Cozy Country Escape - Convenient to New Buffalo, Notre Dame & Amazon data center

As a lifelong Chicago resident, I hold a deep love for my city, with its vibrant neighborhoods, stunning architecture, and rich cultural tapestry. Yet, I also cherish the moments when I can escape the urban hustle and immerse myself in nature. Hiking and exploring the outdoors are my passions, and I'm fortunate to have some of my favorite getaways just a short drive from home.

One of the greatest joys of my life is sharing these adventures with my amazing daughter. She’s always eager for a new day trip, and together we've discovered countless hidden gems in and around Chicago. Whether it's a serene walk along the lakeshore or a challenging hike through nearby forest preserves, we embrace every moment.

When we venture farther afield, our hearts lead us to Colorado. The majestic mountains and sprawling trails offer us endless hours of hiking and breathtaking views. The crisp mountain air and stunning landscapes provide a perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories.

Having stayed in numerous vacation homes, I've come to appreciate the comfort and amenities that make a trip truly special. As a host, I strive to offer those same welcoming touches, ensuring that my guests feel at home and can fully enjoy their own adventures.

In 1971, my grandparents visited a home across the street from this property. My grandmother fell in love with the area and expressed her desire to buy a home there someday. As they were leaving their friend's house, they noticed a "For Sale" sign being placed in the window of a nearby cottage. The rest is history.

The house remained in our family until 11 years ago, when it was sold. By a stroke of luck—or perhaps my grandma's heavenly intervention—I discovered that the house was back on the market. I knew I couldn't let this gem slip away.

Today, I am the proud owner of my grandmother's cherished cottage, a place filled with countless childhood memories.
