Truly amazing setting.

We loved the hut but a couple of small issues which didn't effect our overall stay. Firstly bathroom door did stick when opening and the only other thing was a glass and some rubbish left down side of hot tub. Nothing major at all but just wanted to mention. Such a beautiful and relaxing setting. Hut was very clean and comfortable. Hot tub was lovely and warm. We will be back and would recommend to everyone we know.

We had the best time!

We had the best stay at the willow hut, everything was perfect and we wish we’d booked extra nights. We were already talking about when we could come back! The hut was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, bigger inside than we expected & had everything you could need & the bed was so comfy too. In such a lovely area too, with so many nice walks on your doorstep. Thank you very much for the bottle of fizz for our anniversary, we had the best weekend! 😊

A luxury stay in the most relaxing setting

The hut was warm, clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Had everything we needed including marshmallows and toasting forks, as well as local recommendations and maps. The patio had a beautiful view over the horse paddocks and is very private. There’s a fire pit for toasting the marshmallows. And the private hot tub under the stars was the perfect finishing touch. We found our stay more relaxing than any spa trip.
