Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of Curaçao and many aspects of your birthday celebration. However, we are sorry that certain aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. Regarding the bedding, during your stay we did not receive any complaint about the comforters being too thin. Additional bedding is always available upon request. The stain on one comforter was reported several days after check-in rather than upon arrival. Because the bedding had been used during that period, it was not possible to verify whether the stain was present before the stay or occurred during occupancy. Concerning the ants, the issue was limited to one downstairs bedroom. Our local manager arranged for a professional pest control company to visit the villa on the very same day the issue was reported. The inspection found food remnants in the room, which can attract ants very quickly in a tropical climate. A second pest control visit was requested two days later for the same room, where food remnants were again identified as the likely cause. Both visits were arranged promptly and at no additional cost to the guest. Electricity usage is clearly disclosed in both the rental agreement and our pre-arrival communications. The villa includes a generous allowance of 400 kWh, which is sufficient for the vast majority of our guests. During this stay, consumption exceeded the included allowance by a significant margin. Our local manager observed that air conditioning units were frequently operating while exterior doors were left open, which can substantially increase energy consumption in a tropical environment. The additional electricity charge was therefore calculated in accordance with the rental terms accepted at booking. With respect to damages, a claim was submitted through the booking platform together with supporting documentation. After reviewing the evidence, the platform approved the claim and the charges were processed accordingly. For many years we have welcomed guests from around the world and remain committed to providing a well-maintained villa, clear communication, and responsive local support. We appreciate all feedback and continuously look for ways to improve the guest experience. One area where we can improve is by providing even clearer guidance before arrival regarding responsible use of air conditioning, energy consumption, and the importance of treating the villa as one would treat their own home.
