Great place, can’t go wrong

This is a wonderful place. Everything is centrally located. The property manager was very personable. Can’t wait to get back. Lots of monkeys, birds and other animals right at the house.if you have any issues don’t hesitate to contact the property manager , she is quick to respond and very helpfull

Pura Vida

Our group had an amazing time at this house. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. They responded quickly and were helpful from the moment we booked the property throughout our entire stay. We were met with all of the gorgeous features of the house and the spacious living room and kitchen area made it comfortable and inviting for our group of friends. We utilized the pool daily and it was extremely refreshing. The pool guy came and cleaned during our stay as well as the cleaning ladies! They restocked our towels and freshened up our rooms. We were close to anything and everything we needed during our stay. The supermarket, tons of amazing restaurants, and the beach are all within walking distance. You truly get to see a different, relaxing lifestyle and this house is perfectly placed in the middle of all of that!

Beautiful, ZEN for sure!

The home was immaculate on arrival, and even more beautiful than the pictures. There was an issue with the master bedroom AC, however the problem was fixed quickly. Hosts were very helpful, and easily accessible, and didn't mind answering my silly questions! We were only there for two nights, wish it were longer! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Zen Home

We had the most amazing stay at the zen villa. The home has all the supplies that you need in case you grab groceries to cook. We enjoyed every minute on the pool deck and on the beach located down the pathway. The bed is comfy, and the grounds are beautiful. Just note, there isn’t AC in the house except in the bedrooms. There are some great restaurants located right across the street from the property in case you need a chill day and don’t want to travel in town.

Perfect

We had the best time at this house! Close to grocery stores, restaurants, 7-8 different perfect beaches. The house was perfect for our family. The only downside was the main areas did not have a/c, but each room did so it was completely manageable. Howler monkeys right outside our windows and various birds to listen too and amazingly beautiful butterflies just flying around. The maid and pool boy came in to clean while we were gone and communication with Emma was phenomenal. Great place to stay!

Beautiful Oasis

If anything, the listing undersells the property. Although it is near the main road, it is surrounded by high walls and is gated, but there is plenty of space in the house and surrounding areas. The management was very responsive and everything was clean.

Tropical Oasis

We loved our stay at this property. Very secure and secluded. Beautiful landscaping. Numerous excellent restaurants within short walking distance, small market across the street, 10 minute walk to a quiet beach, etc.... Just a perfect location for vacationing with a jungle and tropical beach feel.

Your own private jungle

We had an amazing experience!! The house is absolutely perfect! The communication with property managers was flawless! We stayed a week and saw so many wonderful sights! So many howler monkeys, green macaws and toucans in the trees. Sloths in the trees along the road to Puerto Viejo. We did not rent a car but rented bicycles and they were so fun. Lots of restaurants and beaches near by. We spent lots of time out by the pool and loved every minute!

Paradise

House exactly as described and in a beautiful garden setting. Hosts were quick to respond with questions/issues and the location is ideal for exploring the southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The pool was the perfect spot for winding down after long days exploring the rain forest looking for (and spotting the abundant wildlife in the area) and trekking the many beautiful beaches.

Lovely paradise

Our stay at Zen Villa was absolutely fantastic. The property was gorgeous. The pool (w/outdoor speakers) was perfect to end the night or start the morning. Nathalia at CR Vacation was a great help getting us set up with bikes and anything else we needed. Cute restaurants close by to walk or bike to. It rained a bit while we were there, but honestly the experience was so good it didn’t matter.

This place looks even better in person. It had everything you need. Great location and the owners are very quick to respond to any questions you have. We hired a chef (Carolina) for 2 nights and they were some of the best meals we had.

Incredible sanctuary in a beautiful location

To say this Zen Villa is nice would be an incredible understatement. It was huge, modern beautiful and nestled in this little jungle sanctuary near a very nice beach. Convenient to restaurants and not too far from Puerto Viejo.

Beautiful house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Zen House. It was beautifully appointed and had a wonderful outdoor area. It was close to restaurants and a small grocery store which we found very handy. We hope to return.

You will not be disappointed. Beautiful home and grounds that WILL bring that zen feeling.

We booked this home for 10 days and it turned into 11 because we didn't want to leave. Check in was very easy and the owners were very attentive and reapond quckly. When we walked in our first response was, "wow". The kitchen is huge and it had everything you will need. The house is very clean with plenty of towels for beach and bathing. There is tons of storage space as there are spacious walk in closets. The beds are comfortable and each room has air conditioning and ceiling fans. Let's go outside: The collapsing sliding doors open up to the spacious patio. This is where you'll find the pool. The pool is clean and the lights change colors during the evening, (adding to the ambiance)The pool is cleaned every other day.The gazebo is a nice little hang out and there are outdoor speakers placed around the patio. Staff came to clean the house after a couple days stay. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. There is a nice path right outside the grounds that leads to the beach. We highly recommend this rental.

Lovely property - critical review

The property is well designed and clean. Very beautifully landscaped grounds. There is beach access directly across the street- just walk down a path. My critiques are: The freestanding bathtub is not really functional, faucet is broken and it takes a long time to even partially fill. The coffee maker should be upgraded. Bath and pool towels should be replenished since they do not air dry because it’s so humid. I had to request clean towels after day 2 but someone brought them over no problem. The property manager messaged me and asked that I take out the trash and wash any dishes. I’m not sure if this is standard for the area but we were not asked to do this at the other house we rented as trash and dishes are part of the cleaning service fee we are charged. So just be aware that a pervious guest washed the dishes. Still an overall great experience. I would stay again.
