Welcome to "Be Our Country Guest". Our family has farmed for well over 100 years and have received the Hoosier Homestead Award. The property is surrounded by farm fields and woods. Enjoy the quiet of the country, but close enough to many restaurants just minutes away and many other activities. We are within 30 minutes to 3 state parks, Notre Dame, South Bend, LaPorte, Michigan City, IN and New Buffalo, Union Pier, Three Oaks, Sawyer, MI. Currently 130 plus reviews on another hosting sight with a 4.97 out 5.0.
The space
Walk into a little country oasis. The living room has a gas fireplace that can be used from October - April. Galley kitchen with a full size refrigerator, gas stove and a microwave. We have installed live edge counter tops in the kitchen with bar seating. There is also a banquet with seating for 6, for dining or playing games. Main floor bedroom has a king size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower and laundry area. The second bathroom has a walk-in shower, make-up area and live edge/river countertop. The loft area has 2 twin beds and a queen size bed.
We have a grill the guests are welcome to use and there is a firepit area in a repurposed corn crib to enjoy an evening of great conversation with family and friends. There is plenty of space to set outside to enjoy the views.
Guest access
You'll have access to the entire unit. Outside there is the concrete area under the lean too, where the grill and patio furniture is located. The firepit area is just off the concrete area. We are 2 minutes from a boat launch, and we have ample parking for any size trailer.
Other things to note
The 3 state parks that are within 30 minutes are Warren Dunes, Grand Mere and Potato Creek. There are many other activities, from 2 zoo's, 3 casino's, outlet mall, antique shops, boutiques, wineries, breweries, beaches and great eateries.
